Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed Planted New Year's Eve During the Blue Moon

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Thanks DroJo. No, I sure don't...I could email Rustoleum and ask them if they can provide more detail than the web site and spray can do. I was going to paint it on over the white enamel as an additive. They don't list any real specs anywhere that I can find.

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Bushy, bushy, bushy...taking some clones would probably actually help at this point lol Does anyone know how long after I take clones that I should give her to recover before putting her in to flower?

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

I have always seen people take cutting right before they switch to 12/12. Never hear of a recovering time. I will do some reading on that.

Looking great though. keep it up bud

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Clones are deff. gonna be great, I would think you need at least 2 weeks to re- coup, I think I read that somewhere but I would think it's enough time to start pushing out new growth.

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Sisco was in the right range.. about 1-2 weeks. If you take your clones from the bottom then closer to one week, if you take em from the tops then perhaps closer to two weeks. I always take clones/trim the week before inducing flower, and they seem to do fine.

Dude that main stem is thick... im talkin like precious thick :bravo:

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Ok, so 1-2 weeks before putting the mother in flower after taking clones...depending on where they were taken from. I have my Rapid-Rooter plugs soaking in a mild solution of EJ Bloom (0-3-1) and Catalyst (0.3, 0.01, 0.1, What is EJ Catalyst? 420 Magazine). I was surprised they were still moist after six plus months but had read that many people soak their plugs prior to cloning and figured it was a good idea. As mentioned a page or two back she was given a regular dose of the same nutes about eight or nine days ago to help reduce nitrogen levels and give it some extra phosphorus to help with root growth. Need to hurry up and take those clones, hopefully tonight...still need a razor and something to put them in to keep humidity up (bone dry where I live usually). Some plastic tub I'm thinking...

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Finally got some screen filters put on the intakes...hopefully it will keep some of the nasty stuff out. Those who read my first journal probably remember the cat hair in my buds lol. Aside from that I've been noticing more buildup on the exhaust fans since doubling their CFM and relocating the cabinet elsewhere in the same room.

Also finally added the weatherstrip around the door but that came with a new problem...now the door won't close lol. *sigh* I think I may need to run some 2X2's around the border on the interior of the door to straighten out the mild bow it has in it and offset the latches with a few washers. The vinyl weatherstrip works too well, it doesn't compress nearly enough to allow the latches to catch.

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

I used the same type of weather strip on my closet door, and the door wouldn't close cause it was too thick. I just put my weight on it and got the door to close and it sort of got off square but it does close now..

Pretty cool looking cabinet by the way!

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Hey lil N, cab is looking good. It would be a lot of work to take your weather strip off but you could get some quarter round corner molding and put it on the inside edge of the 2x2s and mount the strip to that. you can put it wherever you need to make a good seal and still get door closed. I'm certainly not being critical of your set up, just thought it might be an easier option than rebuilding your door. :peace:

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

You could always put panda film up, cut it in half and velcro the middles. then shut the doors on top of it.

I push hard enough to make the cabinet want to tip over backwards and still no luck; it's pretty solid once it compresses the hollow part lol.

Pretty cool looking cabinet by the way!

Thanks!

Interesting solution...and lets me use my power tools some more ;)

I have not looked in to panda film but it looks pretty good in your cabinet, I'll have to check in to that too. Probably come down to whatever's cheaper unless I think one just isn't worth the extra work versus money and time saved.

Thanks for the input guys, it is appreciated!
:thanks:

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

I was just thinking...if hormones are more concentrated towards the bottom of the plant and are thus better for cloning, on a plant that has been LST'd is it correct to say that it's less important where you take clones from???

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

If a tree falls in the woods, right?

Its a good possibility that the plant still retains the hormones in the bottom of the plant, due to it being older than the rest of the plant. Not sure though.

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Hmm lost me on that one, didn't know height was a variable. I was thinking that the length of the stem was like a road that the hormones traveled on, even though the road is curved doesn't mean its any faster to get there. OK, lost myself on that one. My mind is fuzzy right now. :p

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Check out Tunes420s journal, it's titled; Tunes Blueberry/ California special. He is awesome with LST, trims most of the undergrowth and gets his clones from there.:peace:

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Not sure if I need to trim the larger one a bit more...as of now they're in that contraption I call a humidity dome. It is half a gallon milk jug and the bottom of a Tupperware container with a tiny bit of water in the bottom to keep humidity up and create a seal. If I've screwed something up please let me know asap :) I decided to put them right under the lights, they'll get nine hours of light and then they're off for the six hour night period. If this is wrong and they DO require a period of no light after first being cut I couldn't find any mention of it...

I did go back and fill in those gaps with some more rooting gel (Advanced Nutrients Juicy Roots...free sample bottle I got from a local hydro store) near the stems after I took the pic

Re: Lil Neutrino's 2nd Indoor CFL - Bagseed planted New Year's Eve during the blue mo

Hi Lil Neutrino Sorry I don't know jack about cloning, but Butcher just posted some good info in his journal..it may help.:goodluck:

The cabinet door. There are some good ideas posted here that I will probably try. I did the very same thing you did on my cabinets. They were hard to close when I built them, but now 8 month later, I cant close them at all. The wood seems to have expanded over time. Never expected that. :smokin:
