Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

We are supposed to accept change and embrace it,! I could change and enjoy two 1200s in 5x5s and grow two times the bud from my living room with no remote.

Hmmm. Let me think...

I could get two Mars II 1200 5x5 tent combos and have enough left over for two digital timers, two duct fans with filters for the price of the best Pro model including shipping.

What to do?

I really need that remote so I can put it in a drawer with all my other remotes.

:thumb: well said, LEDBud, when the grow fails, we need to take all into consideration no matter whether it's light problem or not. With lesson learnd, we will get better result next time.:hugs: This attitude will eventually help to achieve whatever result you want.:MoreNutes::MoreNutes::MoreNutes::MoreNutes:
Do not Look into the lights, It will Damage your eyes and stop trying to act like a spectrum analyzer , your not.
Sunglasses will not help you be one either. Its likely your eyes have been damaged already by looking into them.

Remember both Photos from different panels with their grow switch off exposed the *SAME* red spectrum.

Hard to believe in this Day of rip offs and false claims but you got a good set of lights !

If your not having great success with them look for other issues like soil health/over fertilizing , PH etc.

:thankyou: Sarah and MH :high-five:

:circle-of-love: in two years, it has changed a lot. More people become confident in LED technology. It's a trend. We are so glad to make this new tech affordable for more people. :hugs: To some degree, maybe promote the development and change, haha, it's really an honor.
Im still here sara... I must say, it has been awhile since i first found this thread... Watching the exploits of dennise and others, with the new fangled LED panels.... Proving the technology works, in its infancy.... So glad your products proved the doubters wrong...

:yahoo: morning Gnarl :yahoo: the light will not get burnt up with only bloom on. Don't worry about it.:hugs: In fact, Reflector is different from marsII. :geek:As you can notice, the gap between each led on Reflector is wider. Therefore, when only bloom is on, the panel has enough space to dissipate the heat well, no need for fan. The engineer has tested it. :;): Our new MarsII with switches will have fan working when only bloom is on, because of narrower gap between leds. This is how and why set up the switches like that. :cheesygrinsmiley: As for the widely acknowledged agreement for both switches on during bloom, it has reached a long time ago. :ganjamon: Temp is also an important factor during control. If the built-in fan will help to keep it down, it's better to run the light with both switches on, because the fan will work with veg on. ;);) Plus, full spectrum during flower is also useful. :hugs: but no need to worry about it. It will not cause the light to burn with only bloom on. :high-five: It's really good advice to tell the new customers about the feature in case they don't know it. :thumb:
Gnarl, which city you will go?:cheesygrinsmiley:
I agree that a veg selection serves it's purpose. Adding the red spectrum to veg also serves a purpose for flowering. My thought is there is no purpose to having a red only spectrum which runs without fans and could damage the light. Instead of having a bloom only switch that you advise people never to use simply take away that option to avoid confusion or a newbie risking burning up his /her light.

Make the choices veg only and flower (all LEDS on). Just do away with the bloom only switch. Keep it Simple.

I'm planning to visit China after November. Fire up your Wok. :)

Just a thought:

Outdoor grows beat indoor grow hands down, partially, because the plants get the visible and invisible spectrum of the sun.

All of the talk comparing LED to MH/HPS is like comparing an apple to an orange.

At the moment LED arrays primarily put out the invisible spectrum while MH/HPS primarily put out the visible spectrum.

I know plasma induction lighting is capable of producing the invisible and visible light spectrum.

I realize production of a LED array that puts out the invisible and visible light spectrum of the sun maybe a year or so into the future. However what would the cost of such an array be? Heck...what about a separate LED array that produces the visible light spectrum while having another array that produces the invisible spectrum?

:yahoo: haha, as I said before, I take this challenge. :winkyface:We have manual instruction for the remote control. It will help.:tokin::tokin:
So much confusion about a couple of switches ! I cant wait to read the posts of confusion on using the Pro remote.. Lol :high-five:

And . . I was going to ask Sara, are there going to be any plans to make an additional light like the new ones, WITHOUT all the bells and whistles and remotes and timers. Just a plain light like the Mars II but with the new LEDs in it? Or like the Sun Series?

Maybe call it the "Poor Mans New Light"

I would actually buy one of the new ones, if it was more like the Sun Series that didnt have all the new stuff stacked on it. I was just waiting until they went into regular production and there were more models of the Sun Series. I really liked that light :rip:

:thanks: thank for randy. you are happy :yahoo:I am also happy. Actually too much happy today, this weekend all the colleagues will go together to a barbecue. It's just Wednesday. :yummy: I feel excited just thinking of it.:biglaugh::party:
All my reflectors look the same and any time you take a color saturated photo color will vary between cameras and lens also if you read Sara's post the mix of the red and warm white will appear orange then you have the 620-650 nm led chips that Mars and all others use which are in the orange band of the color spectrum. As for yield I am quite happy with mine. You are in a grow with your lights and I have finished a couple with mine and the results only get better so if you want to buy more expensive lights that is your choice I'll stay with the Mars Hydro lights and now I have two new lights to hang

Gnarl, seriously :dreamy: when you come to China, come to visit us, touch the light with your hands and feel the remote control in your hand. Maybe it will come across your mind to have one. :cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:
I can assure you there will never be any confusion on my part over the Pro remote as it will never cross my threshold. :)

Haha, plugged,:allgood: I want all the feature Apple has, but I will never buy it. In China, you will find many brands has the same feautures and cost much less. :rasta:
Ah you must have a high threshold for cutting edge tech ! And I refuse to buy an Apple 6 just because they make the damn thing. ! :laughtwo:

lol :rofl: we can save them.:cheesygrinsmiley: Once it's stocked in our warehouse, the freight will cut down and customers also don't need to clear customs. It's a vision. :bigblush: I am not sure the exact time but I am sure it will not achieve in a short time. We are just begining. :circle-of-love:
I was told we are going to see price drops on the Pro model. That might / could be as soon as when the new Website gets finished. Or that is how I understood the post Sarah made 20 or more posts ago

The built in timers and Cree bulbs make them appealing to me.

I have enough panels for my little personal grow that I do not foresee myself buying them in the next 50,000hrs ..not until my current panels give up the ghosts.

:hugs: I am excited to see how it works with the grow, too.:cheesygrinsmiley:
They will have to get stock in the US and other Countries before the price drops. I was willing to live with the price but after Vat and taxes it was another story. I don't expect to see them in the warehouses till after the first of the year so we will have time to see how they work

Haha, Gnarl, drawer is a good place to put the remote control.:cheesygrinsmiley: We don't recommend to place it in the tent.:Namaste:

Haha, naughty naughty, mean girl, she knows you love her:)
So, here's my plant. She's gone a bit crazy on me falling out of the closet. She just keeps growing and her flowers are starting to fill in now and getting thick, and sticky mess everywhere all over me when I touch her, mean girl
