MGD420 Grow Journal: Jan 2022

Wow, @MGD420 this is some grow.

Be careful not to let to many chef's in the kitchen.

Stay safe, and grow well my friend,
Tok..

Remember the best grow method is KIS - Keep It Simple
I was trying to replicate my first grow.

I hear you buddy. Too many chefs spoil the soup. Fortunately I know who the masterchefs are in this establishment.

You too Tokin, good to hear from you again. Hopefully you stick around until the end of the journey.

I'll be keeping it simple for the next grow.

I will be around or tag me if you have any questions.

I am not sure exactly what you are doing with your media,

My rambling below is for DWC Hydro, I apologizes, so you can't flush that way. But, you still need to flush occasionally to remove the old nutrients and start flesh. I think @Bill284 can set you straight on flushing coco. Thanks Bill.

Oh ya, I flush my DWC every two or three weeks too remove the old nutrients for the fresh nutrients.
There is about 3 gallons or so of solutions when I changes it.

. I normally flush with 2 gallons of water (RO) with 5 m/l of cal-mag p/g for about an hour or two with the air pump turned up and splashing. After I do this and replaces the nutrients the plant will respond positively for me.

I know you are using trap water and I will just leave it as, it is, what it is. One thing everyone failed to address is the tap water and how the nutrients responds when mix. I have friends that use tap water and have many of the same issues as yourself. Some have started using nutrients specifically made for hard water. I am not sure if there is such a thing for soft water.

I use a 100.00 dollars US; RO filter that attaches to one of my sink faucet. It makes 50 gallons of RO water a day, at 0 ppm's. If something like this interest you, I got mine off Amazon. Just a thought.

Stay safe, and grow well my friend, I will be around.

edit: Sorry used gallons for water about 1 to 1 1/2 m/l of cal-mag p/l should be fine and use around 7.5 to 8 lites .

When I gave them water a couple of days ago I used around 16L of pH water for 3 plants, let them sit for a bit and then drained them done the same again until the water run clear.
The smallest stunted plant took a lot more water before it started to run clear, something I've noticed with the small plant was that the run off was always much darker compared to the other two.

I know with the AN pH perfect nutrients it's recommended for RO. If I thought it was going to cause as many problems as it has I would have bought a filter by now but last time I grew my plants this way I had almost no issues whatsoever so didn't think it would have been necessary. We live and learn though.

Money's tight at the moment but I'll look into buying an RO filter when I have the extra cash to spare.

Thanks again for you time and reply.

Peace

Just a few pics of the plants to show how they're looking now. Not the prettiest considering what they've been through. The smallest one is now starting to show signs of new growth and appears to have grown slightly over the past couple of days.

Your ladies look excellent @MGD420 .

Just out of curiosity have you checked for visitors lately?
The third plant caught my attention.

You may also want to remove those large fan leaves on the bottom of the 2nd one and maybe the others. That way we can see the whole plant away from the forest.

Yes I checked them the other day after 2 or 3 members mentioned bugs. Checked the plants and searched the entire tent and couldn't see anything. Most of the holes, marks on the plants are old. I also treated the plants 3 or 4 times with cannacure.

Can do that no problem. I'll remove the leaves now and post some pics of them

can you get us a light off pic so we can get a read on the colour ?

it's looking way better but there could be a general hunger. hard to tell under the kevin that pic was taken.

edit : you're either hungry or great. great would be better

It is fine; they will grow back in a couple of days.
With Indica dominant strains, they tend to be very bushy.

How stunted would you say it was ? Compared to the other two it's pretty small.
The plants are literally on their 5th week now.
I think they're actually just starting ro go into flower, I noticed a couple of pistils on one or two of them
