As it turns out, @gwhunran, the golden ratio is also the perfect dimensional ratio for a loudspeaker cabinet. I built a pair of cabinets for some 8" triaxial speakers based on the golden ratio 1.618Hx1.00Wx0.618D.
They turned out great. Nice flat response.
I'm glad you guys didn't think it was too nuts, to consider the idea of a magical spot of light, reflection, and dimension.I'm not sure that the Fibonacci sequence is spiritual, perhaps mathematics verges on the so-called spiritual by dint of it's esoteric nature I wonder how many unexplained mathematical mysteries AIs will begin to unravel and explain to us going forward! The golden ratio brings balance and proportion to bear. I use it in composition
Becca, thanks for the speaker reference. It's perfect. I too love music and have put together a couple of good systems, one upstairs and the other downstairs. I'm old school my mains are big and my amps are heavy. I run a two sub system downstairs. If the music isn't on, I'm not home.
Me being the left brain kinda guy that I am, I appreciate those that have artistic abilities. My late brother and sister both had some ability to make music and paint. I can set up a system and tweak it in, but can't play an instrument and I can barely draw a stick figure.
Thanks Keith, The smell is their main attribute at this point. The force is strong with these.Very nice, gwhunran
Gotta have a picture.
