Sorry about the rot and let's hope it ends right there! Great structure on the side chick too. 
I went for a cheap no name 2x4 in 2019 and it's still doing great. Of course I'm not unzipping and zipping it up twice a day 365 days a year but it's still survived well, including dragging it around the house depending on what room was available.
