My closet is just completely wild. I’m glad everything is looking so healthy though. Can’t wait for the 4x4 to be filled wall to wall with bushes.

I’d like to post a little more information about the LA Cheese cause I’m just that excited about it.

This is copy/pasted from DNA’s website:

LA Confidential x Cheese
70% Indica : 30% Sativa
Flowering Time: 8-9 Weeks
Yield: 350-500+g/m2
Height: Medium

We took our triple crown winner, LA Confidential, and crossed her into the Exodus Cheese (Skunk #1) cut. This strain is light green and stinky with a sweet taste and a very medicinal high. Some pheno's will be short like the LA and some will be taller like the Exodus. The stinky Cheese and the exotic taste of LA Confidential makes for a perfect blend. She will finish in 8-9 weeks. If you want improved yields veg her 2-3 weeks from clone. It is recommended to pinch (not top) the plants to help with side branching to get the bushy affect. This strain is good for patients that suffer pain, sleepless nights, and eating disorders.

those are my pictures from the first ones I grew. It’s badass weed.

So what does it mean to pinch and not top to help with side branching?

Looks like everyone is off to the races now! Nice clear picture from the cam too.

Yeah I’m pretty happy with how it’s working now that it’s going right.

I did a test time lapse over the last day and it worked well. I moved stuff around so it was kind of confusing to watch, but now I’m going to do a two day test run to (hopefully)show you all. I was really having my doubts about the wyze camera, but now that I’ve got the ability to handle the data on the SD from my laptop it works right.
So what does it mean to pinch and not top to help with side branching?

You can pinch branches between nodes to help the lowers catch up. I’m probably going to just top mine at some point, select 8 good branches and go from there.

Yeah that didn't help. Pinch as in monster cropping? Cause I'm pretty sure just pinching a branch won't do anything but piss it off.

So much going on but I can't wait to see all the great crosses from that packed closet!
I’ve been thinking I may swap the youngsters into the closet and move the flowering crosses to the 4x4 for the next month or so, just while the young ones are still small. That way the flowering plants get more room to stretch out (and more light).

im not sure if that’s against the rules considering it’s a sponsored cycle :hmmmm:.

Happy Friday everyone! Yesterday I snipped a little piece off one of the buds on my ZkittleZ auto plant and looked at it through my mini lighted microscope. It showed me it was time to harvest her. Thought I would share a couple pics of the top half of the first branch I removed and trimmed up to dry. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

That's a cola not a nugget.

I'm So glad Chef G started a thread. I haven't been around much of late but might make a modest comeback of sorts. I am increasingly confident I have found the solution to my nearly year long Hemp Russet mite plague and that has made growing fun again. Plus my winter walleye season is winding down sadly which will leave me more free time.

SO, although I read in quite a few places that a pot larger then 5 gallons is overkill for auto flowers I'm not convinced. Last summer a guy at the recycling place gave me a 15 gallon heavy gauge plastic pot he was throwing away. I grew my first auto in it last fall ( Colorado Cookies) and she got to be quite big and produced my largest ever auto flower yield. I am currently growing that ZkittleZ auto in that same 15 gallon pot and she grew REALLY nicely. And a LOT bigger then autos I grow in a 5 gallon bucket or 5 gallon fabric pot. To that end I decided to buy a few more of the big 15 gallon heavy gauge plastic pots for autos. Finding them on the internet was easy. Only $6.34 each on one site which is a great price but unfortunately shipping was something like $35.00 for one pot and $50 something for 5 of the 15 gallon pots. Cheaper on Amazon at $33.50 each with free shipping. A 5 pack was $167.50 which is ridiculous to me.

I started looking around locally and found a nursery not too far away who was willing to sell me some plastic pots. He said come by on Friday and see if I have anything you can use. WELL, I went and he did!!! I bought (5) five of the 15 gallon size heavy gauge plastic pots, (4) four of the heavy gauge 3 gallon plastic pots, and (2) really cool tall boy pots. He said he feels they hold about 3-4 gallons. I am itching to see how an auto will grow in these tall pots. We shot the breeze for a bit about Covid-19 and business and it was time to go. He hit me with the total ONLY $20.00 for all 11 pots. It felt like Sweet Sue's cosmic team had swooped down and worked a mini miracle. It's nice to get a really good deal on something once in awhile.

I thought I would share one more photo. This is an auto strain called Blue Toof from Mephisto Genetics. I have to wonder what this plant in this 3 gallon fabric would look like now if it were in one of those 15 gallon plastic pots I just bought. She sprouted back on December 24th so is at sprout + 56 days today.

My plan is to let the ProMix dry out for a week and then dump the contents of the pot on to a tarp so I can see the roots. I can say with certainty that there are roots like this visible in all the openings at the bottom of the pot. So she has at least filled it top to bottom.
