Sorry I haven't been around my friend. My life has been a frezy as of late. Thats some nice looking bud porn you have going on there. Very impressive size and YES, I am talking about your bud!
Seems like you have a nice flo going on everything.

Miss chatting with you!

Hey A1! No problem. I have been super busy as well. I have been keeping up with your journals mostly. Congrats I hear are in order for you. So you really are going to open one up huh? Good luck and I am just a deep shade of green with envy for you. :high-five:
Thanks the plants are doing just great and I will be harvesting soon on at least 4 of them in just a few short days. Today is day 53 for them and they are still swelling and the trichs are starting to amber the way i like them.
Miss chatting with you as well. :)

Alright 420, I am in the process of uploading photos from my extended absence.
I have been able to read most journals that I am suscribed to, but not really had the chance to post much.
I hope everyone is doing well and keeping them green out there :thumb:

I will be updating regularly again. I have harvest photos from my last six and lets just say it was a great 3 day harvest.
The weights were really good but the quality now is crazy good after an almost 3 week cure.

The mom chamber has changed and veg is ahead of flower now.

I will be going into detail with all the different stages soon.

:peace: and happy growin!

That is one good eye you have there TBD. Yes and oh yes. They really don't do much really. I don't know if they don't really like the taste of my hibrix beauties, but one simple treatment of some garden safe spray almost whipes them out. I have treated maybe once a month for a couple months now and they never seem to get bad (he knocks on wood).
Thanks I just recently built it. When it is not drying bud it is a mom chamber. I just put the 4 moms back in there after jaring my latest harvest.

:peace:

I know THAT leaf look all too well. I can now spot a spider mite damaged leaf a mile away lol
Glad you got rid of them though. They be a bitch!

I hear you! Not fun and I am always on the look out for them. I think myabe besides the hibrix soil, the BTi water barrel treatments help the most. I do spray once in a while, but I hate spraying buds so I avoid that if at all possible. I have not had any real pressure from them at all, but they are still around...

~ Harvest Update Info/Pics ~

Hey everyone! So I finally got to harvest my first hibrix Resin Bomb, Vanilla Kush and The Bomb.
So I chopped ST3, RB, IDK6 and ST1 and they went 56 days give or take a day or two on 8/1.
VK2 was harvested on 8/2 and TB3 was harvested on 8/3 on day 58.

ST3 wet weighed at 164 which has ended up dry at 46.
RB2 wet weighed at 252 which ended up being dry at 73.
IDK6 wet weighed at 223 which ended up being dry at 58.
ST1 wet weighed at 253 which ended up being dry at 78.5.
VK2 wet weighed at 307 which ended up being dry at 92.
TB3 wet weighed at 320 which ended up being dry at 96.
So not to bad at all... So now that I had a pretty good run through with these I will compare them to the next time I run these strains.
I love the RB and surprisingly the ST3 which has a peppery smell and taste. The STs were found in the compost pile on 4/20 so these are the first of the STs to be harvested. I am very positive in saying that ST1 is a Recon from DNA. So yeah on that one.
So I got which is the always dependable roughly 70% (give or take a percent) loss I get everytime from every plant so far.

Anyway on to the pics...

So this is the ST3 which has a peppery smell and taste, it is very nice and a really good high. I just wish I could have gotten more weight off of it.

Here is my RB2. With a very heavy stone and purpulish hue to it I love it.

Here is IDK6 (I don't know what this plant is other than indica dominant) good tight buds and a nice high. It was from a seed a friend had and said was good... he is right it is good. LOL

ST1 which I am thinking is a Recon did very well and I think that my ST5 is going to be a Recon as well so we shall see on that one.
She had huge colas and grew very well with little issue. A nice plant overall and I have a mom of her now.

VK2 which finally grew like I knew a vk could. Big fat cola and some really great lower ones.
The main cola was 75 grams wet!

Last but not least is TB3, The Bomb did a great job growing this time and I now have a mom of her.

This round went really well and I don't think I could have done anything else to make it better. I guess more light could always be used, but that is anther topic for another day. I had a really great run in my hibrix soil. Teas once a week and molasses and agave with every watering in between. I remineralized twice during their life with a TBL per 4g of soil. I also would use the soilids from the tea (which is mostly alfalfa) as a top dressing on them, but that is all. It is and will be a very simple way to grow going forward and I don't think I am going to change a thing for quite a while.

:peace:

Glad to see you back brother!
Congratulations bro! :high-five: Looks great! :thumb:

:ganjamon:

WOW! Those flowers are looking mighty frosty!

Pleased to see all of your hard work paying off in spades MS!

Great job as always! :thumb:

Thanks Goose, I sure like the projects you have going on over at your place too.
Looks to be another great outdoor season for you!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Vape! Its good to be back, been super busy and as you know the garden doesn't stop for no one :)
I have been able to maintain a nice perpeptual, harvesting just about every 4 weeks, it is a lot of work but it pays off in spades.
I mean if you don't care for one type you only have to wait a month and then get to try others :thumb:

So when is that new journals of yours coming?!?

