Nice job brother.Daisy (Barneys Farm Dos Si Dos Auto) - Final Update
Date: 8/2/23 - Day# 12 of Drying
Strain - NASC - Barneys Farm Dos Si Dos Auto (Daisy)
Drying Space - 28SqFT closet with central A/C
Other Equipment: Air purifier circulating air, humidifier with distilled water
Temperatures
There were a few days where it was 98f outside, and my A/C is over 20 years old. The closet got a little warm at times, but thanks to the humidifier the RH stayed in the right range for drying.
Daisy has been in the drying closet for 12 days now. I'm getting ready for another harvest, so today I bucked and bagged her buds.
She was on 6 hangers altogether, with one only 1/4 full. I started with the first three hangers, which mostly contained smaller inside nugs and larf. Not the most dense nugs, but still very sticky and trichy. I have plenty of friends and family that would love to have some of this bud. I got 62g of bud after it was all bucked.
20230802_135232.jpg
Vivosun Trim Tray all cleaned up and ready to buck some buds
The fourth hanger was more substantial than the first three, but still had smaller buds and some of the longer inner branches. It ended up with 44g of middling buds.
On the fifth hanger we have some of the outside buds. These are a more dense still, and a bit longer as well. This hanger had 84g of bud.
The final hanger was the best branches. Some of these branches were over 20g by themselves. Most of this was dense, sticky premium buds. This hanger had 134g!
So all together, Daisy ended up with 324g, or about 11.4 oz of bud. That beats my largest auto harvest by over 3oz She's in a 1 pound Grove bag now, with a Govee hygrometer.
I'll monitor the bag over the next week. If the RH gets > 64%, I'll dump the buds out into my @VIVOSUN trim tray and let them sit for 20-30 minutes before putting them back in the bag. I'll also tumble the bag daily, just to make sure the buds aren't clumping together. In my previous experience with Grove bags, though, as long as you get the bud in the bag < 65% RH the bag takes care of the cure. I took the Govee out of Gina's (Gelato Auto) bag. You can see how steady the bags keep the RH.
I'll wait at least a day to see where the RH settles. As soon as I know it's < 64%, I'll squish some up and see how she tastes. Until then, I'll be trying out the scissor hash and kief collected.

Beautiful roots for such a tiny plant.
Thanks RSRSpectacular. Just a ridiculous haul from an auto. You are a Weed Wizard Sir, the Pied Piper of Pot Plants.
Thanks GDB. The scissor hash and kief have been really niceExcellent haul BudMan! Looking forward to hearing what you think of it.
Thanks TralaGood job Scissorman!
Thanks KeithNice job brother.
Thanks Krissi. It'd be a lot less work without these damned spider mites! What a stellar harvest Budman! Working it as per usual!
I love seeing the seedlings next to one in full flower. It's hard to believe there's only 4-5 weeks difference in them. That was my first thought, from such a little seedling
Thanks Krissi. It's a PITA to deal with, spraying and releasing ladybugs. I may need to take drastic measures soon...Spidermites may be a pain in the butt (and I am scared shitless of them) but they are no match for you Budman
I have issues with K getting locked up in my seedling vegetables, especially with my acidic water and over use of cal/mag. (From what I gather, excessive magnesium can inhibit potassium intake?) I like to give em a foliar of bloom nutes or a nute with high potash like Rx Blend Core2 - and a little PureCrop1 (a soap to help it stick) a couple times a week. Usually knocks it right out.The Vivosun Auto Oasis

Violet (Herbies Seeds Grandaddy Purple Auto)
Date: 8/4/23 Day# 12
Medium: 4" Pot with FFHF soil and Dynomyco
Nutrients: None
Wednesday morning, Violet got her first full watering since going in the 4" pot. It had been 10 days since she was uppotted and fully watered, and she's only had two 30ml drinks in that time. Her drinking has picked up since. I almost gave her 30ml this morning, but decided to wait another day.
She had a nice growth spurt yesterday and looks like she is ready to take off. It looks like the ladybugs have adopted her and hopefully will keep the bad bugs at bay.

Julie finished her water break over the weekend and has been on her custom Remo mix this week.
Coming off her water break and back onto her nutes, she looked pretty good on Wednesday.

Today she does not look good at all. She must not like something in her current mix. She's got some yellowing going on the bottom, with some leaves curled up.
Her uppers look even worse.

Julie (Herbies Seeds Girl Scout Cookies Auto) day# 66 - No problems here
She's really going quickly, and I'm terrible at diagnosing issues. I see the spider mite damage, and she's due to be sprayed again this weekend. However, the yellowing/briowning concerns me more right now. My guess is K-tox, but then why all the yellowing? For a reminder, here is the nutes I'm feeding her.
So, what would you change @InTheShed or @farside05 , or anyone else? Do you think I need to reduce the K further? Or am I seeing a deficiency. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Shed. Daisy is stable in the bag @ 61% RH, never even had to ventFirst off congrats on that harvest and the amazing record-breaking haul! Daisy looked terrific with the fans off and even better in the closet. Also Violet is looking great with her ladybug companion like a frickin' children's book!
Yea, I guess I need to re-think my water breaks when I'm feeding at the lower end. I went from feeding full-strength to feeding near the minimums. At some point I need to get better at reading the plant and adjusting, too.Julie is looking more K def than tox to me with the yellowing and the curled up tips, but the mix looks like it should be pretty close to spot on if nothing got mixed up in the mixing up process. Regardless of the experiment that farside is running with much lower K you do have upside if you want to try heading up to 200ppm on the K as an experiment.
However, consider that the days of plain water might not have helped. It does take a few days for those deficiencies to show, so you might want to consider sticking where you are and hoping the new K she's getting will be enough now that it's in the res.
Thanks RSR. I've never done a foliar feed before. She's drinking over 2L/day, though, so I'm just going to feed the roots. I mixed up a batch of full-strength week# 5 Remo nutes and she'll get a couple of feedings of that.I have issues with K getting locked up in my seedling vegetables, especially with my acidic water and over use of cal/mag. Date: 8/7/23 Day# 15
Medium: 5G SIP Bucket with FFHF & Dynomyco
Nutrients: Geoflora Veg
As soon as Violet's tap root hit the bottom she picked up her drinking. This morning, she had almost drained the pot in 48 hours. Close enough, time for an uppot.
I mixed 1/2 cup @GeoFlora Nutrients veg along with 1 Tbsp @DYNOMYCO into the FFHF soil. I packed some soil around the feet to hold it in place, then filled the bucket with the amended soil. I used a pot of soil as a placeholder for Violet.

I took Violet out of her 4" pot, sprayed the root ball, and then coated it with Dynomyco. I took the placeholder pot out, sprinkled more Dynomyco in the hole, and put Violet in her new home.

I filled with a little more soil (the last I had). Then I watered her thoroughly with water + SNS-209 + BTI + Great White. It took about 3 liters to saturate the soil and get a little run-off into the res.

She got the same riser that Julie was using earlier, and her own rolling tray. This puts her around 20 DLI on her third week. She's still pushing out her 4th node so she's a couple of days away from topping.

Thanks Keith. She's moving along well, I just hope she likes her new SIP.Nice very nice.
I think you should get that K to 200. Even 320ppm is crazy high. This brings the K down from 440 to 320. She'll get this for the next week, then I'll see how she's doing.
You think I went too far the other way? If she was struggling so bad at 180K, do you really think 200K will make that much a difference?I think you should get that K to 200. Even 320ppm is crazy high.
