Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

You know though I have also seen the lights available from resellers on ebay, all promising the same 3 years warranty for just few bucks more and shipping out close by, but I wanted to go with this Sara here, cant wait till she comes back from holiday, she is really great, working hard to produce some quality led lights for a fraction of the cost, it's awesome! This thread is quite amazing, good job Sara :)

sorry just got home, all the item will ship out except the out of stock item.
I have yet to receive any shipping info either. Sara specifically said that even know they will be on holiday, the warehouses will continue to ship out. Also said no custom lights in Dec or Jan as they will be focusing on just building stock led. I agree when they say in stock they should be in stock. Hoping i get a shipping email today or tomorrow.

Welcome back sara, the factory I work with in china is still going to be closed for 9 days!

Hi Alex, I ordered 3 different sizes from topledgrowlight for research. They tend to run Hotter than expected producing a lot more heat than the higher end LED lights. So just make sure your watch out for heat. When LED's produce to much heat the lights need to be a bit farther away from canopy so that you don't burn your tops and/or cause unwanted stress. As for the performance of the lights they seem to be working fine aside of the heat.

From what I have found in my experience is with heat in a grow room is that you have two factors to consider. First the temperature of the air in the entire room.Second the temperature of the top of the canopy(as this temperature will be a bit higher as it is directly under the light.

I see people talk about the best temperature but forget to mention what the best temperature is for the canopy of the plant. The reason I mention this is I have found my room temperature can be 75 degrees but the temperature directly under the light(literally against the panel under the led light) is hotter. A good canopy temp is 80-82 in my opinion with the Ambient room temperature around 75 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

So the closer you can get your light hung near the canopy while staying within a good canopy temp the better and more effective that light will be for your grow.
Above temps I am refering to are for ventilated grow rooms. Sealed grow rooms with added CO2 can run higher temps in fact it is recommended to run higher temps.

Chinese Holiday is from 25th-7th of February. Shipping is not available during these times.
Topledgrolights does claim they have lights int he U.S. however I ordered 3 different lights a few weeks ago all within the same week and they all came from china which took longer to receive then I was expecting only because they said they were going to ship from the U.S. and didn't.

Let us know if you get your lights soon as I am curious as to whether they really do have U.S. where house or not. Just for your Info I ordered a 180watt UFO, 900watt and 1000watt panel LED.

The 1,000 and 900 watt produced to much heat for my sealed 5x6 test grow room( I do not have ventilation for light because it is a sealed grow room and LED should not produce so much heat that you need to cool the room. after one day the temperature was 106.7 degrees with the 1,000watt at that high of heat levels I would have to construct some kind of air cooled housing for the LED lights similar to HID air cooled light housing. I didn't not care to go through the effort so I removed the light...like I said I purchased for research and to compare it to some standard classic economical LED's I am manufacturing.

You mentioned your getting a small 2 x 4 x 5 tent that and you will be using the 300watt(100x3w) LED light. I would say that gro room without ventilation will get up into the 90 degree range if not ventilated so make sure you have good ventilation.

All my grows are done in sealed rooms with CO2 regulated tanks. This allows for higher yields and with the CO2 levels between 1200-1500ppm. my temperature I average for my sealed co2 grow roo is between 85-88 degrees but not higher than 90. Having high CO2 levels allow for higher temperatures which is great because with a good LED light(s) you basically don't have to worry about venting or a/c if the temp levels do not exceed 85-90degrees. Plus you level less energy being used do to the fact your not running ventilation fans or inlinefan/carbon filter fans. I love sealed rooms because the smell is not so much an issue and when it is its much easier to handle in my opinion.
everyone grows differently..so have fun stick with the essentials and play around with the rest to tailor to your own grow style.

There are a few things in this post that sound like you are "taking shots" at TopLed. Giving feedback whether its food or bad its not a problem, but the fact that you are in direct competition with TOPLED by selling your own brand of LED lights in don't think it's fair for you to comment on the lights of another company...especially on a thread created by TOPLED to promote their lights.

Also, I have the most powerful lights supplied by TOPLED (mars II 1200w) in a room that is too small for lights that size and still don't have heat issues.

Also which 1000w light sis you buy from TOPLED? As I could not find it on their website.

Have you taken the advice of others and offered your lights to growers as a sponser?

Do you spend much time in that sealed room? Do you have headaches?

I was not trying to Knock anyone. I was just giving my own fair honest remarks about units I purchased. Regardless of whether I have my own lights or not.
What I wrote I was writing about their older classic panel models.
Old Model LED Grow Light - Led Grow Lights

I must have misunderstood you when you said You purchased a 300watt classic version. I do not have anything to say about the Mars II series as I have not personally tried them. Let me know how that one goes.

I do not spend much time int he grow room space. I have everything automated using my Evo Grobot. I check in one time a day for a few minutes to make sure I do not see any deficiencies or problems and if I see anything I simply adjust everything through my evo grobot through my Laptop.

Interesting. Haven't heard of anyone else doing a grow in a sealed room. Be sure people know about the danger of being in a sealed room full of CO2, though.

Im happy for your vacation. On another note your website says in stock So i ordered....i should not have to read a 100 page forum to find out if they're in stock! If wanna give me a light for free then i would wait till whenever.....but if I'm paying for it then i want it in a timely matter.
