Mars-Hydro LED Grow Light Discussion

For 80 Dollars it is worth it for sure. I used it to boost the flower of my last grow (ppineapple punch, headband) and got a great yield and tasting nuggs. I grew the same strain without the Mars 60x5 before that and i yielded about 100 grams less. Good little light.
What kinda yield did you get with it by itself. Trying to decide on my flowering light. May uses these lil guys or a mars 2 400

Not bad makes m feel better about my purchase. I bought from the mars hydro eBay store for 68$ and free shipping. Felt to good to be true but looks like it works. How much coverage square foot wise you think it's really good for?

Foot and a half so one med size plant

I switch back to the old school way.
I was very disappointed with my yield numbers, off my 96x5
18 grams dried & cured. (great smokes!! tho)
but now my setup changed.
I'm now running a 600 watt HID inside my 2x4x7 tent (dimmed down to 400w)
temps sit at 80f
I do plan to throw in the 96x5 for side lighting eventually. For now it's the VEG light.

but arellanobrian.. your journals still give me hope in investing in more reflectors NEXT to my 600 HID
once i ditch the tent and grow the whole closet.

;)

I don't think one 96x5 can compare to a 6090 watt or 400 watt hps. Lol get 2 or 3 144x5 reflector series or a Mars ll 1200

The one under the rflector looks a bit healthier which light do you prefer?

i like the one under the mars2 for the bud structure but i think that has more to do with the pheno then the lights. i prefer the 144x5 as it runs cooler, covers better area and is the same wattage

thanx for the compliments guys just got caught up, and yes i used a white balance feature on the camera i am using

Day 5 under the Mars ll 1200. They have grown quite a bit since I put under. I feel they are staying nice a tight because of it. I think I need to do a little trimming not sure though but there is already so many leafs blocking other little tops. O and when I open my tent the temp goes up about 3-4 degrees so the temp in the pic is not right it stays at 72-73

Lookin good Stoney R. prolly could pinch a couple of the bigger fan leaves off at this stage . When they get a little longer you can start training them . Bend it like Beckham . Definitely going to need more space soon. You have good humidity, my humidity fell to 16 and fan leaves were crispy overnight, this caused slowed growth as well. I have ordered humidifier and meanwhile hang wet towels every 12 hours to deal with low humidity issues. Your CoCo is kickin it , awesome, Dude.

another weekly video update using only mars LEDs :circle-of-love:

I'm using botanicare coco from a brick. Ally I did was add ph 5.8 water than plant. I am using General Hydroponics Gobox for Nutes. Thanks for the help I will be taking off the biggest fan leafs blocking all the lower growth.

:circle-of-love: feel so glad to know you love them so much as to convert you, haha:cheesygrinsmiley: The remote can work as a timer and you can adjust the intensity of the light. :Namaste: Since you have MarsII1200, you can consider about Pro series for next one. You can have a comparision between these two. They are totally different lights.:high-five:
So I decided to go ahead and get another light. I will be waiting till after the new year to pick it up, but wanna find out a little more about the pro series. I love the idea of the remote to control it. But does the remote and light have a built in timer, and would being able to lower the intensity below what Mars has it make for a longer lasting light? I am sure I will be getting either another Mars ll 1200 or the pro Cree 128. I also will be going with a bigger grow area than my 3.2x3.2x7 I will upgrade my tent to at least a 4x8x7 or close to that. Mars Hydro you have converted me 100% to leds. My Temps and just overall grow environment has gotten 90% better with heat and humidity all because I took the jump to your amazing leds thanks.

I am anxious to comparethe two. I am getting right after Christmas and will go through you this time Instead of amazon. I do have a question when I bought from amazon it said sold by Mars shipped by Mars so do I get the Mars warranty or Amazon there was another company selling the Mars leds but I of course paid the extra 50 to get from Mars

:thumb: thanks for the experience sharing. flyboy, when we made the instruction video for remote controller, we are thinking about referring to your sunrise&sunset settings. :cheesygrinsmiley:
We have 2 of the pro Epistar 320's and 1 of the pro Cree 128's, it's nice having the timer built in and yes changing the intensity down should help extend the life , as it will make it run cooler. I'm running the 2 pro 320's at only 80% for full day time , 18 hour day , split into 6 hour segments, first 6 hours spent slowly getting brighter to 80% and staying at 80% for 6 hours , then slowly go down in intensity for the next 6 hours till sunset. Using my par meter to determine the DLI of my plants and dial in my grow even better , save money on electricity, by adjusting your intensity up or down according to your plants needs. I would hope all lights made in the future would be adjustable like the pro's , not sure the remote is the greatest though :)

Also please remember that an led grow needs the temps to be at 84-85f to function optimally, less wasted light = less heat at the leaf surface.

:circle-of-love: Hi Glitch, the optimal temp is ranging from 80f to 85f.:circle-of-love:
Is it safe for the girls in 84f+ heat like that? My first grow ever was cfl and I tried to keep in then 70s.
