Date: 7/6/23 Day# 74 Fday# 45
Medium: 5G SIP bucket with FFHF soil & Dynomyco
Nutrients: Remo Nutrients week#6-8 flower

The last time I updated, I was thinking that Daisy was getting too many nutrients. After that update, I noticed that she had started pulling a bit from some of her lower fans. She has plenty of fans and not much time to go, so I'm not too worried. I'm also not about to start backing off on nutrients, though. I'm keeping her on full-strength Remo for now. She finished her last bucket and got a gallon of straight water yesterday. Tomorrow I'll mix up 5 more gallons, maybe the last she'll need.

Daisy is definitely starting to show her age. On day# 74 from seed and after 44 days of flowering, she probably only has a couple more weeks to go. I've plucked a dozen or so shriveled leaves from the bottom that just came right off. While her leaves are starting to look a little ugly, her buds are filling in and getting frostier (and some purple?). The smell is getting stronger too :yummy:

She's still getting some light from the second AeroLight, but she's mostly under a single 100w @VIVOSUN AeroLight in flower mode. I've backed it up an inch or two to get a better spread. On a 20/4 schedule she is still getting around 40DLI all over. How much bud can she pack on?

She's aging beautiful IMHO, and really starting to pack on some weight. Great job as always!

There is nowhere to go but up for Julie. She's growing quickly too, up to 15" tall already. I raised the AeroLight a couple of inches to keep her at 40DLI. Her LST is done and she has a nice full canopy. Now I'm ready to see some flowers!

I mixed up 6 more gallons of Remo for Daisy today. She still has a couple more weeks to go, so I'm going to try to keep her from pulling from her leaves too much. Hopefully I can keep her healthy enough for a big finish!

and more and more...:cheer:
Well I missed you :)
Thanks Trala, glad to be back!

Thanks V4L, and yes she is! And now Julie is starting to stretch right beside her:yahoo:

Thanks 024. I'm not a big fan of 'the fade', at least not until 5-10 days before harvest. She has plenty of leaves, though, so as long as she's still putting on weight who cares? And she does look pretty:circle-of-love:

What a fun pair to watch BudMan!

Would you mind if I tag along BudMan
Of course not Keith, the more the merrier. You picked a good time to join, I have a couple of monsters in the tent right now :)

I was just going to ask if you topped her (Julie)...Then I saw this... How many times did you top her?

:volcano-smiley:
Just the once, above the fourth node. The rest is LST.

Medium: 5G SIP Bucket with FFHF soil & Dynomyco
Nutrients: Remo Wk#1-4

Julie is drinking over 2L/day of full-strength @Remo Nutrients wk1-4. She's almost finished with her first week of flower nutes, so she'll get a water break soon.
Julie Tracker 20230710.png
This @Herbies Seeds Girl Scout Cookie Auto is my largest autoflower so far. She's 19" tall and 30" wide and really just starting her stretch. I've moving the @VIVOSUN AeroLight back an inch or so every day now to keep her at 35-40 DLI. I'm keeping her on her riser for now, at least until both AeroLights are even with each other. I'd love to keep both lights even to better use the overlap.

I'm trying to keep her canopy as even as possible. It's hard because there's no room to pull anything to the side. Heck, it's hard just to turn her around in the tent to reach the back. These two ladies have really filled up this tent!

I removed a couple more suckers and a little bit of inside growth today. I also took a couple of the smaller branches and pushed them up through the middle to fill it in some.

Thankfully, she finally looks like she's ready to start flowering. With a couple more weeks of stretching, I think she's going to make me glad I upgraded to the 80" tent ;)

Daisy isn't drinking as much in the past couple of weeks, almost half of what she was drinking two weeks ago. She's still going through 2L of full-strength nutes daily, though. I'll be switching her to plain water soon.
Daisy Tracker 20230711.png
I've put the @VIVOSUN SGS to -FLOWER- mode, lowering the RH to 60% day/52% night. In her last couple of weeks of flower, I'm hoping the reduced RH will lead to increased density in her flowers.

I've removed a couple of dozen shriveled up leaves from all over. I pull them down at the base and they just snap off. She has a lot of leaves, though, and not much more time before harvest.

Her buds are filling in nicely. They're finally getting a good layer of frost on them. I'm starting to see some purple in them as well. The smell is funny, one day it seems to be picking up and the next it dies down.

I have to be very careful with the wiggle test on her. She has really long stems and already has some lower buds falling over. I can feel her buds getting dense and putting on weight, though. I'm hoping I don't need to stake her up at the end... I mean, with Julie next to her there's really nowhere for them to fall ;)

Thanks for stopping in Krissi, and It's great to see you back on the site:green_heart:

Nice towers on that plant! Sorry if I missed it, but have you diagnosed the burning and yellowing leaves? If I switch to Remo I want to know if there's something I should be on the lookout for. :)
Thanks Shed, and I haven't diagnosed the issue. Want to take a crack at it?

This is my 3rd auto with Remo, and the first that I've had problems. My best guess is that she drank too much nutrients early and has a salt buildup or pH issue. Most of the bad leaves are coming from the bottom but some on top. The top started showing issues first, though, with what looked like tip burn. I think her drinking less is also related.

I'm going to give Julie more water breaks to try to keep her from building up. We'll see how it turns out. Meanwhile, I'll be looking at Daisy's roots here in a couple of weeks to see what I can see.

Are you feeding according to the Remo chart (which I'll have to dig up)? I would like to take a look at the blend before taking a stab at it because P toxicity can look like that, along with both K tox and deficiency! Those burnt edges in flower are often not enough potassium but I don't think that happens often with synthetic nute grows, since manufacturers love to pump the K.

Just found it and here is what it recommends for week 7 of flowering:

1689109248990.png

If that's what you're using the numbers come out like this by my calcs:

159-127-439 with Ca at 0, Mg at 40, and S at 26.

K is off the charts and no idea why they drop Ca to 0 at the end. Of course this only applies if you're using their numbers!
What would you reduce in their mix to bring the K under control? The bloom? The kelp?
