it actually only does C not F. i agree that that is a big oversite as alot of growers come from north america

I have been thinking on how to program each of your lights separately and I can't figure it out, lol. I'm sorry :)

I do know that each time you unplug the light , you will need to send info from the remote again, like memory 0 and send , or the light won't work right , trust me , made this mistake, light got to end of day , cycled down the light , but never turned off , pushed memory and send again and it works , but each time you unplug you need to do that , so how to send info to more than one light ?

haha i did the same thing, was making a vid testing out how to set timer and work with intensity and came home last night with all the lights off! haha it does take a little getting used to but once you get it the pros heavily outweigh the cons. and i do feel you with the remote taking the temp/humidity reading seems a bit counter productive
 
i have my panel set for veg right now with the red set at 15% and Blue/white set at 35% for the first hour to wake them up then go to 25% red 75% Blue/white for 16 hours with the last hour at 15% red 35% blue/white to put them back to sleep. i love the ability to change every 10 mins as it will lead to some awesome experiments in the future :circle-of-love:

Heat certainly is not an issue, not the way other lights are at least. I try to maintain 30 degrees C (86f), but the light (with one switch on) does not put off enough heat to raise the temp in the tent that high....even with all vents and ports closed. I ended up adding 2 CFL's controlled by a hydrofarm heat mat controller. Set it at 30C and it heats the tent with more light then shuts off when it hits 30, on at 28.

I like the light.

What I don't like is feeling like I was fed a line of BS so that Mars Hydro got another sale.

I asked specifically, Sara, here and in private messages about the security of the boxes. Are they going to be shipped in boxes that are labeled what they are? I was reassured that they no longer were shipping boxes with contents labeled on the outside.

Well? Was I frickin' LIED to?? Seriously, I am pissed off. I trusted the security of my operation to you, MARS HYDRO, and you FAILED.

I cannot order anything more from you. You apparently don't get it. Some of your customers have VERY nosy UPS, FedEx and Postal workers. This is a very serious breech of my security.

Really, really not cool. I almost refused shipment. I should have. Now I worry about the UPS guy. Great. Thanks.

What exactly does it say here? It says LED light. I have LED lights all over my house. In my kitchen, in the spot lights over my fireplace my outdoor spots hell even my flash lights are led. Led it a type of bulb. Should I be concerned that I have a case of CFL bulbs delivered from Home Depot? It has to have a marking on the box to get through customs. If it said GROW LIGHT then you have a real concern. Just my 2 cents. :peace:

Does the pro Epistar work without the remote , any manual on/ off switch. THat was the big plus for the #2 series, remember. Don't really need two on /off switches either . Maybe just an auto sunrise n sunset built in. KISS :kisstwo::kisstwo:

I would buy a pallet of these lights except for the funky remote thingee..
 
Ok I hooked up my (3)MarsPro Cree128 lights.
Guess what?
After about 3 hours they only raised the temperature in my sealed off Grow Room 7 degrees. Temp is setting at 86 degrees.
Not bad at all...

Maybe a very simple description on the box and visible customs info, like "Home Lamp" would ease the concern? Nothing suspicious about home lighting. :-)
 
You can buy led and HPS lights here in Florida right at Walmart, Home Depot and Lowes and they call them indoor growlights, unless they were marked for indoor Marijuana grow use illegal use only I wouldn't concern my self. Buy a cheap packet of flower seeds and bring fresh starts outdoors to plant and your neighbors will think that is your hobby, wearing sunglasses and peaking thru your curtains will only draw unwanted attention:)

it does work without the remote but it turns on at 100 and just stays on so you'll have to get a timer. i didt have batteries when i first got the light and it turned on and my Kill-a-Watt showed it was pulling 375 watts

I kind of agree, i dont want to down play anyones concerns and i think i may have been one of the ppl that told him it would show without any markings i just dont think ppl can read too much into LED light as my remote, laptop, headlights, tv, xbox and toothbrush all have LEDs in them lol but like i say if they are upset by it maybe mars hydro can do something to make it more discreet :peace:

That room keeps getting nicer with every post, looks like you have thought it out well. Very well planned and going to be a pleasure working in.
 
To me, discreet means just that. Inconspicuous. Plain.

My delivery man is not an idiot. He delivered two boxes that said TENT and two boxes with the packing info taped to them that you see. Duh.

Any of you can be as loose as you choose about your own security. I'm still here BECAUSE I run a pretty tight ship and I intend to continue that.

I believe in NEED TO KNOW. My delivery man did not NEED TO KNOW what was in those boxes.
