Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Lemone is a volatile terpene and it oxidises very quickly. Usually buds won’t hold past three months mark, so you have to enjoy these lemon aromas shortly after harvest. I’m not big on lemon myself and it comes to me all the time :)

Do you mean Limonene? I’m ensconced in a course on terpenes atm... I don’t see Lemone. Lemon/lime smell/taste can also come from Citral (a terpenoid in lemon balm, lemongrass and lots of citrus - and cannabis). But limonene is far more common and is in nearly all cannabis so I wonder if that lime thing comes from some other terps combining with limonene (maybe even citral) :)

Me Too! flavors and smells. cinnamon, that takes the cake, good one!
I want an old time cream soda like smell, I had a stem rub from a young China yunnan male that was very much like cream soda. the smell faded tho. as it got older. But, It was eye opening.

I also seem to be chasing that Lime smell. I gets Pine and Lemons and citrus-y all the time it seems.
Never a real Lime. arse! Hahaha! All Good!

I got lost there for a second. Took a tiny 1/2 a hit from my zamaldelica cob last night. Oh Dear...Hits with a rush, High as# at first 10 min. then a good happy mellow energy. Kept me awake a bit longer than I wanted but I slept sounds as can be. I think the cure is really helping with my ZamD harvest.

HI Guys :ciao:
I just had a bunch of lime plants. I love the smell, but it's pretty subdued in the flavor and it tends to fade over time. I could barely smell any in some year and a half old Panama I smoked recently.

I've been smoking a joint of Zamadelica with the wife the last few nights. We've found it to be a nice socially relaxing buzz. It feels like you floating and at peace. Very nice buzz to it.

The one and only carnival I did smelled like fresh cut limes. The flavor didn't come through in the cure though.
I had a lime one as well. The lime really popped out at a month, but after several months more it really faded and there was just a fuel smell left.

I've had a couple lemon flavored plants I enjoyed, but I don't know if I could smoke it daily. I've never tried Doc's Lemon Paki though.

It's probably a combination of the citrus terpenes as lime is a hybrid of citrus fruits. I just learned recently that there are only three naturally occurring citrus fruit. The rest are combinations of them. I had no idea they were all that interrelated.

Yep limonene, my bad. It’s one of the most widespread terpenes. But I never heard of citral, it must rarely pop up in chromatography.

I got nervous and moved the older dry box into my flower room for a night. They were ready to trim the next morning. Full sized Zamadelica & Blueberry, along with 1 gallon plants: Panama X2 & Sinai x Ultra Dawg.

I've been testing out the Panama to see if I want to flower out the cuts I have in veg. So far I've been liking both but I'm not sure I want to grow out the lime one a third time. I currently have it going in a give gallon in flower. Both are a racing, energizing buzz. No pressure in the head or temples, just this lovely sense of peace and energy. It's fairly short lived, 30 minutes for the majority of the rush, but all of the F2s that I've grown have been like that. They both are fairly potent. I think the one that is more woody with a hint of lime is the more potent of the two.

Speaking of potency, the Sinai x UD got cut at 6.5 weeks due to it throwing nanners, so I wasn't expecting much from it. It gets me to a nice spacey and happy place. I feel kind of wobbly like I've been drinking. And it's got some kick and legs to it. I'm excited to see what the one I was able to finish smokes like.

BTW @lazyfish, only 1 PS up so far. I'm still waiting on the second to show above soil. I may pop another if I don't see anything in another day or two.

Crossing my fingers for that second seed! I have 4/4 pop so far, the 4th one took a couple more days. GL
It was up this morning. It must have been up for a day already by the looks of it. I keep them bagged off while they germinate and I must have missed seeing through the bag yesterday. 2 for 2. :)

Now, I just need this Orient Express x Nepjam to show. I put it into dirt and bagged it off after it had soaked for a week without cracking. It's on a seed mat. We'll see if she shows.

Got a few pics from the garden.

My Purple Malawi mother is just finishing up. She'll get cut this coming weekend. My flower room has been reaking of mango the last few weeks thanks to her. She got severe wind damage when I put her into flower and she's grown these wide multi nubbed buds. This is probably going to be my biggest yield from her yet.

This coming weekend I'll be cutting the last run of Malawi x PCK. I love the foxtail buds she has.
I'm pretty sure this Purple Dawg F2 should be ready this coming weekend or the next. Very energizing buzz from the sampler I tested a week ago.
The P13 x Kerala continue to impress. This was Friday when she got her first Cat Drench a bit late at 44 days since pistols.
This was her today.

The purple flavor from the Malawi grandmother carried through. It's a bit lighter smelling. The mango is there, but there's a crispness in it. A bit of citrus maybe.
The two females from my second batch of P13 are happy as can be. I've had cloning issues and lost all but 1 of the 5 females I got. I also still have a cut of the male that started alternating nodes earlier than the rest. I have a feeling he'll make some super fast finishers. Every one of these I've grown so far finished in 7 weeks.
@neikodog I bent back the leaders today so they are a bit deflated, but I'm thinking about throwing these two into flower this coming weekend when I harvest the aforementioned plants. They haven't drank since transplant, but they are close.

I've been a bit busy. Replaced part of the floor in the chicken coop and patched a large hole. We also put in some posts and hung the first part of the fence this weekend.

I also transplanted another batch of veggies. My space in flower is shrinking as my veggies grow.
I'm beat. Back to work in the morning.

Peace

Beauties, as usual! Interesting to see the wide buds coming from high wind?

What kind of peppers do you have there?

Landlord just gave us a 3 month notice. Throws a stick in my summer plans, and a tear to my eye. Been here for maybe the best 10 years of my life. I'll have to find a good home for the PS's.

Cheers,

Why thank you!
LOL, I can imagine!

You have some nice harvests coming up. :welldone:
Thank you! I'm really looking forward to the Kerala crosses. I'm interested to see what they picked up from the Kerala side.

Yep, I think the wind damage did something like bud building, where you clip the tip to make the plant think it's hitting something.

The peppers are Cayenne and Hungarian sweet peppers from last year's harvest, along with purple jalapeno, pepperoncini, and Fresno.

That really sucks that you're having to move, and after being there for ten years. I'd take the PS off your hands if I was closer. Hopefully you find a taker and a place to move to without to much of a headache. I think you could used this.
:passitleft:

Nice! I love peppers. I grow some fancy super hots. And bells. They need homes, too haha. All good life happens. I built a sleeper van. I can grow my peppers and weeds on the roof!

Cheers Friends,
The bishop crowns didn't come up at all. Overall, the seeds I saved from last year seemed to do the best. The Cayenne and Hungarian sweet are doing well and the tomatos... Cherokee Purple and Brandywine will be coming out our ears this year with how many plants I have.

I hope you get your living situation figured out.

You could flip them but a longer veg won't hurt either. Neither stretch much and both will yield well given a good long veg time. The bubba takes to topping like a champ.
Sounds good. The Bubba Hash I had to use one of my shorter cages and it's already at the top, so it'll be going in soon. The A5 has another 12 inches before it hits the top of that cage so I'll probably let that one veg for a bit.

I've been trying to keep from growing too tall of plants. I was hitting 5-6ft in flower for a while and in trying to dial that back slightly. They were getting out of control.

The purples are looking great in your garden, and that P13 x Kerala is a beauty. :welldone:
Thank you. I didn't save a cut of it, figuring it wasn't probably going to make it since it's from a hermie pollination. I'm getting ready to dig through the buds from the plant that got pollinated looking for more seeds. I did pollinate it with two nice males from the same gene pool as the mother, so I should have some seeds to play with from there at least. Hopefully they continue with the fat colas.

Beautiful flowers Morglie :yummy: the purple Malawi is like little frosty roses. :)

Its where the name citrus come from :).

It has 2 occurances (isomers), Citral-a which is geranial (strong lemon smell) and citral-b which is geraniol (sweet lemon aroma).

So it can get listed as either geranial and geraniol. I remember reading it (‘citral’) in a list many many moons ago but haven’t seen it mentioned again until this course I’m doing now. Most of the material is delivered by Dr Samantha Miller from Pure Analytics for the cannabinoids and terpenes sections. I’m having a ball!
