Lime. Only thing that counter acts it
He said in fields that were salted in the old old as days. They used lime to counter act the salt to get oh level back to normal in the soil. But using it was stopped cause it was toxicity levels were to much for epa and killed and lowered the crops

yeah as i stated previous a flush and reset is the recommended action.

a flush in hempy is different from a soil flush. i would do it as a flood and drain with h2o2 and the hole blocked. let it sit for 20 to 45 min then drain.

i feed in a similar fashion as well.

part of what i feel is problematic is the size of the res. you have to run far too much through to keep that res healthy at feedings. plus it can't get a dry cycle. that leads direct to ph and root issues.

he's in hydroton and coco. and there's there's no net pot. trimming the roots would be extremely difficult to fatal. you can do it in perlite in this style of grow but that's it.

I've no h202, any other way ? Water pH'd to 5.8 ? Would that do ?
After a flush how would a reset work ?

Would it be more beneficial to drain the res completely and just drill holes in the bottom.of the bucket and treat it more like a normal coco grow ?

I told him ur weren't using soil. He asked why use it then.. just making a problem u can control with water. Only reason they used it back in old days were that the soil had no pH level and they had to use lime to lower it and it was so hard to do they gave up the techniques to prefect it.. most time ruined the farm land pH level got so high or low they couldnt grow crops

ph water alone won't correct any root issues. h2o2 clears the root zone of dead and dying material, and provides an 02 boost

Is Shogun Zenzym any good for that sort of thing ? I have a bottle of that there.

This is the description

SHOGUN Zenzym is a unique blend of enzymes that keeps your root zone thriving. By rapidly breaking down microscopic dead root mass, SHOGUN Zenzym keeps your rootzone clean and releases locked up nutrients from dead matter back to the plant. This stimulates further root growth and enhances nutrient uptake dramatically, leading to an overall increase in plant performance and yield. Designed to be used throughout both the vegetative and flowering stages

I wouldn't give anything to plant at this point bro. Anything else. Just make plant lock up and if it locked up just going to die . Anymore chemicals just going make things worse fyi

I understand that. I was meaning for flushing. Bluter mentioned using h202 as pH water wouldn't be sufficient alone.
I have the zenzym but again I do not know if its of any use for flushing hence why I would rather ask.

it's hydrogen peroxide. you probably have it in your medicine cabinet. if not it's at the nearest pharmacy. it'll be about 3% strength. good for about a gallon of water. i actually run it stronger. but start there.

re-feed with the correct balance of nutes.

if you use AN you should do a periodic flush as part of the regular schedule. and you should run ffw or fffw with any amendments on the water side.

i can't answer that. you'll wind up feeding once to multiple times per day if you do.

Long as u flush and get it off the roots first. Then if u see roots browning or anything wrong with them cut them off . Like infections. Get rid of it.. leaves and all. Plants going to try to live itself. Doesn't need help. Just needs water. It going take few days but flush and flush maybe it can push the bad sht out. . U can cut roots to premote roots growth . And such. But cut to much and plant will go into shock and die anyway. . Not much u can do but flush and keep flushing few days. U having hydroponic I pretty much stuck adding chemicals to keep it alive I suggest if u want save them get soil. For just that one or two plants until u get it back healthy. Cause few days with out other chemical it's just go down faster and die. One bad thing about hydroponic . Can't stop feeding like u can soil. And not worruly ofnit giving to much not enough of hurting the plant more.

you only need one good flush in hempy. it's not soil. mutliple flushes will only starve and kill the plant.

Agree with that, one bad things with hydroponics. Can't flush to much not neglect other chemicals. Just tricky with hurt plant not let it lock up

he's been running AN which requires a periodic water side and occasional flush. i'm pretty sure he's been running ffff with no water side or flush. it was only a matter of time.

God haven't seen that ffff symbol since I went back to college in 2012 for clean energy technologies. We used hydroponic units feed the plants with fish crap.

What's ffw and fffw
I forgot all the nacronims in plants. Ut got to do with hydroponics with plants size feeding chemical and . I forgot all that. I hated hydroponic in college and I went to learn all that in 2012 at 42 years old.. never really cared about hydroponics. Seem complicated to much

It's slowly coming back to my brain. There so much in that crap to know and learn, I never tried doing hydroponics since. We did it to learn how energy is created with plants to needed and all mircrobes and sht. All because I wanted to work on space sht.. learning environmental systems produce oxygen and food . And we had to know hydroponics cause that's what they use on space station to live
