Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Malawi with UD bud formation :)
I'm surprised that the purple didn't carry over, but it's got a serious energizing punch to it. The one tester I tried already was cut around 6-7 weeks and I found myself dancing and singing along to the music I had playing. It'll wind you up.

How are your Purple Dawgs coming along?

I got one that looks like a female definitely Malawi leaning... she's taken her time to regrow the tops after fimming, but there are absolutely no problems with her.

Awesome! I'm excited to see how your's turn out. You always grow exceptional looking plants.
:Namaste:

Nice reveg! Fun to see. \\How are the Purple Satellites coming?

Mine:

Mine are coming along nicely. They're drooping from just getting watered. I had to drench them due to an issue with the soil.
I have a pair of P13s to put out with them as well. This is a fast finishing strain, which could potentially do very well in my area. I figured I should start testing them outdoors.

I have a batch of 1st run soil that had the biota go dormant on me due to it getting too cold this winter. I've been using it exclusively for cracking seeds lately since the rest of my soil is 3rd run, which has a tendency to eat seeds.

All of the seeds I've cracked since I started with the Ace seeds back in February have been in this soil. I've managed to bring them all back into line with a combination of Super Drenches and transplants. One of the Mulange is looking pretty sad, but I have hopes she'll come around. She's one confirmed female. I have another I'm pretty certain is a female and another a male. The last two I can't tell yet.

I cut the F2 Purple Dawg F2 this morning and I'm toking on the Purple Dawg BX I cut a few weeks ago. It's just finishing up the drying process. Lovely spicy grape aroma out of the jar.

Oh, and I moved the Killer A5 into flower today! This may be the best canopy I've ever done without pruning the plant to death.

I'm not sold on the cut I'm revegging yet. It's just finishing up the drying process and I've been sampling it, but I don't know if I'm going to continue. The bud structure is gorgeous, but I'm not certain if the aroma and buzz are what I'm looking for.

Speaking of which, the garden got pared down a bit. I got rid of both cuts off Panama. I've been smoking on it lately and enjoy it, but not enough to maintain the cut. There are to many others to try. The Jack Herer showed as a male today, so he got cut as well.

I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with him, but I am still holding onto the male P13 cut that started alternating nodes a week earlier than the others. This is in a heavily sativa leaning strain, that finishes in 7 weeks. This male could potentially be an even faster finisher. I'm planning on popping Oldtimers and Ethiopian x Mauritius next. Pollinating them with him could really bring down the flowering time in the cross.

From the two Kerala I've tried so far, it's easily a 20+ week plant. The cross I have going with my P13 will probably be finished at the 11 week mark. I wonder what this male can do with these long flowerers.
:yummy:

The Killer Haze looks excellent Morglie! She looks really happy. I take at 77 days from flip, you probably could let it go another week but she is for sure ready at 77.
:thanks:
That's awesome that it's ready that quick. She bushed out very nicely for me. It's a very vigorous cut to be sure.
And thank you again for the cuts! Bubba Hash got put into flower last weekend, so they both are about ready to do their thing. :slide:

The Mulange are recovering nicely except for the front one. I have hopes she'll make it. If she does, it looks like I'll have 2 males and 3 females. About as good of blend of genetics as I can hope for from 5 seeds.
The squat one on the front left is the star of the group so far. She's really hooked into the fresh soil.

I'm cutting a Purple Malawi x (Zam x Pan) in the morning. 9 weeks since pistols. I didn't top or train it. I kept her in a half gallon veg pot for the first several weeks in veg, and I didn't top or do any training. She has the "straight as a stick" growth structure of the mother. I've managed to keep her happy until the end.

Peace

Gorgeous! :bravo:
Thank you. She's not going to yield much, maybe an once, but I was more curious just to see how it turned out. I made this cross a couple of years ago and had completely forgotten about it. Now that I'm busting out the pure Sativas I figured it was time. She's got beautiful coloring in the buds. Very slow drinker. I had to water her maybe every 12-14 days. She's been happy and praying the whole time.

Next up is Old Timers and Mauritius x Ethiopian in the extreme sativa category. They should be getting dropped in another week or so, so hopefully by New Year's I'll get to try them. ;)

I snapped a couple of pics to show what's going on. I've been a bit absent lately. Life has got me busy.
This girl will be getting harvested in there morning. I'm planning on revegging her. We'll see how she is once I get her out to cut though. I pulled off a couple of sterile nanners the other day, which is not unexpected, with it being a seed from a hermied plant, but it's been clean up until now.

Purple Satellite. The soil these are in had a dead microbial life. I've got it going now and they are starting to green up and look healthy. These will be going in the ground outside in several weeks along with two P13.
And three Mulange are coming along. The three females are in flower. Once they start to show, I'm hoping to put the two males into flower as well, to get them going. The clones from the males damped off and died, but the two females that I took cuttings of are looking wonderful. They should have roots popping out in least than a week. I didn't take a cutting of the one because it was still on the road to recovery from the dead soil. It'll work to open pollinate.

And lastly, I had to get a picture of my Killer A5. This is the best canopy I've ever gotten on a plant. It almost did it itself. It took very little work beyond some pinching and bending. Very nice cut.
I'm off to try out the Purple Malawi x (Zam x Pan) I cut last weekend.

Peace

So I culled the Purple Dawg x Kerala this week. She started to hermie on the bud tips, just like the father (mother) . She was 6 weeks in. I hung it to see what it smokes like, but it's super early so I'm not expecting much from it.

I also culled the male P13 I had because it started to drop pollen in veg under 18/6.

So I'm down two plants. Not that big of deal with my current plant count. I'm actually trying to keep some clones besides my Malawi and Cannotonic, so there's a bit of a back up happening in veg waiting for roots.

I've been having trouble with cuttings damping off. I believe I'm leaving the root plugs to wet. I've corrected since then and it seems to have fixed the issue. I lost the clones of both male Mulange due to this, along with the stretchy female. I still have the cutting of the squat one. It was looking like it was going to go south like the others, but I put it is soil away from direct light and so far it's looking good. It should be putting it roots now if it's going to. So at least I have one of them saved to run again. I didn't bother keeping a cutting of the one that was suffering the worst from the soil issue. I'll be keeping the genetics in the seed making, as I'm pollinating her, but I won't get to run the cut again, seed free, to sample her properly.

I am growing the original cuts out larger than planned for, due to the cloning issue, so I'm going to pollinate several buds on each instead of the whole plant, as they are in 5 gallons now and should finish as decent sized plants. I'm still expecting several hundred seeds in the process, so plenty to hunt through.

I popped the five seeds I had left of the Crockett Dawg x Tangie cross I made. I'm hoping the first one I grew out is represented I'm the group. It was the strongest smelling, highest yielding plant I've grown. Earthy, mushroom taste with a fruity skunk in the nose on exhale. Nice potent hybrid buzz as well.

I'm also popping a seed from my initial grow if the cross. The father is the first Kerala that hermied on me. After seeing how well the P13 cross did, I thought it might be nice to grow this out alongside. Maybe even try to work it into the cross.

Peace
