That's one funky looking plant there man. I've always had a thing for twisted babes! lol

She looks healthy enough. I sprouted a couple of KaliMist seeds and they just aren't growing at all. They've been up for a month and are barely over an inch tall. I gave them a low dose of hydro nutes yesterday so I'll see how it goes after a few days. They look healthy and are starting their 4th set of true leaves so I dunno.

This term refers to chromesomes in the nuecleus of the cell.
Trifoliate might be what you are talking about?

LabRat...a month old and only an inch high but appear healthy?!?!? I saw what kind of mad laboratory you had going on over there but this is strange. Have you found any other documented grows with growth rates that slow? You might be able to harvest sound summer of 2011 maybe?

Luckily my mutant is doing well also, it got a new home today and needs the new room...I hadn't even looked for roots until a few days ago and it had roots showing at the bottom where the drain holes are. I had not even been watering very deep which made me feel bad lol. Hope I didn't rough it up during the transplant, I had it almost done and realized it was so off-center it needed to be fixed so I dug it back up and rotated the root mass until I was satisfied. Two and a half weeks old.

This is the siamese leaf I was talking about...look at the leaves pointing at ~3 o'clock

Then there's this leaf, the one pointing down and the other pointing right did not seperate fully back to the steam...also a siamese

Lovely root system, my mutants had funky leafs like that too and it out grew it after the 3rd node.

if you ever look close to the very first set of leaves that sprout , on the underside you will notice they show characteristics of the next set of leaves (3 fingered set) but they are a single leaf, looks like yours partially followed that theory... ne way we all cheering for her!

Couple of quick update pics...

Doing well post-transplant, should have planted it a little deeper but nothing that can't be remedied in the next one prior to flowering

Still digging the red coloration

Extra leaf finger or whatever it's called (finger?), poor depth in this photo but if you look close you'll see it

And the two fingers that didn't seperate...

In other news I have four other seeds I am trying to germinate, would like to have two females for this grow especially considering money is basically gone atm (managed to pay rent though!). Soaked them in distilled water for 24 hours, all four sank, put them in soil two days ago if memory serves...nothing to do now but wait and see.

Thanks OMM and Sisco...if i can get extended unemployment benefits it will help. I received a "surprise" check in the mail Saturday from unemp and another today but that was the last of my regular benefits. As for the magic beans I hope they pop up quicker than this one did but I'll give them 2 weeks or so before giving up. I've got them above my fireplace to try and keep the soil temp up...warmest spot in the house. Top of my fridge isn't very warm at all and the electrical devices I have around here either are too cool or too close to the floor (cups of dirt, cats, cat's curiosity...bad idea to leave it in reach).

Norman and DroJo...I'm interested too, hoping to hell it's a girl!

My gf chastised the hell out of me today because I had not covered the seedlings with saran-wrap and was just checking on them bi-hourly (roughly) and watering when necessary. Shame on me. Anyway...new pics!

Notice that last leaf...definite shift in the green coloration from one half to the other. Not nearly as extreme as the half green, half white leaf I saw in High Times oh so many years ago (6? 7? 8 years?)...except it was split straight down the middle with the white coloring half the entire leaf and the green the other.

Hey lil N, I like my seed germinated in a cup o' water, so far that and the paper towel have been my best method, I like to make sure that I can see the root before they go in to the soil.

I have never seen my cat messing with the girls, he gets his catnip once a day..

Looks like the plant is starting to shake off the funk and growing some inter nodes too.

You'll prob. fall asleep and wake up to a sprout by tomorrow. Good luck brother!

I put the seeds in water for 24 hours and all four sank on their own, I'm admittedly a bit leary about waiting for them to germinate before planting in soil but will probably try it one day. Just hoping I didn't let the seeds get too dry, apparently my definition of moist soil is different from hers...and I trust hers more as she's made a living doing this (well, not THIS lol) before.

Forgot to turn the fan back on after that last set of pics so it sat in the 78-79F range for a day with no air circulation other than what my PC fans are moving. Couldn't figure out why it was droopy yesterday when the lights came on, watered it as it had been a while and the soil was dry, but over four hours later and still droopy. So while sitting there staring at it I realized it was kind of quiet in the cabinet...oh yeah! FAN! lol Perked right up after that. Definitely doing well, tomorrow it'll be four weeks old so I've been checking for preflowers too. I could post pics but it's just more of the same only a little bigger lol.

I might need to learn a better technique but I just put the seeds in a damp to wet paper towel and fold it to stand in a mason jar (no lid), the seeds are up in the towel away from the bottom and I put 1/4 inch of water in the bottom, the paper towel stays wet but the medium breathes, always seems to work well, healthy seeds sprout in 24 hrs or less. I have never tried putting them in a shot glass or something like it with water alone. I have successfully used a paper towel in a big ziplock bag though (leave it unzipped).

You gonna train her? And I kinda like to watch them in all stages of growth, beautiful plants. So pics are allowed.

On my first grow the plants that I LST'd wound up being male and the one I 12/12'd after two weeks of veg and no training sprouted yummy nugs so I'm a little bit gun-shy to try the LST again. I like it, don't get me wrong, and I think about it every time I check up on this plant. If I get another seed to germinate I will definitely LST one of them. This one is now officially four weeks old...maybe I'll get a bad itch this weekend and start molesting it Haven't decided when I want to switch the lights but it'll be a little while yet if I get another seedling as I'd like to veg it at least 3-4 weeks as well.
