Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

What's a great LED grow light for 1-3 plants? Hoping to keep the price to about $50. Would like it to do vegetation as well as flowering. Can just do 1-2 plants if I need to.

Unfortunately 50$ won't even tickle the price of a decent led. The cheapest decent one is the mars hydro 60x5watt 300 watt 130 actual. Les pannel. Can be had on eBay for 66$ it will veg 2x2 and flower 1.5x1.5 and do it decently well.

I would get the Mars ll 400. It's about $190.00 but will do 1-2 plants and it a great value for the price.

I did 4 plants in here withe CFL's a long while back and got almost a qp. 300 ish watts of cfl. And all from random bag seed. I'm hoping LEDs give better yeild. I have pics in my gallery of the grow. Just really wana know incan donbetter with LEDs or I'm going to stick to the CFL's I already own.

LED is way better. It Emmitt more light that the plants use. They cost a little more to get started but over the long haul they are cheaper for running cost and maintenance.

I bought (3) of the Cree128... Ouch...

But running them at 80% for 16/8 hours, it only cost me $46 for the whole month according to my Kilowatt unit...

So I gave up my Cell Phone's Unlimited T-Mobile data internet access per month to route that $35 per month for my new Grow Room electric bill. Lol.

Anything I can use just pure led. I don't want to have to use any supplemental lightning like CFL's. Very limited space and heat concerns.

My wife told me I have (2) "Man Caves" now...

One is the bedroom with 40" Tv, Stereo Surround Sound, Subwoofer, and a bed with a woman in it...

Uhmmmm....

The second "Man Cave" is my new 8x10 Grow Room. With Radio, Music, a relaxing chair, a drink, and the "Other Girls" in my life...

Woot.... Yeah Baby....

That's a big ouch. I did the same thing got rid of my unlimited data to equal out the cost on electricity lol. I would rather not have a phone than my grow area lol
 
Off topic question what is the lowest the temp should go with lights off? I am at like 60-66 when lights off growing White Widow is that ok

I would try to stay in the 70s. I know low temps during flower can bring out some colors though. My last grow I had same problem with off temps and they started going purp

Cool I am glad I am not the only one to do that. LOL.
I would rather have my Grow Room than unlimited data access.
Man I really missed it at first. Had to wait till I was at work or at home using the wifi for internet.
