Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I would go with the 700w based on your height. But 400 would be more than enough too. You can use this webvsitw to get an idea Proper Distance of Full Spectrum LED Grow Lights | Dorm Grow they are not topled lights but they give the same recommendations as the cars supplied with top led lights.

I have 2.5m and my lights are actually too powerful, I should have got the 900w but you live and learn,
My plants actually only have about 70cm of vertical growing space until they will be too close to the lights

Have you thought about scrogging your plants? this might help with your height issues somewhat. :)

80-90 But I wouldnt go below 80 because with a sealed room and C02 being high at 1200-1500 ppm it changes everything puhsing plants into overdrive. they consume more energy, nutes, C02 you name it. My ideal temp is at 85 with a fluxuation of 5 degrees hotter or cooler.
That is my recommendation for a sealed room. Also I am not sure if I mentioned this but your Humidity temps need to be higher. Most people suggest about average 40% humidity for typical grow. But with a sealed room everything increases so your humidity should be atleast 50%- to as high as 70% but you must have high c02 levels(1500ppm) if you going to have humidity between 60-70%.

Now what I do is I us a $300 hand held UV light that I wave over all my plants 1-3 times a weak in slow steady sweeping motions. This takes care of possible mold issues and pest issues. you could even do this daily. I also add a little burst of 03(ozone in my room on a timer twice a day which also helps control mold and pests. But if using ozone please make sure you use the appropriate levels for the size of your room. Ozone helps reduce the smell as well.
making dinner while typing this hopefully I made my points accurately as I am a bit distracted right now.
happy growing!

Another great thing about a sealed room is the clean-up after each harvest can be done by an extreme over dose purge of c02(10,000ppm)
This is incredibly dangerous but blasting the room will vertually kill all things( except maybe cockroaches..lol those dame things survive nuclear blast probably...lol)

If you nee dto find out how to regulate your c02 to achieve 10,000ppm for the size of your room their are charts online. then after c02 is pumped into room seal the room back up and lt it sit for a few hours. then ventialte ...ventilate..ventilate adn your room will be sterile.

You just took a load of my mind.....thankyou

You may want to look into that. with LED the goal is to get as close to plants as possible without causing stress or harm.
basically you start off farther away during seedling/cloning then you get closer during veg/grow, then closer during first half period of bloom/flower stage then even closer during alst half of final flower/bloom stage.

From what I noticed if if the light is not producing enough food for what the plant needs during flowering(aside from normal flower/bloom stretching) the plants will keep trying to grow closer to the light. but if you keep bringing the light closer to them as you go through the stages of growth you will have more of a thicker bushy plant versus lengthy stretch out plant. I prefer thick packed bush buds as my preference.

Being a business owner I can not show my own person pics...sorry.

Remember every thing you do has a cause and effect!

Another consideration that people dont realize is if your light is intelligent and has different settings( clonning/veg/flowering ) then instead of havinf different distances from the canopy you can relatively maintain the same distance away from the plant the entire grow while simply switching the channel on the light through the different stages. not sure if that made sense... an example would be 6-18" distance maintained at all timess through every stage utilizing the inteligent switch on the LED.

I have one grow where I maintain 12" from begining to end. I tunr on clone /seedling setting on my lught then as plant grows. I keep adjusting the light to maintain same distance while flipping the switch from clone to veggie to bloom to final flowering which is 100% running all lights on the LED.

IM typing this on the go so If I need to explain any of it more thoroughly feel free to let me know.

Tomorrow is wednesday the day my light should arrive by! I finally got a shipping confirmation(NOW I CAN STOP CRYING), and that is a big weight off my shoulders! container in customs, warehouse in la, my package says from san francisco but hey at least it says processing!!!! and I have renewed faith(thank you george micheal)! and besides you can ship anywhere within california in 3 days or less. I hope everyone else starts getting these confirmations if you havent already. I'm so ready to put my HID in reserve pile. ENJOI

Passive cooling should be plenty for these lights. Just because you are running t5's and LED's does NOT mean you are exempt from proper ventilation. I would run atleast 80cfms exhaust per Mars II 1200 watters. The exhaust needs to go to another space...or bang a mini-split and run the room at 73-74 for a LOT LESS worries and troubles to deal with.

So far the plants are LOVING the 400w mars II in a 3x5 tent. The lamp is mounted all the way up. Average temps are 75-78f. Passive cooling with a 80cfm computer fan and a clip-on fan.

I will be hanging the 1200w beast soon.

Yes almost the company not working here until 7th, and really crazy here have 500 000 000 people on the way back them hometown. on
Welcome back sara, the factory I work with in china is still going to be closed for 9 days!

yes our ebay price higher because the ebay Final Vanue Fee we are the same company but the reflector have some one copy ours on ebay lol
Hehehhe I did the Math on that too :) - Also - These are being sold on Ebay now too but at a slightly higher cost: If they are in fact the same product.

Yes the lights arrived at USA port waiting for custom release i think will be ready on 7th ~10th Feb. But if any one like can make your order now i really worry will be out of stock soon :thumb:
I ordered my lights last Tuesday and have yet to receive shipping confirmation either. However, I talked to Sara and it's my understanding that most of the lights are currently out of stock, but the new shipment will be arriving in New York today and will be at their warehouse later this week at which time they will be shipped out to awaiting orders.

if you still got the tracking please email me i will check for you do not worry:circle-of-love:
i never got a shipping confirmation on my light, it just showed up. the website says it is still processing

sorry about this almost our item out of stock now because the slow sea shipping but now the ship arrived the usa port just waiting for custom release, hope will be soon arrive our warehouse
I ordered the 144x3 Reflector Led from the website January 21st. Thinking just like you, it says in stock so it should be, but that's obviously not the case. If you go back a few pages on this thread to where the posts date January 23, Sara lists the lights that went out of stock and talks about when the new shipment will be arriving. I also PM'd her last Thursday and she personally told me they were out of stock and would not be shipped until next weekend. Unfortunately I don't think any shipments will be going out until after the February 1st due to her absence and the low stock.

Yes if some one have coupon please email me i will help you:circle-of-love:

Yeah I wouldn't be able to grow a decent plant without a scrog. I should be fine, just won't be able to veg for as long I'd like,

I hope so man.....i think you said you had 70cm? That is pretty tight. I'm looking at about 110-120cm so hopefully with a scrog i'll have no problems, but it's still something i've been worried about. I just didn't want to spend the $500 for a 5x5 Gorilla tent with the extra height.....it's literally double the price of my 5x5 tent which is a really good quality one!

Anyway, good luck! :)
