first pic is day 3 under the Mars ll 1200 second pic is today day 7. Lots of healthy good growth.

You will get better penetration with the Mars II. If you defol a bit to allow light to the lower parts of the plant, you will be fine with the 3w. That being said, more is always better!! :smoke2: :peace:
 
So I just noticed my shitty Tent has a shit tone of pin holes all around it. I am wondering if I will be ok until flower with the little holes the room is dark that the tent is in but don't want to stress the girls. You guys and gals think I'll be ok in veg with a holey tent.

Get some chrome duct tape and seal those holes up from the inside. If you can. I think you'd be OK after that. Unless there is thousands of them ha-ha.

There is a lot of them not a thousand but about 30-40 maybe. I just need a new one. I am looking at the Mars 3.11x3.11x6.7 for $115.00 I have about $1200 invested already in this grow what's another 120 lol

Know the feeling lol. I believe in thier product. It's good quality. I don't have a tent I lined and vented a closet

I could see a faint purple glow in places around the zipper of my MH 5X5 which was bugging me a little until I zipped myself inside with a bright light outside and the grow light off. I couldn't see any light penetration and stopped worrying about nothing.

This is what it looks like pretty much across this hole side with holes everywhere. Looks like I might have to move to my scary basement. Which sucks because when it rains it floods a little around the sides of the basement so as long as I stay in the middle with good airflow I should be ok and not suffer from mold or mildew

Hello iseckz, I've been running my reflectors on their side for months with no issues whatsoever. The only thing I did do is make sure that the switches were at the bottom just in case the hot air rising constantly melted them. :thumb:

I jumped in at the deep end with my first purchase being the Mars II 1600w and I was so impressed that the HPS is on loan to a friend while the MH has been consigned to the cupboard as a backup light. I bought the reflectors back when they were 3w LED's and wasn't particularly impressed, although I think I may have judged them unfairly due to being spoiled by the results from the Mars II grow previous to that one. Maybe I'll run them solo again one day but for now they're looking like they're doing a fine job on the buds in the undergrowth where penetration is usually a problem. So much so that the lower branches tend to stretch out towards the side lighting. I'm not complaining though as I'm happy about that :)

For anyone interested in how the old style 300w lights are, they're fine. I mainly use them for veg but my auto's that are flowering under those are growing well and buds are swelling nicely. They barely give off any heat too so I'm able to run a cheapo 5" fan as an exhaust with no temperature issues whatsoever, although I have recently supplemented some IR, UV and some other spectrums of light in there.

Mars II are my favourites to date hands down. I would be interested in the Pro Cree version but for the remote, I will buy into those once there is an option of purchasing without the extra baggage. All the best and I hope this helps :thumb:

But I'd have to say hands down best speced and price led on the market. Great veg light. Great for small single plant flower. I have my mars 2 coming in for flower though. I'm excited. Has the veg and bloom switches. Most on eBay didn't. Think they are knock offs. Make sure you only purchase from mars hydro on eBay or amazon. Not these knock off companies.