:peace:

~ VEG Update Info/Pics ~

I thought I would get everyone update on the current veg state. I will be doing flower tomorrow to come on back for that.
I just transd my last round of clones for a while. I can only put in 6 or 7 per cycle or anywhere to 12 to 14 at a time in flower.
So I have enough in veg to last a while... Out of all of those there are only a few that I don't know the sex of. All the rest are either clones or have shown sex. This is a very good thing. The bad thing is I am kinda out of room in there. In about a week or so I am going to be hurting for space. I will be harvesting again in a few weeks so that will get me some much needed space when I put the new 6 or 7 of them into flower.

Veg is doing great! They are all growing well and are very happy. They have all been watered, pruned and sprayed within the last couple of days so they are all doing great.

This is large veg on the floor and they are getting big and bushy, the problem will be chosing which go into the 8g pots and which will stay in the 4 gallons.

These are both of the mom chamber. There are 6 in there currently and I don't like to put more than that in there.

This is a whole room view and they are all doing well under their cfl banks.

That about brings all up to date on veg and I will have flr tomorrow. They are all looking good too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Great update...things look like they are running smoothly! :thumb:

:peace:

I cant wait to have a regular cycle going again...But I don't think I'd ever go full perpetual, I want to play around with tailoring the lighting and environment to the stage of growth. But then again I might change my mind...It would be really cool to be able to just throw a clone in the flowering room when I'm in the mood for something different. :grinjoint:

It's going to be a little while before I can run another journal...just too much going on at the moment. I'm going to do something on the new room's construction though...that will be coming first.

~ Flr Update Info/Pics ~

I know this is a couple days late, but thought I would give an update to flr.
They are all doing well and 6 of them are on day 47 and the other 7 are on day 28.
Looks like I will be harvesting again in about 10 days give or take.
They are all looking really good with no signs of any issues which is always great.

Here are some pics of the 13. Most of the younger are on the left side and 3 of the older 6 are on the right side.

This is more of the left side. 3 in the middle of this group is 3 of the oder girls.

This is more to the right side. The 2 huge ones on the left and right are JHs.

All of these photos were taken a few days ago, but they have not changed a whole lot since then.
I will update flr again when it gets closer to harvest time.

:peace:

nice looking plants man, good luck on the harvest..

Thanks and yeah some luck is always needed. Appreciate you stopping by and come on by anytime. :thumb:
This should be a pretty good one as I have had a few of these strains for a couple of cycles now.

:peace:

M,

Nice looking plants my friend. Unfortunately with my hydro system I can't run a perpetual grow dammit lol

Very nice indeed and the UBT you taught me was kickass and something I'll use for the rest of my grows from here on out.

Thanks A1! yeah a perpetual is really nice I have to say. A lot of work goes in with a perpetual along with timing and some good ole fashion luck - lol
I sure wish you could run one too buddy!

I always use it as well and the UBT works great and not to mention being able to clone the top is always a great side benefit.

Good to see that everything is growing so well MS!

I wanted to chime in on the specialized lighting for various parts of the growth cycle. I did a lot of that early on, but I ended up settling with an alternating mixture of blue 6500 tubes and yellow flowering tubes in my 6 tube/4 foot fixtures. I now use these all the time from start to finish for my indoor grows and I have seen really good results using this mix.

No doubt!

Hope you are OK MS!?

Please let us know how you are doing!

Thanks guys! Doing well! Have been taking care of an ill family member.
Almost over now. A little sad but a long time coming if you get my drift.
So i am thinking of closing this journal and opening a new one in a couple of days. What do you guys think? I have had a couple of harvests since my last update and my plants are doing great but it has been hard keeping up even just reading your guys journals. However that will change in the next few days. Thanks for looking in and I really appreciate it.

Hey MS! :yahoo:

Great to hear from you! Sorry to hear about your ill family member. That kind of personal tragedy is never easy, and I can totally empathise with you on how draining such a situation can be on your own health and mental state! I knew it had to be something serious to keep you away from here for so long!

As far as your journal goes... If it was me, I would keep this one going, but ultimately its totally your call my friend! I considered doing that with mine several times, but my regulars talked me out of it. It takes time to establish a good following with a new journal and you already have a real good one here with this current one.

At this point for me, I am just going to stick with my main journal from here on out and finally close it out at the conclusion of my CS project with the GDP clones towards the end of the year.

Glad to hear that all your grows are doing so well! Looking forward to your next photo update! :thumb:

When you get a chance, check out my latest few pages of photo updates on my journal! I am having what just might be the best and most productive growing season ever!

Talk to ya soon and glad to have you back! :) :cheertwo:
