Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:thanks: thank you very much, randy. The power bill is expensive in Europe, as far as I know. It will save them certain amount of money during veg. :circle-of-love:
These switches control power and spectrum produced, the reflectors were for mainly tent use and allowed the spectrum to be altered and produce less heat and use less power then the Mars 2 or the old style lights. Here in the States a few Kw a day extra is not important either way but in other parts of the world it is a costly waste and too some it means a lot to be able to lower power useage

Great, pm received and replied.:circle-of-love:
Harvested last plant,(needed urgent more space) so first grow is finished , :Namaste:

Now its there time to shine.

Hi Blackstarline, I am sorry to know about this. could you post the pictures of the light when it's on and off and focus on the panel? The leds are not supposed to be orange. We don't have orange leds. It may be the light mixture as the warm white will be on when bloom on. And it's hard to tell the color from the picture. As your pic looks red to me, randy is like orange. So it's better to show the pic of the leds when it's off. :circle-of-love: You can send me an email too.:high-five:
Sara my friend who has the same light came round and confirmed that mine are orange and his are red you seem like you are finding it Hard to believe I have no reason to lie my lights are basically 3 weeks old, you also see that it's not just me but another person on here there lights are clearly orange check his pic. Who do I contact I want this sorted I'll send another pic if you must but the thing is broken my mate has also stated my veg isn't as bright either. He also said his are a lot warmer and my unit is producing hardly any heat at all which we both know isn't right, 3 weeks use, I maybe wondered if humidity or condensation could be an issue for the light?

Sara the Web site is down who do I speak to about my warrenty I'm having a good look and my green LED'S are a light green Iwhen I 1st tested it 3 weeks ago it was a nice emerald green, i've lost a lot of power I think not sure. Is it something I've done. I will post the pick as soon as, sorry for being such a pain but I'm worried.

Hi Blackstarline, please don't worry. We don't have orange leds. Hope we can work it out soon. You will not lose yield.:Namaste:
It shouldn't be orange randy, SmokeSara liked this post, when she can see that your lights are orange but then goes on to say they should be red, it's a pass take I would rather spend double the money and get something that works. Maybe a Budmaster no one is short of money in this game it's about reputation not price, losing yield costs way more then the most expensive light.

Hello Blackstarline, the website is unstable these days. Our new website will come out hopefully this week. You can contact me by email, which is in my signature. I will try my best to help you. :Namaste: As for the green, do you mean the casing? You will not lose power. You can check it by yourself if it's convenient for you.:circle-of-love: No worries, Blackstarline, you are always welcome here.

Do not Look into the lights, It will Damage your eyes and stop trying to act like a spectrum analyzer , your not.
Sunglasses will not help you be one either. Its likely your eyes have been damaged already by looking into them.

Remember both Photos from different panels with their grow switch off exposed the *SAME* red spectrum.

Hard to believe in this Day of rip offs and false claims but you got a good set of lights !

If your not having great success with them look for other issues like soil health/over fertilizing , PH etc.

:hugs: it's touching. You are still here with us.:Namaste: Looking back when we were 100pages, it's like a dream. At that time, we have never expected to go so far. Thank you, guys. :thanks:

Im still here sara... I must say, it has been awhile since i first found this thread... Watching the exploits of dennise and others, with the new fangled LED panels.... Proving the technology works, in its infancy.... So glad your products proved the doubters wrong...

Haha, Gnarl, good question!:thumb: there is reason for that option. At the early stage of growth, the plant doesn't need too much red lights. As it grows into flower stage, you can switch on bloom to add red light. That option actually offers you more options.:circle-of-love:

I agree that a veg selection serves it's purpose. Adding the red spectrum to veg also serves a purpose for flowering. My thought is there is no purpose to having a red only spectrum which runs without fans and could damage the light. Instead of having a bloom only switch that you advise people never to use simply take away that option to avoid confusion or a newbie risking burning up his /her light.

Make the choices veg only and flower (all LEDS on). Just do away with the bloom only switch. Keep it Simple.

I'm planning to visit China after November. Fire up your Wok. :)

So much confusion about a couple of switches ! I cant wait to read the posts of confusion on using the Pro remote.. Lol :high-five:

Better question: Why does the light even give you that option?

All my reflectors look the same and any time you take a color saturated photo color will vary between cameras and lens also if you read Sara's post the mix of the red and warm white will appear orange then you have the 620-650 nm led chips that Mars and all others use which are in the orange band of the color spectrum. As for yield I am quite happy with mine. You are in a grow with your lights and I have finished a couple with mine and the results only get better so if you want to buy more expensive lights that is your choice I'll stay with the Mars Hydro lights and now I have two new lights to hang

Ah you must have a high threshold for cutting edge tech ! And I refuse to buy an Apple 6 just because they make the damn thing. ! :laughtwo:

I can assure you there will never be any confusion on my part over the Pro remote as it will never cross my threshold. :)

I was told we are going to see price drops on the Pro model. That might / could be as soon as when the new Website gets finished. Or that is how I understood the post Sarah made 20 or more posts ago

The built in timers and Cree bulbs make them appealing to me.

I have enough panels for my little personal grow that I do not foresee myself buying them in the next 50,000hrs ..not until my current panels give up the ghosts.

They will have to get stock in the US and other Countries before the price drops. I was willing to live with the price but after Vat and taxes it was another story. I don't expect to see them in the warehouses till after the first of the year so we will have time to see how they work

Hmmm. Let me think...

I could get two Mars II 1200 5x5 tent combos and have enough left over for two digital timers, two duct fans with filters for the price of the best Pro model including shipping.

What to do?

I really need that remote so I can put it in a drawer with all my other remotes.

So, here's my plant. She's gone a bit crazy on me falling out of the closet. She just keeps growing and her flowers are starting to fill in now and getting thick, and sticky mess everywhere all over me when I touch her, mean girl
