Hell yes...it looks like brown fuzz...the one bud I removed from the Critical was the worst I've seen yet....entirely black/brown...it was wedged in between the ATF and Carnival and I didn't see any issues on the lower buds...It's obvious.Hehe, ok so you can see the rot in the bud? Blackish?
No need to panic...you can pull her anytime, but for now she looks fine. Short of a frost or obvious mold/rot I would leave her...Yikes. Now I really don’t know what to do.
Got it. Light sleeper here.Hell yes...it looks like brown fuzz...the one bud I removed from the Critical was the worst I've seen yet....entirely black/brown...it was wedged in between the ATF and Carnival and I didn't see any issues on the lower buds...It's obvious.
Also, during harvest, you will likely find more as you trim off the fan leaves and get a better view. Lastly, you will see even more in the wash as the brown stands out when wet...
I red that or something like that. As long as the full doc bud's full wash gets done the pm that lingers gets killed.I just saw a thread where an outdoor grow had PM and the verdict was it doesn't affect the buds so not sure it is a dire issue. Others here might have more to add...

Hi Oldbear welcome to the club! I've been agonizing for a week looking at rain, cloudy days, powdery mildew, and smallish buds and more rain. She looks great. Good LuckI’m struggling with a when to harvest decision with this outdoor girl. Any advice? I have no idea how much additional yield there might be by waiting.
All opinions welcome
Ok, I will be looking for something like the bottom two for the basement. I think 110 is a good capacity for the indoor garden. Will likely need double that for the outdoor garden to make it work, probably more.
Leave the big fan on 24/7 !! Good luck !!I've been asking myself the same thing...never really cared until I had a GH full of beautiful buds threatening to rot!
When the hairs start to curl back toward into bud and changing color, is time to start checking trichome color. At this point, most plants are 2-3 weeks from harvest. But that 2-3 week period is when the buds enlarge the most. All my plants are not as ready, as I'd like, but harvest now will probably be just before the next big storm. Once you find bud rot, It's just gonna get worse.I’m struggling with a when to harvest decision with this outdoor girl. Any advice? I have no idea how much additional yield there might be by waiting.

Well, I broke down yesterday and put a dehumidifier in the GH. They eat a lot of energy and I was reluctant but it was ridiculous and I figured I came this far so let's see if I can keep RH lower in there. I had it set for 50% (optimistic) and haven't gone out to check it yet. Ir's 100"% RH outside now so anything less helps.110 gal will last me 3 weeks for 8 -10 girls in flower automated watering.
I like that staked pic Blew... thats nice. Good footprint too. We have 55 gal containers outside.
Been raining so much I've just opened the drains and let em run off. The gardens outside haven't need any rain since last fall. We've had serious epic rains here all spring and summer. We came home from Canada and it rained for 9 days straight and 100% humidity with 74F dew points. Like walking outside instant wet.
PM EVERYWHERE here. Anyone with an out door grow even with a roof. I doubt there's anything but mold.
Blew congrats on your harvest.
Be mindful your chopped buds can go moldy too. Gotta keep air on em or put them in a room with AC to dry. Thats what we do. If we didn't have AC I wouldn't have any weed right now. It's that humid.
I toss buds with PM/bud rot. It's a health thing. You don't want to get pneumonia or something crappy like that. Be careful guys.
The thing that kills the mold is H2o2 peroxide. You can bud wash in it 50/50 and it will still do the job but that a lot of peroxide. Won't hurt the buds tho.
For you outdoor growers. To keep from getting bud rot do the Horsetail fern tea and foiler on starting in veg. This will kill the mold spores.
It's an old old remedy for this and all sorts of mold and PM issues. Organic farmers been using it for generations on orchards and veggies. I use it on my cannabis and haven't had any mold ever since starting using it.
Handful of dried Horsetail Ferns into a mason jar with boiling water. Let steep and cool to room temp then into the fridge. Foiler about 1/2 cup to a gal filtered or rain water and spray the plants top to btm 1x a week in VEG. Can be used all the way to chop but not really necessary. Can be added to your IPM routine should you be using one.
Good luck coming down the stretch. Hope the warmer weather holds on a little bit longer and keeps the dew points down below night time lows. It's tough when its humid.
When we came home from Canada it was so humid I thought I had PM on my balls. Wow it was bad. Nothing would dry out and as soon as we went outside it was sweat...and water beading up on exposed skin, didn't even have to be raining. Worst year ever here in Philly.
That's a nice setup for drying and hot water. I'd like the smell too opening the door. Hope the GH RH comes down. Temps coming down is helping the outside growing amd pm. Keeping cool and dehumidifing don't go hand and hand unless you have one with a dedicated exhaust I find. Catch 22 at times. I found some interesting notes on temps, wind. heat, and PM.A small part of it is on page 20 of my journal if your iinterestedWell, I broke down yesterday and put a dehumidifier in the GH. I have a secret weapon for my drying buds....we have a wood pellet boiler for out heating as well as our hot water. We've learned that if we run the boiler through the summer for hot water it's much cheaper but also it dehumidifies the basement....right now the basement is 68F and 52% RH which is ideal for bud drying. When the cellar door is opened it's a wave of sweet cannabis!
I also bud washed these last 2x harvest...wasn't taking any chances.
I haven't been able to find any near where we are. I know its native to the area, but I am not seeing any where we normally venture. When I find some it will definitely become a part of our routine.
