Cool, I'll give it a closer look next time I run across it...it's around here somewhere.

Temporary veg cab is mostly complete, just need to make a jumper for the power supply to turn it on and mount the exhaust fans better. Right now there's one bolt in each one in their inner top corners, using physics to help keep them from dangling...they both push against each other in an attempt to swivel down so they just neutralize their forces. Yada yada yada...heheheh.

When the lights go off in the morning it'll be for 24 hours and then Monday morning let the 12/12 begin! Should make it easy to keep track of how far along I am as Mondays are easy keep an eye on. I'm going to let the clones stay in the dark for that period too and then put them in their temp home, I figure it won't hurt them just that one time and might help persuade them to grow some more roots. Gonna need to hit the hydro store for some air neutralizer too, the ONA block worked fine for me last time but this plant is a lot bigger so I may need to build my own neutralizer with ONA gel. We'll see...the block will be fine for at least three weeks and is less than $10.

Batts died on the camera so no pics now...after I recharge them I'll stop being so lazy and get some eye candy up. Been too long!

Btw, anyone reading this listen to Earth? Good stuff if you like the slower, hypnotic kind of metal.

Don't know if you've looked in granny420's grow, but she used ONA all over her house. Her grow is so big, it couldn't do the job. So she did something different, which I have done too and it works good for bad odors.

Have you ever heard of Essential Oils? That what's we use. It is very concentrated fragrances . A small bottle (about 10 bucks on eBay) for lemon EO. Be warned, just a little bit will do for a whole room. Just get a small glass cup or something and put some water in it and put two or three drops of EO in it and odors will be gone. By the way don't stir it, just let it sit on top of the water. It comes in many fragrances if you don't like lemon.
Well, it's a cheap idea for odor control. Some places local to you might carry it too. Sears. Kmart , and others.

I alway get carried away and do 36 hours of darkness. Can't be nothing but good either way.

It's gonna wind up being more like 28 hours because of what time I want the 12 hours of daylight to begin.

Yeah, I've heard of them but I'm looking for something to neutralize the odor instead of heavy mingling. I don't doubt EO's would work but I have plenty of close neighbors and thus prefer it to be neutralized. It's a great suggestion though that I had not considered...plus my gf's migraines are triggered by certain strong scents sooooo, might cause more harm than god. Thank you my friend.

lol, I know what you mean...I've had a few people on forums and chat rooms over the years that I would talk to regularily from Australia and New Zealand, the time difference is amazing and confusing at best lol. Glad I could help melt your brain!

As promised here are some pic updates...I've been depriving everyone for too long, text gets boring after a while imho even if it is informative.

She went in to total darkness Sunday morning to begin the transition to flowering. After 28 hours of darkness I popped the cabinet open and turned the lights on to begin the first 12 hour day period! Hence the above comment until I could post pics.

I've noticed this plant has a lot of purple in it and until now I had forgotten about the purplish/red tinge on the tips of the new growth when it was but a wee mutant lol. This is occuring throughout the plant, even at the end of the new growth. Are there a lot of strains with this characteristic? I thought about looking around to see what strains had this coloration. I know I'll never ID it if it's even a named strain but might be cool to see if there were any common characteristics between such strains.

Kinda hard to see, white on white, but a spray paint can for a size comparison. Not to tall but horizontally she's a beast. My cabinet is two feet deep and she's got maybe...MAYBE two inches to spare on the narrow sides!

Clones temporary cabinet. I forgot to take pics of the clones themselves. Tomorrow maybe...they got left under 24 hour light last night, shouldn't throw them off last night. Also finally put the two other clones in plugs and are now in there too for a total of five after tossing one a few days ago.

If you want her to grow sraight up you could get a black plastic bag like a pot sock cut the bottom out and put it around the pot so the only light it gets is from the top. Just an idea.

Thanks everyone! Groover...as thick as that canopy is and as wide as it is it's going to have a lack of light around those edges anyway. Good idea with the bag though, only problem is that the cabinet is about three feet from my head while I sleep and listening to the oscillating fan blow it around would drive me nuts lol

She has already begun to smell up the place...came home from a short errand, first time I had left the house since the lights came on really, and there was a definite odor. Luckily the weather is warming up a bit so it'll be easier to air the place out once in a while until I can get some air neutralizer (soon).

Ok...my clones are starting to turn yellow, some on the lower leaves, some on all the leaves. Been having some issues since moving them to the cabinet, plugs got dry once or twice (on the outside, not sure on the inside, couldn't have been more than a couple hours though) and the lighting cycle has been inconsistent. Since putting them in this cab they've been on a 24/0 cycle instead of the usual 18/6 because I can't find my other timer and I'm not realiable to turn them off at the right time. That has gone on for a couple days now and just today I am trying to get them back on an 18/6 schedule, killed the lights a couple hours later than their original schedule due to not hearing my alarm go off this morning (it was even next to my head, strange) and turned them on about a half hour late.

So yeah, trying to get them back on 18/6 as the 24/0 was drying them up pretty quick...the largest clone dries up quite fast but no roots yet. It's lower leaves are starting to yellow which is a good sign iirc. The other ones the yellowing is all over which doesn't sound good but we'll see. I hate this temporary veg cabinet, it was the reason I so quickly built my other one lol.

Ok guys, need your help ASAP please...

The largest clone...it's Rapid Rooter plug was drying out twice as fast as the others so even though I could not see any roots (Tuesday is week 3) I decided it probably has them and went ahead and planted it in a cup. This has stopped it from drying out daily at least (no more than a couple hours at a time). I think it's actually fairly healthy, the yellowing is mostly on those lowest leaves as expected but the tops seem to be losing a little green too which has me a bit concerned...more on that next.

BUT...

these clones however are not doing as well. The one on the left has developed some dark grey/black spots on a couple leaves. The one on the right is starting to change from green to yellow on all of its leaves...not just the lower ones as clones are expected to do.

I have some EJ Catalyst (0.03-0.01-0.1) that I want to use as a foliar feed as I believe the yellowing is being caused by lack of nitrogen as they've only been getting distilled water for three weeks now. A mild dose is listed on the bottle as 1 tsp. for container plants.

How mild should I go for clones? Need to know ASAP, this yellowing has been getting worse all week and I need to address it soon. Thanks! I found the following thread but no dosing info:

Oh...the momma plant is starting to stretch nicely and I've noticed a couple of pistil hairs starting to elongate Lights are off on her atm so pics later.

I wish I had something for ya Lil N. but, I have read that they may look really bad until they get some roots developed.. if you feel like nutes are the way to go then try it, you can only make them better or put them out their misery.

hey lil N with all of my clones as soon as roots show & are strong enough to pick up the plant by the stem with rapid rooter attached i soil em in solo cups or folgers cans and give two drops of age old nitrogen from an eyedropper this usually stops any yellowing and wilting/disease that i have had trouble with also try adding a drop or two of dishsoap to a 2liter bottle of water and spray the leaves with it this makes a protective film on the leaves that holds water in hope this can help good luck my friend

Thanks for the tips COmmjDude...I may give that dishsoap thing a shot, I've read about it before but forgotten it. The spotting is what concerns me, it's developed on one of the other clones too iirc. Memory is a bit hazy and I'm feeling a lil lazy with this triple indica blend I picked up...NL X Blueberry X R@spberry (or was it str@wberry?) Cough...I think the last one is right, the first two for sure. Regardless of what exactly the last strain was it sure is effective!

Going on three weeks tomorrow and no roots are showing on any of them but the largest clone that I put the plug in the soil is doing pretty good. I almost want to say it's starting to turn a little greener but I'll hold off on judging for a few more days to be sure. I put some of the FFOF over the plug and watered it hoping a tiny bit of nutes might make their way down to the roots that I am assuming are in the plug...somewhere lol.

I didn't like the pics I took this evening so I'll try again tomorrow, sorry. I believe I just counted 26 separate growth tips for colas I'd say at least ten of those should be of decent size and there are some shorter, thinner shoots that are lower in the canopy that I'll have to wait and see where they wind up after the growth spurt. She's already put on about three inches since I flipped the lights just six days ago...from 9" to 12" at her highest point. Hard to believe she's already as tall as my last plant but as big around as a 55g drum or damn near anyway...20"+ across I think.

I think I'm going to put my early estimate at 2.5-3oz leaning (hoping? lol) towards the high side. This is based off the 1/4oz main cola I had on my first grow and comparing that to the shoots in their current state.

For sure man i think i read it somewhere on 420mag and when mine wilt i do this and its effective that sounds danky though man i'm tokin on some toe jam(uk cheese*dj short's flo) hella dank as well... can't wait to see some pics sounds like your lady has gone budzilla on you
