My First Time: AK47 & Gold Bar Kush

How many days now have you been treating the plant?

I pruned the treated branch on the Chemdawg plant today getting ready for when she starts making some pollen. I brought the plant out of the tent this morning so I could get her up on a table and properly examine the treated branch. She is definitely starting to produces some female pollen sacks. The branch has taken a beating from the colloidal silver spray which happens all the time if you apply the CS liberally like I do.

Here are the damaged leaves I took off the reversed branch.

Here are a couple photos from my flowering tent. The plant to the right in the photos (2nd photo) is the Chemdawg I am working to reverse and make some feminized S1 seeds. The plant in the back left (1st photo) is a Sour Angel 100% Indica strain.

A few photos of the branch I have been treating. I'll apply the CS two more time and then see what we get. I need to take 5 minutes and thoroughly examine the treated branch to see just how many pollen sacks are starting and on how many nodes.

Looking good Beez. I didn't spot any pollen sacks on GelatOG yet although I didn't have the time for a good inspection.

Also the IIP has been stretching. The new growth looks a little pale though. She's been getting 6.5g of the mega crop with every watering.

I'll be spending some time in the veg tent next repotting a couple of plants. I'll probably chop a Columbian gold and maybe one other to make room.

Nah, I think the color of the IIP looks okay. Did you remember that I give her nutrients (6.5 gram / gal. ) every time she needs water. I never fed her plain water, always nutrients in it.

Cool. I've been giving her the same except for the first watering when I brought her home.

I just finished cutting down a couple Columbian gold clones that I wasn't happy with. Repotted the GelatOG cutting since it had taken root, plus the sour Angel, Royal Gorilla, and chem 91 x ADC. The five it's it punch cuttings, and the two blue dream cuttings aren't showing roots yet. I did save one Columbian gold also but might end up throwing it out.

Oh, I added another 50 watt cob to the veg tent. Of course the one I picked up that's already wired up turned out to be 3000k so I'll have to change it later when I have a minute.

How far above the vegging plants is your light? They're looking a little leggy to me but it could just be the angle. I like to try to keep the node spacing closer together. Either raising the plants closer to the light or lowering the light. In a case with all different size plants it ends up raising them to get them close to the same distance from the lighting.

They are a little leggy. I expected that with only the one 50w flood light in there which draws 33w. The light I just added is a full 50w and should help. They're all between 12 and 20 inches below the lights. I could probably rearrange and get the lights closer. I did have the idea of letting them get taller instead of wider to be able to have space to flower two of them in a couple weeks and have space in the veg tent till then. Space planning is a challenge. I better decide who's going to flower next and take some cuttings too. Let's hope I get this new rotation figured out.

Looking good over here MrGreene. It's going to be interesting to see all of the It's It Punch clones growing. Still pulling for the cs to kick in on Gelat.o.OG. Mine looks like crap but I did the damage. At least the flowers aren't damaged.

I see some other friends in the veg tent. Yep...sure is going to get interesting.

Thanks Jim. I'm hoping the IIP has the same effect on everybody. That'll make things a lot more entertaining. Lol. I just applied the CS to GelatOG again and I can't see that it's kicked in yet. I'm hopeful that it does soon. I'd like to treat an IIP clone next. Glad your flowers aren't damaged. It can be hard to recover after mistakes and damaging them. My Columbian gold is a good example of that, but at least the tiny flowers smoke good.

Here's my Gelat.o.OG. I sprayed a precautionary mixture Neem and Rosemary on all the girls in my veg tent (just before lights off) about a week or so before I put her in the bloom tent. I was sure everything dried overnight yet the spray either damaged leaves or exacerbated any soil deficiencies that existed. I'll admit sometimes I don't measure properly and just toss a spray together on the fly. My bad. I think the flowers will be ok and sure look forward to getting a taste sometime next month....

Well she is looking perfectly fine to me with the exception of the thickness of the foliage. But you said she was due a trim so that will remedy that. My Gelat.OG is basically one big bud.

I also say that they look pretty healthy. I just mentioned pruning to my wife, never goes over well. She would rather me bend the tops over, she's an all leaves matter kind of gal.

@MrGreene are you happy with using floodlights for veg? I have often times considered tossing a couple in a closet to inexpensively expand my grow area.

For those new to this thread @MrGreene and I are each taking a different strain and attempting to reverse the plant to make S1 feminized seeds. The plant I have been treating, a Chemdawg plant started showing pollen sacks about 4 or 5 days ago.

Here are a couple pictures of this pretty plant.

I think the flood lights are my preference for veg. They only draw 33 watts from the wall even though they're labeled as 50 watt and don't get very hot. It doesn't take much air flow to keep things cool enough.

I am seeing a problem with one of the plants in veg and I'm not sure what's going on. She's in the front right corner and the farthest from the lights. The leaves are curling. It started near the top and is working it's way down the plant. One of the others started looking the same a few days ago but has been getting better. I'm tempted to pull her out of the pot and have a look at the roots. She was starting to get root bound when I moved her into this pot the other day.

IIP should be about finished stretching soon. I'm starting to see some pistils and she is about chin high now.

The GelatOG is still getting CS every day but I haven't seen any pollen sacks yet. I didn't get to check in on her tonight though because of helping my daughter with car problems. Hopefully we will start to see signs of change soon.
