Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

:Namaste:don't worry much about it, CatfishKnight, 80f~85f is safe temp. How are your babies doing today? Are you better now?:circle-of-love:

Looks like 4 might survive Sara. :)

Question, ya have the reflector series on one side and the mars ii on the other, which would ya say is better or would they be about the same?
I'm talkin about a 4x4 setup.
Thanx

:circle-of-love:sorry about this, Catfish, it seems trouble you a lot that you can not control them individually.

Well Sara the Variable voltage switch didn't work out. I turned it almost all the way down and the brightness didn't change at all. Bummer. What kind of price can you give me for a 144/5 unit? The mother box is about 2'x4'. Or should I get something smaller? Thanks Sara

So I'm about to pull the trigger tonight. Flower area is 2x2. I've grown 4 plants here with 300ish watts of CFL's before. Looking to do the same again but I want to use LEDs as I cannot use hps and CFL's are actually very hot when they get over 50 watts each. I'm torn between 2 of the older mars hydro 60x5 watt lamps or a mars 2 400 watt. Again area is 2x2. I'm open to other suggestions. I don't want to go over 200. And both of these fit my budget. But I don't want to waist my time and money if I can't get a good yield from this. Height wise I have just about 50 inches. I'm plan to grow blue mystic from nirvana since its a short plant. My last grow with CFL's was 5-6 oz dried. I need to maintain or get better results. Any help is appreciated. New to LEDs. And don't want to spend thousands on a small stealth grow. This is my last big spending on this for a while.

I use a 96 reflector in a 2x4 for moms and clones , works pretty well , LEDs will veg a much bigger area than they will flower.

I think I will do a par test tomorrow of the reflector series 96 in the 2x4 and the 48 I have over some clones running on veg only in a 18"x24" , will also do one on the 400w I have in a 30"x30". Will do one later this week when the Cree 128 shows up.

:circle-of-love:Hi swwilson, you can put a Reflector48. The draw power of Reflector48 is 95~105w. :Namaste:
Hey Sara, I currently have a Solar Flare 220w Full Cycle inside of my 2x2.5 ft tent and I am about to switch to bloom. I am a little under par the recommended 35w/ft2 , and I was wondering if I could put a smaller series 2 inside with the solar flare. The recommended hanging distance is 12-18" and all of the Mars Led panel are 24-30"..Does this present a problem?

:MoreNutes::MoreNutes::MoreNutes: it looks beautiful.:goodjob:
On 11/15 this 4th cloned bag seed plant was put under 2 mars 60x5 (66.00 each) at 77 to 82deg 12/12
3gal cloth pots peat based mix and GH nutes. vegged with 5000deg led screw ins 18/6
Getting closer to what this strain likes I think.
3 or 4 more weeks to go

Once I start with the tent and mars I sure hope mine come out that great
Gratz and good-job on that

:circle-of-love:Maybe it's the better way... I have sent you a pm. Reflector144 is fit for 2'x4'. :Namaste:

:circle-of-love: congrats on the decision-making.:cheesygrinsmiley: I will support more smaller lights rather than one. 2pcs small lights will give you more flexibility and better light distribution:dreamy:

:circle-of-love:my dearest friends, here is one return rule which may confuse some customers, we are only allowed to refund after the light has verified to be restocked in our warehouse. Some think of it as to be unreasonable. Here is what we just receive from the return package.

:straightface:my heart is broken... Do you find the reason?

I would say the shock of going from the moisture dome and no air movement to a fan blowing in the room and not as much moisture. Wife said to plant them in the pots, leave open in the room and let them grow into the environment. She really is the garden expert. She has her own small 8x10 Greenhouse out backyard. She has a garden every year.
