Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Can anyone recommend a good cheap dehumidifier ? my humidity is up to 75% during the day . and 50% at night . a bit much I would say for this stage . so anyone know anything worth mentioning ? an Ac would be to complicated and unnecessary at this point as the only problem is humidity . And also , should I close the pasive intake if I put in a dehumidifier ? or leave it open and put the dehumidifier in the room that hosts the tent so that the air coming in will be dry ? waiting for opinions today if possible so I can get it done tomorrow :)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

75% will be fine until the buds start to dense up. i dont think it cause you any issues mate. but if you put a dehumidifier in dont close the passive intake, the plants still need to breath and you put alot more stress on the extraction fan. the humidity will drop when weather cools in next couple weeks. it would be a problem if you had really dense large flowers.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Well , I am planing to have really dense big flowers soon :) they are buffing up at the moment . Also , I would like to be able to control the enviroment a lot better with a dehumidifier . I found one , has some decent reviews , not to expensive , bought it today but as light are out can t fit it till tomorrow morning . i like the fact that it only has one small green light , very easy to cover , no LCDs so you don t know what ur doing if covered . it has a 3L tank and is supposed to pull 10L a day , a bit much if you ask me but the price was right , it has 2 years warranty and I can use it inside the house if needed . I guess I am supposed to put it on a timer and keep it on while lights are on ? or keep it on all the time ? it doesn t have a build in humidity meter just a dial from 1 to 9 .
I am not able to turn it on at the moment because the way it was transported , it says I should keep it upright for at least 24 hours if it was not transported that way .
Well, will see what happens. A dehumidifier can t hurt , even if I am not using it in my tent :)

happy growing

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

from what ive read it does have a build in meter so unless ran in continuous mode it switches off when it reaches a certain humidity level . So it will be trial and error because it only has a 1.2.3.4.5 dial maybe it/s x10 and it s the humidity level. will se tomorrow :)

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

it should be able to be set at the level you want. set it at 60% . it will stay on if its over 60%. it will cut off when its full. you will probably need to empty it a couple times per day or more if its only 3 litre tank. trial and error until you get used to the model of dehumidifier.

It might be worth considering building a sealed room next time. that way you will be in full control of everything.

75% would start causing you probs last 2 weeks of flower only mate but a strong oscillating blowing across the heads would prevent mould alot. Its rare to get mould on anything less than fist sized buds unless mould is already established in the room. Of course its far better to have a better control over the space, that goes without saying.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

location mate :) would love to have a room to seal up and make a grow room maybe sometime soon :) all I want is to see this one done for now and as best as possible because all went rather well :)
Did I mention I am trying super cropping on one of the photos ? I am curious how it will react . i choose the tallest one , the one that has started to grow taller once of a sudden , after the streched apeared to have stoped . anyway :)
good times
TKS FOR THE TIPS !!

oh , and the dehumidifier has an continuous drain , just have to attach the pipe . I am thinking of adding a big sealed bottle 10L or something like that . it kinda actually depends how much it will take out of the room , I can also add my other tank (45L as a collection tank for the dehumidifier - it has a lid and a sealed entry point , might just work :) I wonder what PH and ppm has the colected water got :)

I know people that collect it and use it just like distilled water.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Smart people those . The PH is 6.7 and the ppm reading is 0 . I am going to setup my other tank to collect the water and use it for watering . save myself 8 bucks a week :)
Plants are looking great . A little nutrient burn on one of the photos but nothing to bad, I think it.s from the days I had my ppm reading sky high because of the water . Also one of my photos just grew almost half a foot above all other plants she s gonna be a monster Im sure :))
Some photos for you

THEY STILL LOOK PRETTY SMALL TO MY INEXPERIENCED EYE :)

ok im up-to-date on all 20 pages now lol. the buds are forming nicely and still have quite a bit of filling out to do. excited to see your end result, good work!

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

you are probably right . on the other side , they are just starting to look like buds , swelling up starting 2 days ago . will give it another week and maybe I will finish them under 18/6 . Would the photos mind going back to veg for 10 days ?
some pictures maybe you can see a little better :) right now they are not really buds just buds lookalike :) will they grow fatter ? :) you just ruined my day saying they will not swell :))
