Maine 4-Season Greenhouse Grow

Ok, I will be looking for something like the bottom two for the basement. I think 110 is a good capacity for the indoor garden. Will likely need double that for the outdoor garden to make it work, probably more.
My guy had 3x of them stacked...same concept.

Looked at the weather and it appears RH will not drop below 70% until the weekend (96% presently!), so I need to look at the DTF this morning and decide if her harvest day has arrived. I am reading so many threads about losing plants to rot and I am thinking a bird in hand might be the best route. Her trichomes are cloudy and she is ready enough....maybe next year I can grow her out longer and let her buds get properly fat...but I'd cry if she rotted and I had to pitch her. Stay tuned.

Mornin' BH,

Hard to believe, isn't it? I've never seen this much humidity, except when I went to Louisiana. Makes me rethink my strain selection for next year!

Living on the coast of maine, I can't believe I can't find any fish byproducts for making teas with. There used to be several companies (sardine processing, redfish, etc.) selling used fish carcass for lobster bait. Do you know who or where one would find something like that? Thanks.

Hey Blew. This humidity is crazy brother. I certainly understand the desire to take her while you have a chance. The DTF is a very sativa strain so taking early will probably only heighten the sativa nature.

I would love to see you be able to bring her into the full harvest window and see how she is! But balancing what might be with what happens if things go south, its tough to not take her while you can. The good thing is that taking her early won't be the end of the world with that strain.

I only heard of a local guy tried to compost lobster carcasses...until his neighbors dinged him for the stink! I bought the fish fert from Mass...works well.

I took her down this morning and have been trimming for 4 hours...she was big and sticky! I can't imagine her in full prime...she would be a sticky sweet monster. BUT, I was finding little nodes of rot all through her so very pleased I harvested her....like Kenny says...you gotta know when to fold em!

I also shifted the Critical (can't really move the Carnival in the 45) over into the DTF spot to increase air circulation and sunlight ...up on the ladder checking her out found a solid rotten single bud...now I gotta keep an eye on that one...good news is that I am ahead of them instead of vice versa....

So Blew, I see some pm on one of the two in the yard. I don't want to spray bacteria anymore I'm pretty sure. Also I am going to wash.
I just saw a thread where an outdoor grow had PM and the verdict was it doesn't affect the buds so not sure it is a dire issue. Others here might have more to add...

I'm having trouble finding the point where I know it's time to pull the plug. Where do you draw the line?
When you start worrying about it in the middle of the night...:)

I made the choice to pull the DTF today because the rot was definitely not going away and the weather looked shitty for the next few days (and I had today free to do it). Next year hopefully I can grow her out to her glorious potential....

Hehe, ok so you can see the rot in the bud? Blackish?

I’m struggling with a when to harvest decision with this outdoor girl. Any advice? I have no idea how much additional yield there might be by waiting.

All opinions welcome
