Ding, Ding, Ding. We Have A Winner.

Your 100% correct Vet. I originally put feed, feed, feed, water then second guessed my original post and edited it to feed, flush, feed, water so no prizes for me

Good to see you around again Vet. Hope all is good..

Peace.
Thanks mate. Good to see you're still here too. I've just started a couple of hempy autos alongside my soil plants so it's cool to see what you're doing here. I've gone pure perlite.

Yea I'll be around for a while bud, I only grow once or twice per year so when I'm not growing im just not actively posting much but I'm always lurking in the background here and there on the forum.

Last time we spoke it was during my first grow, I done exactly the same as I'm doing now only things went much smoother lol

I'll need to follow your hempy grow, I remember you saying it was a micro grow you did before, are you using the same space or have you upscaled since then ?

I tried perlite on my last grow but things never went as well as expected due to an unexpected electrical inspection on the house. Took weeks to do the loft conversion and build a diy reciculating self feeding system that had to get stripped down before the plants had a chance to be transplanted so it put a spanner in the works.

How you finding the hempy with perlite ?
I have northern lights autos there that I want to grow maybe 3 or 4 weeks after these plants are done if they make it that far and after speaking with bluter I'm going to go with traditional hempy like yourself using 5L buckets with perlite, here's hoping things will go a lot more smoother on the next lot of plants.

Yeah I'd upscaled a fair bit to a 2x2 and 2x4 tent before we moved at the end of last year. Now I'm back down to a single 2x3 tent. Hopefully get the 2x4 up for the 2nd half of the year. Decided to only do 2 grows a year now as well.

2x4 was what I started on then moved to the 4x4 mid grow due to the size the plants got, after the loft conversion was taken down prematurely I moved onto a 4x8 but I think the 4x4 is where I want to keep my grow, its more than enough space for what I need, doesn't take up half the room and can fit 3 - 4 reasonably large plants in it, more if they're smaller plants.
2 grows is more than enough especially for personal consumption. Being truthful though i would like to do perpetual but being in the UK the cost of electric has went up considerably so its a no go for me, would just be too expensive with the cost of daily living as it is.

The cost is a big factor in my decision too. It's going to get silly soon isn't it.

@bluter

While your here. My 12% hydrogen peroxide came today in the post.
Should I flush the plants today or wait as they were given only water yesterday ?
Still waiting on the AN sensi calmag xtra coming in the post, it should have been here by now.

they are gonna need to be fed once to be safe. then flush and re-feed 24 - 48 hrs later. the bigger issue is going to remain ph. your nute line doesn't allow for direct control.

your issue is calmag related due to a ph issue caused by a res that is too big and nutes that won't stay in check and travel through the ph range.

this locks nutes out from the plant. the plant only gets to feed while the nutes are in that narrow range. then it has to deal with wet feet and uncomfy roots. would you be happy ?

I thought so. You'll be feeling the sting aswell then lol apparently the average annual energy bill will rise by something like 54% from 1st of April. Must be an April fools joke lol
Yeah I've no idea how I'll afford it. Think lots of us in the same boat and will end up with big debts to the energy companies. It's ridiculous. I don't get how people are expected to survive nowadays let alone live. I have a well paid job and still struggle each month.

amen. it's -32c here today. the gas company is dancing in the streets over it.

Not sure if they would be any good but the only other nutes I have are the canna aqua vega a&b and flores a&b but don't have any of the other nutrients/supplements that's supposed to be used with the vega/flores.
I bought the stuff for the last grow as it was meant to be recirculated until shit went south and had to dismantle the whole system.

I've read it can be used with hempy but that the stuff is highly concentrated due to it being used for re-circulating systems.

Other than that I'm kind of stuck with the AN nutrients I have.

Is there anything I can do that would make a difference. I don't mind feeding everyday and treating the grow as a regular coco grow.

True, a lot of people are going to struggle.
Soon we will all be working for nothing, money in one hand and straight out the other with the way things are going.

you don't have a nute line i actually like. have you got a link to the canna and flores nutes. they might be ok depending how complete they are.

all the nutes used in hempy are used in recirc systems. there's nothing special about those. most recirc specific nutes are weaker, not hotter. what they claim sounds like utter bull. dwc and rdwc run lower than any other media.

work your way through this one and just buy some smaller cheap buckets.

i'd recommend MC but i know you guys have a hard time getting it. it would simplify your life immensely. no one in the uk that has sourced it would ever give it up.

Hey bluter, any thoughts on using 12% H2O2 vs 3%?

i use 27 or 35%. you just dilute it more. i use 27 at 1 - 2ml / L. run the 12% at 2 - 4ml / L. that's for an aggressive flush. if i ran it constant i'd probably run it about half to 1/4 strength.

What's the MC nutes, I'm sure you've mentioned it before in a post on the forum
