Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

Im happy for your vacation. On another note your website says in stock So i ordered....i should not have to read a 100 page forum to find out if they're in stock! I ordered my lights January 25 from a warehouse in LA, i live in HB... that's not more than three days to ship....and that's being nice, hell it's only 60 miles from house.

my light is not on that list, but im sorry i don't have that much faith in that. shipping feb 7 - 10 I GUESS????? Well if my lights ain't here by Wednesday jan 29th, then i would appreciate a refund. If wanna give me a light for free then i would wait till whenever.....but if I'm paying for it then i want it in a timely matter.

And if you get your order cancelled, what then? Buy someone else's light (which obviously wasn't tops on your list) and wait even longer?

(Disclaimer: I do the same thing. I invariably opt for teaching someone a lesson over getting what I need when I need it... :smoke2: )

Actually i was gonna buy the hans panel, but couldn't wait for the nine day ship time. So i bought this cause it was at local warehouse. If thats not the case I'll end up waiting longer then if i would've if i would of just ordered the hans. Its business, nothing personal. Top led lights look like they rock out dank bud, but i need before feb 7- 10 i guess lol . This light is not my top choice. Its best price point

You're the victim of unfortunate coincidences: U.S. Customs holding up a shipping container, and Chinese New Year. You must consult the I Ching before leaving the house now.

I am having zero heat issues with my Mars2 1200 in a 4 X 4 tent. Have an exhaust fan on variable speed temp based controller.

I admit it is winter, but I barely have window open a 1/4 ". Plus I have 2 other grow tents and a 4 bulb 4 foot T5 running in same room. Rarely gets above 80, which kicks the exhaust fan into high gear.

Chinese Holiday is from 25th-7th of February. Shipping is not available during these times.
Topledgrolights does claim they have lights int he U.S. however I ordered 3 different lights a few weeks ago all within the same week and they all came from china which took longer to receive then I was expecting only because they said they were going to ship from the U.S. and didn't.

Let us know if you get your lights soon as I am curious as to whether they really do have U.S. where house or not. Just for your Info I ordered a 180watt UFO, 900watt and 1000watt panel LED.

The 1,000 and 900 watt produced to much heat for my sealed 5x6 test grow room( I do not have ventilation for light because it is a sealed grow room and LED should not produce so much heat that you need to cool the room. after one day the temperature was 106.7 degrees with the 1,000watt at that high of heat levels I would have to construct some kind of air cooled housing for the LED lights similar to HID air cooled light housing. I didn't not care to go through the effort so I removed the light...like I said I purchased for research and to compare it to some standard classic economical LED's I am manufacturing.

You mentioned your getting a small 2 x 4 x 5 tent that and you will be using the 300watt(100x3w) LED light. I would say that gro room without ventilation will get up into the 90 degree range if not ventilated so make sure you have good ventilation.

All my grows are done in sealed rooms with CO2 regulated tanks. This allows for higher yields and with the CO2 levels between 1200-1500ppm. my temperature I average for my sealed co2 grow roo is between 85-88 degrees but not higher than 90. Having high CO2 levels allow for higher temperatures which is great because with a good LED light(s) you basically don't have to worry about venting or a/c if the temp levels do not exceed 85-90degrees. Plus you level less energy being used do to the fact your not running ventilation fans or inlinefan/carbon filter fans. I love sealed rooms because the smell is not so much an issue and when it is its much easier to handle in my opinion.
everyone grows differently..so have fun stick with the essentials and play around with the rest to tailor to your own grow style.

I have ventilation fans and ducting from my 1000w setups so was gonna run the carbon filter with 425 cfm fan for out take and a 6" booster fan for intake.. Hoping this would be more than enough to keep temps down, really didnt think leds would take a room to 106+ degrees, wow thats hot!! My tent will arrive tomorrow and still waiting for shipping info on the light.. Sara can u tell me if the old model 100x3w will be shipping from the US? I placed an order on Friday, I have actually already emailed you too, please let me know.

Crawdaddy . how far are you keeping the 1200 from the top of the plants in flowering ?

I'd like to l know the same thing, but for the entire grow....how far above the seedlings, in veg and in flower? If you can use these lights all the way through a guide to the heights at different stages would be super helpful :)

as of now I have my light about 6.5 feet above ground and I am letting seedlings/clones grow up to it. Pots are about 12" so they start 5.5 feet from light. I have about another foot I can raise it in my tent, depending on how tall plants get for flower may end up raising it. Have not flowered with the Mars2 yet.

However with my Top LED COB light, I am starting to notice that they do not seem to like it much if get within 3 feet. Not instantly but takes about 2-3 weeks and start to see what I think is the plant stressing on light. But it could just be some minor nute defeciency I am missing. But the Buds seem to be filling out very nicely even that far below light. I will try and post some pics of what I am talking about tonight in my journal.

But overall from what I am seeing personally and others on this forum, the best way seems to be to mount the LED high as you can and let plants grow to it. Like anything though with regards to growing, many different ways to do it 'right'

Lots of people use sealed rooms, go look up drdank for some of the best examples I know of.

Will do.

Apparently the forum search engine is too f'ing complicated for me to figure out. I searched for "dRDank" with "grow" and got zero results. Searching with just "dRDank" brings up the advanced search nag page. Anything more specific I can use?

I just use google and add 420mag at the end and it helps out better then search engine here.

Thanks for posting that, would have been easier for him I just did that, didn't think of it:/

Above temps I am refering to are for ventilated grow rooms. Sealed grow rooms with added CO2 can run higher temps in fact it is recommended to run higher temps.

Good info: Setting up new room from scratch so this helps a great deal. What is the proffered "Canopy" Temp if co2 is added?

can I ask what size room you have, I m looking to get a dr120. 2mtrs height. not sure which light to go for now you have said that .

I would go with the 700w based on your height. But 400 would be more than enough too. You can use this webvsitw to get an idea Proper Distance of Full Spectrum LED Grow Lights | Dorm Grow they are not topled lights but they give the same recommendations as the cars supplied with top led lights.

I have 2.5m and my lights are actually too powerful, I should have got the 900w but you live and learn,
My plants actually only have about 70cm of vertical growing space until they will be too close to the lights
