I like that this light has bearly any heat coming out mygrow area is at 76 temp that a plus hope it will do the job during flower if not I add some cfls it seems my temps won't rise to bad I think the mars series is nice bright light my plants growing good haven't had roots hit the water yet so no feeding ill use half table spoon of techna boost and grow once I get my roots developed im taking the less nutrients advice thinking of buying a yo yo hanger cause the hanger it comes with makes light set side ways but I can deal with that well ill post more couple days see progress

Ok everyone i should be posting my new Mars Pro LED test grow by tommorow. sorry its taken so long but working a full time job and taking care of the plants can be a hand full.

I ave been du diligently following along on this amazing thread. I am thinking about the significance of the name Mars - Hydro.

THen it occurred to me that different spectrums may be better for dirt than for hydro, especially since dirt is slower but perhaps richer ( not in the spiritual sense but more in the aroma or undertones).

I want to be an authority but the more I read the less I realize I know. I see so many posts of folks seeking knowledge , wanting to become part of the wonderful journey yet hanging on it seems by a hempen thread.

So far this is what I have gleaned.

Keep it simple and reduce nutrients. Weeds grow best in wastelands.
Use Charcoal filters , not ozone.
Don't brag about my grows location or my abilities to grow, after all the weed may actually be the cultivator and I the cultivated.
RDWC only requires a small return line but more water is better 20 gallons is better than 5 ,like dirt, for bigger plants n root balls.
Living dirt and is an amazing journey which I have recently discovered here on 420 but RDWC is quicker like licker.

I decided to stay up and get the jounal going before i go to bed so i can get everthing going and i dont have to spend all my weekend taking pics, making vids, taking care of the plants and then spend all day editing and posting everything haha hope everyone can make if over and enjoys the grow!!! :Namaste:

OK, I've used the 400 for two weeks now.

I like the light. Same as everyone else I am getting nice tight node spacing. Plants seem to love it.

Heat certainly is not an issue, not the way other lights are at least. I try to maintain 30 degrees C (86f), but the light (with one switch on) does not put off enough heat to raise the temp in the tent that high....even with all vents and ports closed. I ended up adding 2 CFL's controlled by a hydrofarm heat mat controller. Set it at 30C and it heats the tent with more light then shuts off when it hits 30, on at 28.

I like the light.

What I don't like is feeling like I was fed a line of BS so that Mars Hydro got another sale.

I asked specifically, Sara, here and in private messages about the security of the boxes. Are they going to be shipped in boxes that are labeled what they are? I was reassured that they no longer were shipping boxes with contents labeled on the outside.

Well? Was I frickin' LIED to?? Seriously, I am pissed off. I trusted the security of my operation to you, MARS HYDRO, and you FAILED.

I cannot order anything more from you. You apparently don't get it. Some of your customers have VERY nosy UPS, FedEx and Postal workers. This is a very serious breech of my security.

Really, really not cool. I almost refused shipment. I should have. Now I worry about the UPS guy. Great. Thanks.
 
Hi Heirloom saw you over at Sue's. That is a bunch of crap. I ask this question a few weeks ago aswell and was asured that the boxes with the big MARS HyDRo on the side were done with. So now they are just listing the contents of the package on the boX. What the Hell. I am pissed with you. How dumb can they be!! I will never trust them agaian and you are not the first, i have heard this same issue. I was thinking of buying a tent a few weeks ago, thank god i dont need to buy one anymore but if i did I would not use Mars. I ama paranoid person as it is. Who needs this shit on top of it? By the way I am all for supporting a good sponsor but the sponsors must also support US!!!!

I had plans for purchasing an extra set of LEDs for this winters grow & Mars... was one of the candidates. Now I'm not so sure, actually that's not true, yes, I am entirely sure; If they don't make proper changes and prove it here, they are out. I can't risk them.
 
I agree, this needs to stop. All it takes is one nosy neighbor and a big issue is now at hand. Or if they delivered this to the neighbor instead. The neighbor comes knocking and says...we need to talk. Ugh that would be horrible. Or they plan to just come steal what you have when you are away. Stealth is of utmost importance!

For two weeks I've simmered on this, had time to cool off and not totally go off the deep end here. I had almost decided to let it go but thought of all the other members who it could affect. Then remembered that this was a recurring issue.

I really don't like calling people or sponsors out. Causing a ruckus isn't my style. But security is the most important thing for all of us....so....sorry MH, but you need to get it together.



If I were CEO, CFO or COO of Mars-Hydro I would halt shipments immediately and figure out a fast solution for the stock and orders on hand, then fix the problem where ever it starts and adjust operations down stream. Then I would personally post an apology to the community as well as the changes made, with pictures if possible.

I'm not asking for anything for myself. No refunds, no apology to me. Just fix it and prove it to the community.
 
I live in a small town...everyone knows everyone. My UPS driver is good friends with my parents as well as connected to some other friends who I work with.
The LAST thing I would need is for her to go blabbing about delivering something suspicious to my home. It would flag me at work.
We all know what happens if that occurs.

They have got to generate some kind of generic tag that does not raise suspicions with those snoopy people in our mail systems!

I have actually had corners of Ebay boxes ripped open by the mail system to peek inside. Most recently the hanging ropes for my lights.
