Mars Hydro Grow Journal TS3000: Chef's New 4x4

:welldone:

All that matters is how it looks to us!

Hate
that! Excellent recovery though. :thumb:

Must be time to flip then. :cheesygrinsmiley:
I think when I put the mycos in the cups it exploded and took up all the extra root space making them yellow faster.. but all of the new growth looks great. Yeah, I definitely should’ve waited on moving the LA Cheese, but oh well. I just wanted to get her into her new home so I could be free of transplanting worries for the foreseeable future.

now now, I’m not @Grand Daddy Black . I can wait patiently while they turn into monster trees before I flip. I’ve still got very full coffers! I’m pretty sure the KA5H tops out at 12.5 weeks for flower. And that’s only if I get the pheno I’m looking for, so no need to flip early.

LMAO!

I can to wait. Just watch and see on my next grow. :laughtwo:

And, yes, you should have waited on moving the LA Cheese, Mr. Fast Pants.

Whenever I get a multi-pack of the same strain I always drop the biggest one first! Can't help it. :Rasta:
I saw you posted that GDB and had to chime in. One of the biggest, tallest, and widest plants I've grown to date was a Blueberry from a nameless breeder and it was without a doubt the smallest seed I've ever grown. Just sayin, size doesn't always matter. ;)

I definitely lost my following for the time I was down!
Well don't feel bad. I did two complete grows start to finish and barely had any followers. Only a handful that actually commented/participated. Someone told me it's because of my writing style. WTF does that mean?

I did not, I scratch mycos into the soil about a week after they all popped so it’s already there.
Uh Oh, I may be using mycos incorrectly and have been for years. It has always been my understanding that the mycos needs to be in contact with the roots for it to do it's job. So to me that has always meant dusting the bottom of the hole with mycos and sitting the root ball down on to it and back filling. You're saying the way to use it is to mix it into the soil?

I'm all caught up now. Four good sized plants are all I can comfortably fit in my 4x4 tent so this should be interesting to see how they turn out. What size will your final pots be, Chef?

I suppose people will tune in as things get rolling a bit faster.
I’m not really sure, I’ve always found your writing clear and concise.

I think dusting the hole where the roots are going is the ideal way, but you can definitely scratch it in like a top dress. I wanted my plants to take off in their solo cups, so I added the mycos before they even got their first transplant.

I’m going to have all 6 of the new genetics in 5 gallon pots, and the cookies m chem donor will be in 3 gallon. All fabric. I know, I think I’ve gone a little overboard... but that’s sort of my style.
I will take a seat in the back:popcorn::passitleft:
Welcome CO, glad to have you along.
:passitleft:

So 7 plants in total in your 4x4 tent? If so don't veg them too long or you'll have a mess.

Yep, I’m gonna try and walk that line. I can always get creative with the training too. Shouldn’t take long to have wall to wall canopy with that many plants

See I was thinking NO training with that many plants especially no topping. Here is a photo of my 4x4 flowering tent with four girls that have been in 12/12 for about a week.

Where on earth would you put another plant? :D

I bet I could cram another plant in there in place of circulated air. I might be missing out on something so I'll be watching your grow really closely to see how you do with all those plants in the 4x4.

I've been down that sulfur burn road with modest success. It seems to slow down the hemp russet mites but doesn't eradicate them. Three or four days after a 4 hour burn I start seeing them again. And for me the only place I can do a sulfur burn is in the basement so I have to carry plants down and back up two flights of stairs. Plus the basement stinks to the high heavens for half a day when I do a burn. The Bonide I am pretty confident is going to be the ticket for me personally.

I already know the cookies n chem is going to be kept very modest in size, the Killer A5 is going to need more room than the rest probably.. the LA Cheese is going to have a hard time covering the entire area of her soil with foliage cause it’s just a small, slow growing cultivar.(too bad the buds are so outstanding)

that just leaves the chemdog, the garlic sherb, grandpa punch, and Xanadu.. I think I’m going to try to work the shape of these plants in sort of a carcass fashion. Wide and bushy but not tall at all. I’m going to take advantage of the height to deal with plants that are too large next to each other. I’ll be putting the penetration of the ts3000 to the test.

Alright, let’s show some stuff off.

Let’s start in the closet seed run. These plants are stretching and looking very health albeit completely out of control. I’m fine with it though, I’m not hung up on the resulting buds so long as they have seeds. Everyone is getting their stretch on, today is flip + 13.
Again, there’s a grandpa Glue front left, Sour Bubba behind that, It’s It punch back right, and Black Cherry Punch front right.

now to the big tent. Everything is looking good, but I think the power of this awesome TS3000 from @Mars Hydro is driving these plants very hard and driving up the need for calcium. It could also be that my MC is all wet and clumpy, I’ll be switching to fresh stuff for the next watering. Should be sometime before next week. Im thinking I may want to add some calmag to the mix though. Hopefully I can enlist the help of @Mr. Sauga in coming up with a proper blend of my components which are:
MC ( v2, brown powder w white balls)
Dynagro pro-tekt (0-0-3)
@Blue Planet Nutrients calmag (2-0-0)

hopefully that will help to get them all perky and pleased with life. As it stands now, here’s how they look:

LA Cheese
She’s a happy little girl and she’s growing slowly, yet fairly quick in comparison to the last true LACs I grew. This is a very special cultivar folks. The size her biggest fans are now is the largest her leaves grow, you’ll see what I mean when she gets some side branches. She’s a little rosemary shaped bush. Her buds are uber frosty and range from sharp sour lemon to sweet lemonhead candy. I’m very excited to be growing this again.

Xanadu
I think the Xanny is doing well in spite of the kinks in the nutrient solution. She’s stacked real tight, five nodes out? full veg definitely even though she’s quite small still.

Killer A5 Haze
The KA5H is looking fantastic also. Side branches already coming out and everything.

Garlic Sherbert
I think the GS is feeling the worst of the potential nutrient imbalance. She hasn’t really looked perky or praying at all yet. Gotta change that

Chemdog
This plants got all kinds of weird leaves on it. The fingers are insanely fat already. Looks like a pure indica or something. It’s also got a very distinct smell already.

Grandpa Punch

The GP is looking really happy, she’s also growing very fast. I think this might be the largest of the bunch. Got some decent side branches started as well.

Lastly a photo from the cam. I had to buy a usb microSD port so I could try to play around with the cam software. I got lucky though, as soon as I plugged in the card I found out the data had been corrupted and that’s why the cam no longer read the card as being inserted. Formatted the SD card and it seems to be working again. Oh, and I had to replace the cord they shipped with the cam.. it was causing all kinds of power cycling issues.

That’s all I got for now. BCP photos in the next few days :rollit:
