Gonna wait for Sara to get back to me as I don't want to do anything that will damage my warrenty, I have heard dimmer controllers can damage the lights so i will wait to hear from Sara directly I think.
I have currently solving the issue by raising the lights as close to ceiling as possible and installing a scrog. That way I can allow my plants about just under 3 feet of growing space until the get to close to the lights.
2ft =700 3ft=900 4ft =1200 approxWhat the recommended distance between plants and light for led mars 2's? I have a 700 and want to add a 900 or 1200 but I only have 6' to work with?
Maybe you could hang a screen beneath the light to diffuse it (and thereby dim it). You could try a sheet of window screen to see how that does, and go from there.
This is an option but I couldn't find much info on the kind of screen to use. When my babies get big they will be about 3.5 ft from the light (possibly closer without good control) so a screen might have to be used if I some want to burn them.
So I guess you can have too much light .
Any suggestions on dimmer screens anyone?
Hi everyone, been browsing for nearly 2 years now, figured after ordered my topled light I'd join so I can put my 2 cents in.. And ask ??.. I ordered a 100x3w of the older model lights from topledgrowlight.. Can any of you comment on that light? I purchased it for a veg/auto tent 4x2x5' space, 1-2 maybe 3-4 plants tops in that space. I have grown with cfl and mh/hps, have 2 sets 1000w mh hps digital systems I can no longer use use due to my space restriction now, even turned down 50% the heat is much too much, I'm selling those lights and gonna buy some of the newer led models offered but hoping until then then the 300w older model will do the trick, I plan to also add some cfl/t5 lighting with the 300w led in the 4x2 tent, any comments?
Hello Alex.. the Draw Power:150~170W.. all i can tell you is, a good buddy of mine just pull 5 ounces of solid nugs from 6 plants on an nft. . using 180 wats , not the topled another company. but they are 3 watts.. before he was using a 600 watt hps and was getting about 8 ounces from 6 plants, of northern lights... he did get more when he had pure power plant seeds though... hope this helps?

if you are growing autos... look out for think different.. seems the be a good auto that loves LEDsYes thank you, that's is def good to hear, I was able to do that at one time with the mh/hps, had my space of 7'x9' and 2000w, very nice grows with that setup, the smoke always lasted well long enough even with sharing ample amounts with friends. ?

Yes thank you, that's is def good to hear, I was able to do that at one time with the mh/hps, had my space of 7'x9' and 2000w, very nice grows with that setup, the smoke always lasted well long enough even with sharing ample amounts with friends. Then about 9 monthes or so ago I had to give up that space to setup a washer and dryer Not long after I had ran out of smoke and since have been stuck in small closet growing autos with cfl, i had tried to setup one of my cool tubes with ballast turned down 50%, 425cfm fan but the heat was ungodly still, the cfls have produced nice buds but the growth is slower and simply not harvesting enough for my taste so now am making the change to led grow tents, I have my 4x2x5 tent coming Thursday and hoping the led will ship ASAP, haven't got any shipping info as of yet but order was just made Friday. I will see how this setup does me then I plan to setup a 4x4 with either some of topleds MarsII 5w lights or the reflector series 3w lights, haven't made my mind up on that yet, I am still finishing the 125 pages of this topic as well as the grow logs of the members using the lights, lots of research and planning for the precious process of growing Mary Jane .. I had read in some of the last pages that they are not making shipments from china due to their holiday but topled states they have stock in the US, I am used to getting my shipping/tracking info usually by the next business day, my topled order states its processing, can anyone speak on the delivery times in the US? How soon/late was tracking info recieved?
I ordered directly from topleds website, had no problem getting the order paid threw PayPal, that was late Friday evening approx 10pm, I immediately recieved 2 order confirmation emails Friday night, have not heard nothing since and when I check my order at website it states its processing, it's now approx 11am Monday in my part of the world, hoping for shipment confirmation soon if not today hopefully tomorrow.
I ordered my lights last Tuesday and have yet to receive shipping confirmation either. However, I talked to Sara and it's my understanding that most of the lights are currently out of stock, but the new shipment will be arriving in New York today and will be at their warehouse later this week at which time they will be shipped out to awaiting orders.
