MGD420 Grow Journal: Jan 2022

This is the link to their website for their aqua

i think they're selling a bill of goods.

their light feeding chart is the same as most nute lines normal ones judging by the ec. that's the chart i would use if you use those nutes in hempy.

the cannazym and rhizotonic are unnecessary. they look like they are trying to pass the nute line off as "organic" they aren't.

it does look like it would need a hand in flower. a good nute should be able to get you home without additives or amendments to get a decent yield. a nute that requires it is poor in my opinion.

mega crop.

it's one nute front to back for the whole grow. you mix it yourself. super cheap to run. my pops charted our costs on the last grow. for 8 plants he says i spent a little under 4 dollars or about 50 cents a plant.

Would I be better just sticking with the AN nutes for now then and using them until this grow is done.

Thats the one. You have mentioned it to me before. I'm sure it's available here in the UK.
I remember you saying a bag will last for a long time and when I looked it up the price was much less than I've been paying for the canna and AN nutrients.

i don't think you'll be able to keep ph in check with the AN. if you had a regular AN line then no problem. ph perfect is just too unstable.

Watch out for MC when deep into flower though. It's very high in potassium and calcium, so as you bump up the nutes in flower you can see lockouts and K burn on your leaves. It tends to need some balancing with other elements to keep your leaves green through harvest.

i'd run either the AN or the canna/flores just to get rid of them. i've still got $300 worth of AN nutes i'm probably just gonna throw away or give to someone.

it's really not that tough. most of the trouble is folk who don't have a good read on the plant and push a bit too hard.

Or those who don't mind crispy leaves!

if you drop it back a hair and run a little calmag it works out fine. if you have clean tap in the 100ish ppm range you probably won't even need to do that.

some plants can benefit from a little more Si than MC carries. but again, only some. most will do fine with what's provided.

i made head room and ran a tiny amount of bud explosion and calmag in flower. probably increased yield by 30%, and it was good previous. so you can improve on it, but the gains may not be huge.

MC would work miles better with your water too.

It appears its not available in the UK. I'm almost positive last time you mentioned it I had a look online and I was able to buy it from some gardening store in the UK. There is someone selling it on ebay but it's something like a 9kg bag and they want around £136 for it.
I'm sure the website I seen it was

Green leaf nutrients

But I don't think they're shipping to the UK now

I'll keep using the AN for now then and try use it up until my next grow and will look for something that's more suitable.

the 9kg bag is good for 5 -6 yrs worth of avg 4 - 6 plant grows. maybe 20 grows or more.
the AN costs about that for 3 grows total.

it.

green leaf is the parent company. amazon uk was selling piles of it last yr. green leaf has a dedicated uk portal as well.

I would agree that its much better price wise compared to what I paid for the AN nutes that will last me 2 or 3 grows. I would rather buy a small bag of MC though that would last a few grows as apposed to 9kg.

There was something on their website about not having UK stock at the moment and nowhere other than 1 seller on ebay thats selling 9kg bags stock it.

it's like that here too. you either wait forever or buy a lifetime supply. i'll probably move to another nute yrs before i'll be out of MC. i let my parents use it for the garden and i built a big outdoor hydro garden for them.

full

edit : they can pull two harvests from that in a decent yr. and we have a super short outdoor growing season. my mom always overplants it though. this yr i'm refreshing the top third of the media and using the rest to fill some new garden beds.

I'll keep checking greenleafnutrients website to see if it becomes available if not I'll more than likely bite the bullet and buy a 9kg bag.
It might cost more up front but over time will cost me less anyway.

The garden you built looks great. Nice and clean and well kept.
