Morglie's Perpetual: New Space & New Strains

Looking mighty fine over here! Looking forward to your smoke reports on the Crockett Dawg and Bangi Haze. Seedbanks are just now starting to get restocked on Crockett Family Farms gear. I want to try another strain from them, preferably something without Tangie in it. I love the tangie crosses but I'm running 3 of them now. After following the thread for Bangie Haze at the other site, I've been wanting that too. The Bangie looks nice and healthy too :goodjob:

I'm really looking forward to the Bangi Haze. I didn't clone either though to keep plant counts manageable. The Crockett Dawg I tried last night. It hasn't really developed the flavor yet, but it's got a lot there.

I'm 3 for 3 on Tangie males. That's one I really want to get going and make some F2s in the process.

I was playing on chopping my Crockett Dawg and early bubba hash tomorrow, but I'm having to work. I'm debating whether to just give them both a reprieve until next weekend. I really need the space though. The veggie seedlings for the garden have taken over my upper veg area, so all of that has moved down to the lower veg area. I'm really pushing the extent that my lights will illuminate. I'm finding that I've not planned as properly as I should have. I've got two batches of soil cooking that I started on 2-12. One is first run and one is third run. I've got a fist full of clones that I need to get into soil pronto. I've got straight promix, but I don't want to do that because I'm not going to up can any of these, so they would be stuck in dead soil. They are all for seeding purposes, which is why I'm keeping them small.

I'm not worried about growing the most stellar plants, I just want them to grow seeds, so I'm considering pulling soil early, or even reusing my harvested soil and just throwing some recharge and Earth worm castings on it.

Testing out the early harvest of Crockett Dawg tonight. It has a spicy-ness in the taste. It's not quite the same flavor, but it reminds me of zamedelica with it's pepper mango flavor. It's a good buzz when you want to sit and chill. You can get up and get things done if you need to but it sure does feel good to just relax. It's happy weed. It's been a pretty easy plant to grow. My soil has been losing umph, lately, I'm thinking due to veg times in their final pots. So the leaves aren't the best on her, but she's really been bulking up. No amber yet at 8 weeks. The few I thought I saw turned out are purple.

The male I got was very vigorous. I used it to make a couple of crosses. I would recommend it as a strain to check out. It should be a nice counterpoint to Tangie for you Neiko.

Now to get a female Tangie to grow myself.

Use your 3rd run soil. It really only needs a couple weeks to be safe to use. 1st run, yeah you want to wait the full 30 days.

Thanks. I have a bit of that to spare. I'm planning on putting both strange brew clones into third run. They both ran out of steam early. The first one chewed through it's big fan leaves in the first two weeks it was in flower! Those are some hungry plants! I'm thinking the crosses I made with them and that vigorous Crockett Dawg should be pretty good.

I've been seeing some discussion about how Doc transplants and flips the same day. I'm thinking your method of doing recharge twice in flower is a good thing. If not three times for ones I veg for a while. I ended up recharging two plants yesterday when I realized they have both been in their containers for 2 months already and are still in veg. Even my 8 week strains are struggling by the end of flower.

I was a clean slate when I started HB growing so really all I know has been because of Doc and the gang. I've always flipped the same day I transplant until recently. Some strains just don't yield enough to justify the time so I started letting those sit in the 10 gallon for about 2 weeks before I flip them. When I do flip them I always top dress about tbs of Roots! Then I put the recharge in the 1st time it needs water after flip. So far I haven't had any issues and it did help the yield.

I tried dwc. Failed horribly. Then i tried Los, and managed to get two autos to finish before I found the mag and discovered Doc. Now I'm learning to nurture veggie seedlings to life outside of the kit. Using the kit has definitely helped me.

I have two basil plants I've had going in kit soil for a year or so. About every 8 weeks I need to give them recharge and ewc, or they'll start to yellow. So, I figure I'll give them recharge at the 6-8 week mark from up pot, then at cat time, and again at the 7 week mark on the longer flowing strains. Again at 11 weeks if it was one that was going to go 16 weeks or more. I've started this process with my latest big girls. I'll know in about two months how effective it is.

Some pictures from the flower girls.

I'm gonna get to Carnival very soon! It seems you can't go wrong with it!

The Love shack got set up again. Apollo 13 is the stud. He'll be pollinating both pheno of strange brew along with a purple Malawi. I'm hoping to bring over the high and not the vigor, because I have to say, these Apollo 13 plants I've had have all been fairly weak. They chew through their lower fans like crazy.

