Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

I do find it interesting that the new pro series doesn't come with Ir chips , ir is good for flowering , but doesn't seem to make much difference without it. I'm using the pro series for flower and they work great.

:circle-of-love: Hi CatfishKnight, it's always right to listen to your wife. :hugs: Hope the babies will recover soon.:high-five:
I would say the shock of going from the moisture dome and no air movement to a fan blowing in the room and not as much moisture. Wife said to plant them in the pots, leave open in the room and let them grow into the environment. She really is the garden expert. She has her own small 8x10 Greenhouse out backyard. She has a garden every year.

:circle-of-love: Hi kaivorth, you can consider about old model300w, which is just a little bit over your buget.:Namaste:
What's a great LED grow light for 1-3 plants? Hoping to keep the price to about $50. Would like it to do vegetation as well as flowering. Can just do 1-2 plants if I need to.

:thumb:If buget is not a problem, I advise you guys to choose from MarsII, Reflector and Mars Pro series.:high-five:
I would get the Mars ll 400. It's about $190.00 but will do 1-2 plants and it a great value for the price.

:cheertwo: it's very beautiful. Good job, plugged.:goodjob:
If you have a small space this is as cheap as it gets follow this link

:circle-of-love: that's correct, Stoney. The spectrums LED uses are mainly Red and Blue both of which are what plants need most.
LED is way better. It Emmitt more light that the plants use. They cost a little more to get started but over the long haul they are cheaper for running cost and maintenance.

:cheertwo:Great set-up! So one is for Veg and the other one is for flower...:cheesygrinsmiley:
Yes that's the plan. The led light is one I made. Waiting on my mars hydros

:circle-of-love:thanks for the help, super~ Australia and Canada still have 3w Reflector models.
They are in the process of switching them all to 5w. Not sure if that is done world wide yet. In the US they are all 5w. :peace:

:cheesygrinsmiley:your life is beautiful...
My wife told me I have (2) "Man Caves" now...

One is the bedroom with 40" Tv, Stereo Surround Sound, Subwoofer, and a bed with a woman in it...

Uhmmmm....

The second "Man Cave" is my new 8x10 Grow Room. With Radio, Music, a relaxing chair, a drink, and the "Other Girls" in my life...

Woot.... Yeah Baby....

:thumb:thanks for the advice, Glitch.:Namaste:
I think it's OK to drop that low on ocassion. Have to remember this litteraly is a weed and fall tempetures get much colder than that. It could effect yields or stunt growth. But won't kill her off. Your safe. I'm no pro but I have a few grows under my belt and all during winter months I've ran into this too.

:circle-of-love:thanks for the kind words, Stoney.
I was using a 400 Was ss MH/HPS and it got hot I was always fighting to stay at 83-86 so that's one reason I came to the Mars family. The other is I have heard really great things from 100 of people that Mars leds are really great product and wanted to be apart of the led club lol

:)if not at weekends and holiday, we are here on the forums every day.:circle-of-love:
I started my research a few weeks ago into LEDs. I've even made some of my own small watage pannels. And Mary's hydro just stuck out as the best bang for the buck. No its not made in the USA but they seam solid. And we even have a mars rep on the forum. I like what I've been seeing. I just have to decide on my flower light now. In the 2x2. The mars 2 400 or 2 of the older 60x5 watts. I think the 700 will be a waist of energy in my 2x2 since its at about 80 watts a square foot. But I've never used LEDs. So I'm so confused. Without you guys I'd just stick with cfl.
