LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - LST

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

I really don't know what these nutrient manufacturers are thinking with these feed schedules. For example, Advanced Nutrients, I take their feed chart and use 1/8th what they say for the first couple weeks, 1/4 after that and work up. I would love to see them take an autoflower from seed and dump 4 ml/l of grow a & b on it.

PPM meters all measure EC then multiply be either 500 or 700, 500 being more popular.

I start to feed my autos the day after I place them in coco or rockwool, after they have sprouted with 300ppm. I don't go over 1.8ec, well some strains I've been able to do 2.0ec and 2.2ec, but they were hungry bitches.

With Cyco tech nutrients, I haven't been able to go above 1.6ec for autos or regulars at any stage of the plants life. The leaves go way green and the stuff is lower on nitrogen than other nutes I've used. I love Cyco tech. It also has way less salts in it.

So , PH 5.8 , Ec 1.9-2.0 more like 1.9 . hope all will be ok . i ve continued to tie down stuff today . some pics

;)That is going to be one bountiful harvest. It looks like a dance rave in there from the top down. I hope you can find your way out of that tent come harvest time. :welldone:

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

with the leafs being gone i hope it will be easy to harvest :)looking a lot better that I anticipated when I started out and the fact that i got 3 out 4 females from regular seeds is even better :) happy smokey days ahead
PS : any idea when the smell will kick in ? ive been runing the filter for nothing so far , just a little smell , the stuff I smoke in the house smells a lot stronger anyway :))

I have never grown those particular strains but I always heard that NL is suppose to be good for stealth because of its low smell. My fan runs all the time regardless for the negative pressure and to keep the air exchanging.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

yea but I could run the fan without the filter at this point , saves the life of the filter or stuff like that :))
All fans extractions and the 6 inch ones are ON 24/7
also getting a fan for intake , hoping to get the humidity down . i also placed a couple of dehumidifiers in the room where the tent is so I can have a dry room when i put my intake fan in .
they don t seem to be absorbing too much . humidity is between 40% at night and 60-70% during the day ( talking bout the ones in the tent ) - should I place them higher or lower for best effect - i am guessing somewhere higher not on the ground of my tent ? hope the new fan and filter will solve problems for the upcoming bud buffing stage :)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Sorry, humidity here is seldom a problem. Almost the opposite, especially in the winter months I run a humidifier for the seedlings. Is your humidity higher during lights on? Mine is always higher during lights off.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Well, night humidity 40-46% , daytime 80% . I have opened 2 windows to the tent so I can get some airflow , I am sure that s the problem , no intake fan . It should arrive Tuesday , already have the filter , game on :)
i was also thinking of adding a 400w light or one sort or the other I got when I bought a bundle of other stuff but that will only make the temps rise higher . Maybe I wll put in in and put a 2-3 hour timer on it daily just to help a little

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

well , the temps now are arround 21-24 all the time , lights on and off so I think the new light might help get things back in order . higher temps during the day, we shall see :)
when i put my intake fan in the tent might have to put that on a timer as temps are arround 2-3 celsius at night and I keep some windows open so it gets very cold , maybe to cold for them with no heat from the lights .
what do you guys think ?
i installed the new light todat but only ran it for 1 hour before lights off . anyone know what type of light it is and how far away it should be from my girls ? will get some hangers this week so i can lower and raise them easy
EDIT : I THINK IT S A 250W OR 400W CLF
If i Turn the PS1000 off it s like it s night in there :))) not even 20% of the light of the LED

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

that cfl needs to be way closer to the plants if its to have any effect at all, like inches from them mate. why have you put an intake fan in? its not necessary at all. if you want more air use a larger extraction fan mate. be careful you dont get a smell leak running the intake fan due to positive pressure.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

yea ive beed reading now and will lower the lights tomorrow , just don t want them to get in the way of the perfect sun which I have a feeling it will do . so no need for an intake fan ?i wanted to add it because at some times my humidity goes up to 100%. how do I actually replace the air that is being sucked out ? or is it being replaced by what the plants produce ? yeah , that s why i was thinking of adding intake . i will read on positive pressure as I have no idea what you are talking about :))
PS : the fan in the tent now is pushing air out of the tent

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

you should have the fan pulling air through the filter and out of the tent. if its a small room you want the ductwork to be outside of the room as well as the tent so that you arent recirculating bad air and allowing humidity to build up. If its just blowing into the room that is probs your problem. cut a hole in the ceiling and put duct into the attic or put a board on the window and have the air blow out the window. An intake fan wont do anything at all mate, waste of electric and a fan.

You dont need that cfl in there with the led. more than enough wattage and it wont yield you anymore. if you lower it you will block light from the led as you say.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Plants are looking great! I cant imagine you need more light than the perfect sun?? Hot air holds more water. It doesnt become a probem until the air cools down and it condenses. Running your fans higher at lights out would push the wet air out before the temps drop.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

that s pretty impossible to do as I am on the ground floor and the room has street view . the room is pretty big , the largest of the house . right now the fan is pulling the air through the filter and out of the grow room into the living room . I always have 2 windows cracked but with all the rain I don t think it s a good idea . what else can I do ?
what i can do is move the filter and fan to the other side of the tent and blow the air out exactly near the 2 windows that are opened all the time , that will help with evacuating the hot and wet air . i will try and do that tomorrow .

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

The perfect temps for top of canopy is 80F. This is why with 1000w HPS lights, growers run the ambient temps at 77-78f because HPS acts like a heat lamp as well and raised the canopy a few degrees.

LEDs don't do that, so I keep the ambient room temps at 80 during lights on.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

i had no problem keeping it at 80 and over till not so long ago but now with the cold weather here and temps in the day as low as 50 and at night around 15 I am going to have to rethink keeping the windows open . but if I close them I will have no fresh air in the room . the radiator in that room is turned off at the moment , should I switch it on and keep the central console on 70f or something like that ? or should i just keep it off in that room move the filter to evac near the window and see how it goes ?
