I live in a small town...everyone knows everyone. My UPS driver is good friends with my parents as well as connected to some other friends who I work with.
The LAST thing I would need is for her to go blabbing about delivering something suspicious to my home. It would flag me at work.
We all know what happens if that occurs.

They have got to generate some kind of generic tag that does not raise suspicions with those snoopy people in our mail systems!

I have actually had corners of Ebay boxes ripped open by the mail system to peek inside. Most recently the hanging ropes for my lights.

I just remembered my boxes of 27x27x63 tents actually said TENT on the box. Not enough info to discern if it was a camping tent or not. But as Canna pointed out, they have no problem tearing a corner or edge open to look inside.

I still have the boxes and could post a pic. But the are currently in use. I found that 7 1/2 gallon wide mouth jars fit perfectly in one box. They fit perfectly under a bed, lol.

You guys are concerned because it says "grow light" on the box? Seriously guys... people are growing hot peppers with grow lights, you know that? Maybe you're over-reacting here. I wouldn't consider grow lights as something "suspicious" at all. But then I don't know where you guys live.

I'm in total agreement, I order a Mars II 1200 about a year ago, I love the light, and would like to upgrade to one of the new stile COB lights, but security and stealth are of the up most importance to me.

And if someone drops a tip on a pepper grower, the pepper grower has nothing to worry about.

Like Canna I live in a small town, small county. A small county known for guerrilla grows. A small county with a sheriff that actively solicits info from carriers. I have a neighbor who would flip me for a pat on the back. By the end of Church the following Sunday the whole county would know.

All it takes is a curious driver with a smart phone.

I can't drive to the nearest city to get equipment like this because it simply isn't available.

I cannot afford to be lax about security.

What I expect is a package where you couldn't tell if it was a light, a game system or books. It's just another package.

And had I posted 1 week and 5 days ago, I certainly would have over reacted.
 
No apologies needed. I don't think you are overreacting. Cautious people stay in the game such as it is. You never know who is sneaky enough to wonder what led light means. "Hey neighbor saw you got some LED lights in. What's that for?" Or even worse, the neighbor that doesn't say anything but starts watching you or quietly tips the powers that be. Yeah these may seem like unlikely circumstances to some but why risk it? Marshydro can so easily remove all product information from the outside of the box and everyone benefits. It is such a simple thing to do.

Yeah, hopefully you can. :) We have Hydro stores popping up, with grow lights. Every time someone mentions "grow light" or "LED grow light", they reference MJ.
Maybe when people start using LED's commonly at home for growing normal house plants, this will become not so flaggy. But until then, we need to think "stealth".

I think there is enough concern about this to warrant at least making sure it doesn't say LED lamp or grow light. Something less noticeable like kitchenware or wine rack....;-)

I do love my Mars Hydro lamp though! Wish I had about ten more. LOL
 
BUMMER... Plugged in all (3) MarsPro Cree128 Led Lights... Guess what? One remote controls all of the lights at the same time... I would think that would not happen. Maybe I need one for seedlings or clones.
 
Oh that's a bummer. Even in the same room I sometimes like to vary the programs, sometimes I like to run supplemental lights for less time than the main ones.

I wonder if they have a setting to allow multiple remotes to be used, when my kids were younger they all had remote control cars and helicoptors and all controlled theirs separately.
 
Well, I came to this thread to ask how much it would be for (3) lights but I see that it will not be necessary since I do not wish to receive boxes that mentions (LED, LIGHTS, MARS HYDRO, ETC ETC) It's not difficult to do discreet shipping, seed banks can do it, why can't Mars? JUST DON'T PUT THE WORDS ON THE BOX!!! Or just put invoice in packing slip.
 
Uhmmm. Anyone know how to change remote settings from C degrees to F degrees. Read instructions and it doesn't tell you. I went to menu and set correctly the date and time.
 
There is no way to change that from c to f , I have the same remote, sucks I know ...

The temp and humidity shown on the remote , is from the remote, not the light unit , doesn't make much sense either.
 
Also you can make a whole days worth of settings, have the light change every 10 minutes , by 1% if you want and then put it on memory 0. I can show a video if need be :)

I have been thinking on how to program each of your lights separately and I can't figure it out, lol. I'm sorry :)

I do know that each time you unplug the light , you will need to send info from the remote again, like memory 0 and send , or the light won't work right , trust me , made this mistake, light got to end of day , cycled down the light , but never turned off , pushed memory and send again and it works , but each time you unplug you need to do that , so how to send info to more than one light ?

Try to give the MH people time to read the concerns and take action before making your decision.
Making them aware of the concern is the first step in resolving it.
They do have a great product.

I think they will react quickly once Sara sees this. They have made steps to remove the big logo and probably just didn't realize that the remaining stuff on the label was an issue. Now that they will know I am sure it will change. They are smart enough to be a sponsor here and will want to keep everyone happy. The issue resolutions I have seen from them have been examples of great customer service.

I will have to wait until 5 when everything turns on :) for video .

That's how I have mine set , sunrise and sunset, comes on with 1% blue/white for 10 minutes, then blue/white goes up a little and some red comes on little by little for the next hour then full brightness for 10 hours, goes the other way for sunset and ends with no blue/white , only red . All this is set to program/memory 0 and then push send , I found that you can change the settings for every 10 minutes is the lowest it would go and that I found no difference between 1% and 10% , the brightness seemed to change only at 10% settings, I'll check again . Hope this helps you :)

I wish it could be set for as low as a second to come on and that 1% was really that , would be cool to simulate moonlight/phase and maybe a lightning storm , just thinking out loud here , wow with your 3 it would be cool to simulate a storm with lightning that could flash around the room and your sunrise could start on one side , gradually turn each one on for a daytime and then fade out to the last light for sunset.

We wanted to buy 2 more of these pro 320 , but after having this one , I can see the changes that need made and once those are in place I hope to buy more . I can say they emit a better mixed spectrum and the buds are bigger under the light received from it . If it's not cooled somehow it will get hot , needs 2 more fans in the middle of the unit , I have cold air from outside blowing down into the vents of all my lights , makes them run about 20 degrees cooler , or cool to the touch all around , which equals longer life .
