MSquared's Organic Soil Indoor 4 Strain Grow - Perpetual

I want to start this journal by saying to everyone on/around here. I have learned so very much over the past year culling through hundreds (if not thousands) of pages. Please everyone keep up the excellent work!!

I really started growing mj for my wife who has MS she does really well for having it but has to take a lot of rx as most of you do, but with mj she hardly has to take any especially for the twitchiness and sleeping.

This is my 2nd grow, the first which was harvested in July was in all consideration very successful. It was 14 conf cheeses which netted just over 20z. now mind you it was using mg organic soil and some orchid fert. towards the end of the grow I used Alaska Fish Fert (aff) and organic blackstrap Mol. (mol).
these were in 4gal pots and I defoliated at day21 and 45 (i don't think Im gonna do that again).
Here are a few pics of that grow and harvest. this was truly some of the BEST smoke I have ever had! period! I was only able to get 2 clones from that run (my fault, but I learned). I have now gotten many more of those 2 clones.

On to the tech data and current setup and grow:

What strain is it? BC Roadkill (BCR), Resin Bomb (RB), Conf Cheese (CC), Gov Mule (gov(pg-13))
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? mostly Indica
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Both
If in Veg... For how long? the clones have been in there for a few days
If in Flower stage... For how long? 1 week
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor
Soil or Hydro? SOIL - love getting my hands dirty
If soil... what is in your mix? Promix base, but see soil pic
If soil... What size pot? 6gal I think.
Size of light? (2) 600w HPS and (16) 23w 2700k CFL Bank (I built)
Is it aircooled? not yet, but hopefully soon!
Temp of Room/cab? 72 - 85
RH of Room/cab? low mid 50s
PH of media or res? not sure...
Any Pests ? gnats sometimes
How often are you watering? 3 to 4 days
Type and strength of ferts used? AFF and MOL every other

MONDAY UPDATE - FLR Room Day 9 - CLONES Day 13

Well I was away for the weekend and it is the first time I have left them. I was very nervous about leaving them. I know that everything is automated (well the lights and air system) but it is still hard not seeing them everyday.
I came home and found a few balls hanging out in my grow room This was expected as I didn't have fem seeds for the gov, rb and bcr. I of course was hoping for all females.
so I chopped down the boys and I think the remaining 9 are all girls.
I will post a new height/sex chart tomorrow along with better pics.

Mid Week Update

So I had to cull 6 males yesterday However that leaves 8 healthy beautiful FEMALES!!!
I have:
2 BCRs (BC Roadkill)
2 CCs (Confidential Cheese)
4 RBs (Resin Bombs)

It is an abbreviation of molasses (organic blackstrap molasses) to be exact.

That is exactly what it is and here is a picture of the back of the container. This stuff really has everything our beloved plants could want.

It was really fantastic!! I can't rave enough about the flavor. I took mg organic and perlite 4 gal containers. I didn't feed until week 3 of flr and then I used an orchid bloom chem fert (1/4 str at first and then 1/2 str towards the end) with alaska fish fert and mol every other feeding and then in between I used just water and mol. I just really wanted to take to another level so I built this new soil receipe based on a few others I have seen out there.

~~Mid Week Picture Update~~

Here are the 8 in the FLR room.
I have a couple of girls that are just getting to hot in there and I think the mg prils are releasing too much fert into the soil and they are burning because of it.
my 800btu ac is a portable one that has a small bucket that fills up and shuts off. I am going to construct a much larger sealed res for it to dump into so it doesn't shut off every 2-3hrs ( i am hoping to get a good 24hrs before having to empty it). duing the day I am gone from early morning to 6ish each night. so I am not home to empty it.

Good Morning 420!!! Its Friday and as most of us we LOVE Fridays
I had quite the busy time last night.
I had to transplant RB5 as it was not happy at all, poor little girl. I think she really got burnt from the leach of the prils.
I also took 8 more clones off of cc1 and cc2.
Here are the pics of the cc clones this morning and they really look STRONG:

Ya know what I just realized I had 100% success rate with the clones. I hope I have it again with these new 8 CCs!
I really like to keep my temps at 80 and my humidity at 85 until roots start to show which should be in 3-4days as that was what the last batch showed through their peat pellets.

I also reworked my portable 8000btu ac last night to use the continious drain feature to empty into a closed container. I 1 shut off my dehumidfier which lowered the temp about 8 degrees and with lights on last night ( I run mine from 7pm to 7am) so the temp were right 77 last night and when the lights went out this morning it was 68!! so the few ladies that were feeling the burn from the mg prills should be recooping within the next few days!!! YEAH YEAH. I am so very happy I finally got this all sorted out.

Yeah, a dehumidifier makes warm air. I just let my AC pick up that heat too, since I use a sealed environment. The AC will act as a dehumidifier to some degree, so if your AC does a good enough job, you might be able to leave the dehumidifier off for now. Just keep an eye on it, because when the temps outside change the AC may not be as good of a substitute dehumidifier because it may run less.

Some people may say using MG nutes is a bad idea because it can burn your plants. And it can. Of course, most nutes can. I would say that if you find the right combo to keep them healthy, you flush well, and you are happy with the result, go right ahead. Just be careful about the burn. You could just flush 10 gallons of water through each pot if they get too 'hot' nute-wise.

The plants look great. Nice and green and I didn't see any unhealthy plants. Some have the leaves curling under. Look at the leaf tips - I bet they're a little burned. But as long as they are otherwise healthy (as they are) it's only a warning and not a big deal. Mine are like that in veg a lot 'cause I push them a bit. And some of those look like they are starting to wilt, but that may be when you were gone over the weekend and they got a little over-dry.

Please don't think I'm bagging on your grow. Just sharing what I see so maybe it'll help. I like your style here and I'm subscribed. I look forward so seeing these girls grow.

~~Monday update~~

we will start with the youngest clones, which are on Day 4 and look extremely strong:

Here are the Day 20 Clones which are in veg now 18/6 with the 12 cfl light bank.
It has 4 3500k 23 watt cfls and 8 5500k 23 watt cfls in it. It worked great last time I used this in veg.

Here are the big girls: they are on Day 16 of 12/12 with 2 600w hps and a 16 2700k 23watt cfl light bank.
I watered/fed this morning with 168z of water + 2tbl of AFF + 10ml mol
They are huge and I will have the height chart tomorrow for the flr girls and veg girls

~~CLONES HEIGHT CHART UPDATE~~

I watered the clones this morning, they took in about 10z in a 1/2gal pots. They are all growing really fast, I def think some of them have hit the true veg stage. I am hoping to get them big enought to put into the FLR room by 9/3 that will give them about 3 weeks veg. I want them to be at least 18+ inches so if they are not that size I will postpone the time they enter FLR.

~~Friday Picture Update~~

Well everything seems to be going as scheduled (well at least for now - lol).
I watered/feed the girls in FLR this am.
They each received 168z of water and 2tbl of AFF and 10ml of mol.

They are getting much bigger and some of them will start to out grow their pots soon. Looks like I will be doing some transplanting soon... I think I am going to take them straight to the big pots as I know they are girls already.