CBD critical cure. My second 'Sue' strain in the flower room currently. It's hard to believe this plant stayed seedling sized for over a month. She's around 3 ft tall over the top of the tote now and just started to throw pistols.

Bangi Haze. I have two phenos. I believe 1 is a Nepalese leaning one and 2 is leaning more toward the Congo side, but I have no evidence to go off of, besides bud structure from some Congo I've seen pictures of. 1 has a weird leaf structure where it's almost hand shaped. The blades all go the same direction, instead of fanned out.

Carnival, my other 'Sue' strain in the flower room. She's a biggun.

And we have strange brew 2. This looks to be the better structure and vigor wise out of the two I've got going. The buds are taking on the mass of foxtails look that the other one had from the beginning of flower. I'm really enjoying the first plant. It's been the daily day smoke for the last week and it's nice. Good energetic buzz, without clouding up the head. And you just have this nice, happy feeling. Lemon lime flavor with some spice in it.

I sampled some of the Bangi 1 there other night. It's got a nice feel good, happy buzz, but pretty clear headed.

Early bubba hash in the pipe tonight. It's got a slight grape flavor on top of roasted meat. Good for relaxing at the end of the night....

Peace

I have 3 plants up of a cross I made. I'm planning on flowering the female(s) outside this year. Purple Malawi x Ultra Dawg. They are the most vigorous seeds I've germinated. I put them in a cup of water and the next day all 3 had tails so I planted them. Two days later and they were above soil.

The ultra Dawg father. Conrad, I was wondering if you could tell me what pheno he is? There's not really any smell beyond a green plant smell.

My upper veg shelf has been taken over by my garden seedlings.

Which means everyone is crammed into lower veg.

And I have 8 clones I'm rooting for a friend to run outside, that I need to find room for....

The stems in that male are very purple. The most purple I think I have seen in a UD. WOW Purple Malwi x UD??? Awesome! Do you grow outdoors? or just indoors?

I've been growing now for 3 years. The last two I've had outdoor plants. This year, I'm planning better as I've been haphazard about it in the past and gotten mediocre results.

Those Purple x UD are bound for the outdoors. It's my first test of crosses with my purple Malawi. I've got an Apollo 13 and a Tangie male that I'm pollinating my purple Malawi with as well.

I've got three pck x erdpurt as well that are going outside. They all seem to be stunted. It's not uncommon with the strain, I just need to veg longer. They look funky right now, but are supposed to be very hearty for cold wet climates.

Thanks for stopping by LF.

Interesting cross that may be spectacular. Two killing strains bred together. UD looks like OG expression. They usually smell a lot. F1 should be vigorous, this is owed to hybrid vigour. Structure of all these three females looks consistent, though it'd be necessary to pop at least 25 to see what the split is. I hope this strain will be fun to play with :goodjob:

Thanks, I was thinking probably the OG pheno. I just finished a 707 headband that is mostly OG genetics, my first OG strain. It felt like I was dunking golf balls on strings when I was washing it because the stems are so wimpy, which matches what Doc has said about them, so I wasn't certain since this boy is sturdy. He has spent 8 months in that little pot though and been hacked back several times in the process to keep his height down.

I have an extra clone of my purple Malawi for pollination without a male lined up. I think I may hit her again with the UD. I only got about 30 seeds last time and I'm thinking this may be a good cross from what I've seen so far.

I'm thinning my flower room down a bit now that I'm getting a back stock. This way I'll have room for my breeding plants and room to test pop a group of seeds. I'm going to get inundated with seeds soon and need to start testing them out.

OG is strong in UD. About 30% of females usually fall on the OG side. But I'm happy to say most of traditional problems with this genetics have disappeared when everything was mixed by lem and then filtered through Italian soil. Stems are strong and their mould resistance is good too. The structure pretty much resembles the original though as well as terpenes. When you get this chemical lemon smell in flowering you know what you got.

Cool. I really like the flavor and bulk of 707 headband, but the plant is so floppy. I'll keep an eye out for the lemon smell.

Right now, everything in flower is either lemon or lime, but each one is different. The Bangi Haze I cut this morning was giving off this astringent key lime scent. I could have sat there smelling it all morning. And this is why we always make backups. I didn't clone either of the Bangi I'm running in an attempt to keep plant count manageable. Hopefully I can find the pheno again. I got a 10 pack, so 8 left.
