~~Monday Update~~
I went to check on my clone babies as I normally do quite often when I am home and I found this:
This one was one of the smaller set of roots all the others were growing well outside of their pellets! The roots were coming out the bottoms and sides.
Which means it is time to transplant them!
I have these last 2 rounds have had a 100% success rate cloning. This group of 8 were 9 days old
This is what I do:
I use Jiffy Peat Pellets:
Soak the pellet(s) in water/fertilizer combo (low N) and squeeze into shape, squeeze out excess water and push a nail into top to make hole for clone which should be roughly 1/2 inch from the bottom.
I shape the pellet to my needs and squeeze into the weight I want for moisture control so they all start out roughly the same weight.
I weigh out each pellet for moisture. Not too wet and not to dry.
I like to keep the temps inside the dome at 80 with high humidity in the 80s as well.
now on the the transplanting....
I lable each pot with their name and then prep my soil. I use pro mix, perlite and mg prills. I then add 2tbl/gal of Lime to the soil. so for these I used a tablespoons worth as these are 1/2gal posts.
Here are 3 of the 8 I had to transplant
Here they are sitting in their new home for the next several weeks along side their sisters!
So needless to say I am very stoked about these clones!
I hope everyone has a great week
