Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:party:thank you so much:kiss:I truly love baby plant. It's so adorable and healthy :hugs: Keep me posted the grow. I want to watch it grow up.:yahoo:
Hi Sara, you seem to like baby pictures so I'm including a shot of my Blue Dream that is about a week old. It's still under a humidity dome and a T5 but I'll be moving it under the LEDs soon. This is my second grow and I'm going to try to SCROG this since this style is probably better suited to the 3W Reflectors that I have.

:cheesygrinsmiley: Reflector has been updated to 5w now. :circle-of-love: I will share the video of remote control later. It's actaully not that difficult to operate.:hugs:
Hi Kriaze, and anybody else that has experience with the 3W Reflectors and the Mars II. I've got 3 of the 3x96 Reflectors and was wondering how the Mars IIs compared to them. I was happy with my first grow under them, but would welcome a 'stronger' light that would add some weight and density to my grow. Thanks for posting this.

And I agree with you about the gimmicky remote on the MH Pro Series. I will not consider one of these until there is a simpler way to operate them.

:circle-of-love: Yield depends on more factors, but Glitch, I believe you will get a good yield. :high-five:
I can't say yet but I believe the mars 2 should yield more. Lots more power. I'd say even the small 400 watt should yield 200 to 300 grams in scrog.

first pic is day 3 under the Mars ll 1200 second pic is today day 7. Lots of healthy good growth.

:hugs: that's a good advice for all, haha.:laughtwo:
You will get better penetration with the Mars II. If you defol a bit to allow light to the lower parts of the plant, you will be fine with the 3w. That being said, more is always better!! :smoke2: :peace:

They have grown a lot in the first 7 days under the Mars ll 1200. I feel very confident I will yield way better than with my 400 watt hps. My Temps are 100% RH is perfect Nutes seemed dialed in and light is amazing. All because the Mars ll 1200 runs so much more efficient than my MH/HPS. Now I just need to replace my holy tent. Lol

:thanks: thanks for the help, Glitch.:hugs:
Get some chrome duct tape and seal those holes up from the inside. If you can. I think you'd be OK after that. Unless there is thousands of them ha-ha.

:laughtwo: our tent is worth your investment.
There is a lot of them not a thousand but about 30-40 maybe. I just need a new one. I am looking at the Mars 3.11x3.11x6.7 for $115.00 I have about $1200 invested already in this grow what's another 120 lol

:ganjamon:haha, to be honest, almost all the feedbacks for our grow tent are positive.
I could see a faint purple glow in places around the zipper of my MH 5X5 which was bugging me a little until I zipped myself inside with a bright light outside and the grow light off. I couldn't see any light penetration and stopped worrying about nothing.

:circle-of-love: The tent for MarsII1200 is 47"x47"x78". Actually, there is promotion price for the combo of MarsII1200 and 47"x47" tent... You can wait for a while. Maybe they will be on sale for Christmas.:dreamy:
What one do you recommend for the Mars ll 1200. I was looking and am definitely going to get from you but running short on $$$ and might have to wait. :(

Stoney, I wouldn't worry at all about those pinpricks in the side of your tent (except I'd want to know who had been running through it with a needle). They are small and I doubt they could interrupt the light cycle of your plants. Bear in mind that outside plants have moonlight as well as stars and street lamps etc, yet they still flower. Your holes are pretty much the same, except no normal indoor household lighting should be able to penetrate through with enough lumens to wake up the plants. None of my tents are perfect as a lot of other growers aren't, there's no need to panic and needlessly throw more money into a new tent for that. Trust me you will find something much more important to spend it on soon enough once the growing hobby kicks in :)

If you're that worried just cover them with a spot of black tape but you will find that with holes such as those, small and static you should have no problems with plants going hermie. Personally I would have no problem with using the room with the light on whilst the plants are in their dark period :thumb:
