Medscientist's Outdoor Lab 2024

Thanks g-one-three! ❤️

Did you do the Fastbuds outdoors?
Which journal is it in?
I did the FastBuds indoors, it's the Scrog'ing Mothers one in my signature. I should finish that off with bud pictures and a smoke review lol thanks for reminding me haha.

I did a simple test run of a Seedsman fast flower Purple Punch outdoors this year, soil with Mega Crop nutes, and it finished Sept 28th. It ended up with bud rot after a week of rain storms right at harvest but that's my fault not taking it down before the rain started.

I ❤️ the timing on that! That's what I am looking for!

Just to see if we are comparing apples to apples, what time zone are you in?

I think I saw we might be neighbors lol buckeye state here. Unless you are up in the U P we probably have similar weather.

Today is 28 days of 12/12 for my SideChick. I usually defoliate after the stretch, but decided to try something different this time.

I decided to see if I can notice the difference it makes by removing the larger fan leaves on half the plant.

I divided the 2 sides with the bamboo stick and defoliated the right side as shown in the 1st pic

Did I read that the side chick is a sour diesel or is it time to lay off my stash? Lol I got to the end and couldn't remember 🤣. She looks great whatever she is hahaha.

Too Funny! 😂

I went back thru my posts, and I don't think I ever said!

My SideChick & Outdoor tent Girlz, this year and last was from Project Z bag seeds. Not sure who the pollen donor was, but they have been consistent and No Hermies! And just a Pleasure to have around! ☺️ ❤️

I think I want to grow whatever you are Smoking tonight! WooHoo! Clue me in!

So I have been listening to everyone talk about VPD and finally got curious, so I measured my leaf temp, then plugged the numbers into the calculator, then played around with the values to see what could improve my VPD.

Apparently, I could benefit from raising my leaf temp so I lowered my light to 15 inches to the lower middle section, and about 12 inches to the taller outside buds, @75%. I realized I could have just redirected the clip fan blowing heat upwards from the canopy top. But now I am curious how they will respond to the light. Then I might reposition the fan.

Lol well it was part of a test run I did in a 1 gallon pot to try out a new organic feeding schedule. It's was very successful, about 42 grams per 1 gallon pot under a 100w light. I'm actually using that feeding schedule for my current grow. The strain is Lemonchello Haze by seedsman. It's the closest tasting/smelling thing I've found to Ohio Lemon G, which was my favorite strain growing up.

The site says it has UK Cheese lineage. Which reminds me of the time I grew it. I had one UKCheese and 5 other plants. The Cheese attracted ALL the mites. With only a trace on the other plants. I tossed it and treated the others. Kinda paranoid about growing any Cheesy strains!

But I ❤️ the taste!

Interesting look at defoliating at this time!

I'm not sure fan air will actually move leaf temps. The ones directly up in the light anyway. How did that go?

Thanks StoneOtter! ❤️

Not sure the results yet. I did check earlier today and I didn't see much of a difference, so I lowered the fan below the plant.

I think the Real numbers will be @ 10 hrs after lights on? I may also need to close some vents to bring the ambient heat up?

Right now I have the fan/filter outside the tent to filter smell, and I don't notice any smell outside the storage room (8x8x8ft) the tent is in. Pretty sure I need to hook up the 6" fan/filter as they mature! ❤️

Ohio here too!! 😎✌️
Finally can come out of the shadows a little lol. I will forever be on a hunt for those elusive Ohio strains I grew up smoking lol Dumpster, Lemon G and Deathstar.

Ooooh! DeathStar! ❤️

I ran DeathStar for a couple years and Loved it!

The Outdoor Tent is still there! I am seeing more cloudy trichomes. We are supposed to have 3 days of warmer weather, so Wednesday may be chop day. Then the weather is back to cold for a week, then possibly warm again? IDK?

I will try to hold off, but Who knows? As long as I am not fighting mold/mildew, could be a Thanksgiving harvest!
