I heard that
Right now it's at six inches give or take a quarter inch and already has roots growing out the bottom. I noticed that 2-3 days ago actually, hadn't checked before that so who knows when it started. One of said roots is two inches long so in hindsight I should have just skipped this pot size. I seem to recall having a similar "problem" during my last grow, having two quick transplants that is. Although my gf has dubbed me the Transplant King after she's seen how well plants of all kinds have done after I get done manhandling, er, transplanting them 
I try to be careful but doesn't always work out lol.

Pesky roots, I saw a few trying to get out of the 2.5 gallon containers they are in now, but they die off after being exposed for a couple of days. I remember my last scrog the root ball was not packed tight at all so I know that they won't get pot-bound.

Full plant shots...she's 6.5" tall, 4.5 weeks old now
The new sprout, hopefully it fares better than the previous one...it got this far and just died.

That is a purty little plant. What are your plans for her? You gonna clone her (she is pretty unique)?

Yes! Yes! Yes! CONGRATS!!!!!! Now were talking, I like Mountain Highs suggestion. Did you name her? She looks great, so does the little sprout. Great to see you had a good pre-flower. Wish you the best with your grow and the harsh world.

Definitely thinking about trying to clone her since she's still in the veg cycle. I'm gonna have to go back and look at the pics from my previous journal and see how much effect two weeks of LST had on the other plants. How long could I keep training her in to 12/12 when they go through that big stretch?
Might be able to stretch it to three weeks but I'd like to have some homegrown for 4/20 although at 6 weeks in to 12/12 it may have enough of a cerebral buzz to take a bowl and go hiking provided we don't get snow like we did last night and today.

This was lilbit her first day in 12/12. She has put all her growth out in 12/12 stretch.
Something to think about.
I want to do naughty things to her already...like sample...there is a minty smell coming from my closet. Like fresh spearmint almost. I am in heaven. No odor control wanted if she don't turn skunky or something.

Upon second inspection Lilbit looks very close to the size of the female from my first grow when I put her in to 12/12 also. Didn't LST her and she shot up to 13" tall yielding just over an ounce dried including the small sample buds I had taken off while monitoring the trichs/buzz. I have a feeling this plant will easily double that if I do it right!

I have (mountain) HIGH expectations for all three of my girls, just from lilbit's current behavior. I simply can't believe how much bud she is stacking right now considering her age. She just got her last full grow/bloom feed, next stage is bloom/bloom enhancer for two weeks. If she is looking semi ready that will be it, except molasses in my phed water. I wanna see all this bud she is stacking on fatten and swell til she looks like Miss PiggyHi Buddy I think your right. LST her and veg a bit more and let her go.
Probably get twice the yield in the end.

Transplanted the female just a few minutes ago...after seeing the roots I'm glad I did not wait any longer! I thought the roots I saw poking out the bottom were just some outliers seeking out water further down...so much for thinking
This is the root system two weeks after the previous transplant, should have skipped that one altogether...will do that on the next one.

LOVELY, What a healthy site. I can't wait to see what my girls in the one gallon buckets look like. Doing a bang up job with keeping it healthy, You using anything differently this time around?

Nope, all it's gotten so far is the nutrients that are in the FFOF soil and distilled water. Trying to find out if freezing ground bad guano is bad or not, kinda forgot mine outside in the storage closet and it's been below freezing quite often and even below zero a time or two. I'd like to dose it with some extra N for when it goes in to the 12/12 stretch.

I took a rough measurement with my thumb and middle finger this evening and she's easily 9" tall...or rather was. I bent her over and tied her down like I was threatening to do. I'd say she's now maybe 6" tall? I'll have to measure tomorrow; she was already beginning to adjust her foliage after an hour.
As for the seedling...not looking too hot, not even half green and barely grown. No other seeds have sprouted so looks like I'll need to be taking clones soon. Next time I water I'll hit her with a dose of my EJ Bloom and Catalyst nutes per the cloning sticky (well, says Bloom but the Catalyst can't hurt) and take clones about a week after that. Then give her another week and a half or so to veg and recover and then in to 12/12...that's the plan as it just came to me lol. Would put harvest around the end of May or beginning of June. If all works out should have plenty for celebrating the 4th of July

Just read through your first grow and then got up-to-date on this one. The box you made works amazingly, and you are in fact, "the transplant king". Sorry if i missed it somewhere, but what are the dimensions for the box? Can't wait to see what she looks like trained!

My cabinet measures 4'W X 2'D X 4'H and is made out of 5/8" OSB with some 2X2 legs (if you look close you may also notice that the rear panel extends all the way to the floor, the front door was cut just short enough to clear the carpet). The dimensions were probably buried somewhere in my rambling during the first grow lol. If you would like more details or anything just let me know.
