LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - LST

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

You don't need fresh air from outside. The air in your house has way more CO2 than the air outside.

Instead, I would close all windows and pull air from the room you are in most often, that is where all the co2 is.

For example in my house, my co2 is 1500ppm easily or higher. Only me and my girlfriend in a huge house. So all I do when I have tents or box grows inside the house is move air from outside the tent, to inside the tent. This makes it easy to keep the temps higher in the tent. Also the tent then acts like a small heater.

I have 4 inch fan pulling air out of the tent, and a hole at the bottom letting air come in passively.

A house is free co2. If the grow space is in a room in the house, I see no reason to try to bring in air from outside. It is a waste of free CO2.

ok cool , but it s difficult for me to make a hole as it s not totally dark in the room when light should be off as I can t block the windows on account of neighbours . also if I close the windows where does all the hot air being evacuated go ? I don t want to have to open the door all the time , sometimes i am not home for a day or 2 .
i think i will close all windows except a small one that is for evac anyway and move the filter to that part of the room so the hot air can go out . i will also try to open one of the windows of the tent , or part of it and keep it as dark as possible in that part of the room . Ill see what I come up with tomorrow x

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

well :) i moved the filter with the evac near the window , closed all other windows , placed 2 dehumidifiers in the room where the tent is at a higher level near the evac and the open window , created a pasive intake on the other side and close to the ground and tried to block the light as best I could . Let s see the results :) will keep you posted :)
PS my autos are at day 60 now and my photos at day 65 :)

i also took one fan out of the room the one that was already blowing at root level and have it pumping air thru an insect screen that my tent has build in , the passive intake i was talking about earlier just got a little less passive :)

Those girls are so beautiful! You are going to have some top shelf bud.:bravo:

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

ADVICE WELCOMED at this stage , at any stage actually :)

Thank you . I do hope so .

I turned on the heat in the room where the tent is , hoping to have the same temp in the room as I have in the tent because now it s about 5C warmer in the tent and I am worried about condensation and humidity .
also I seem to have almost the same temp day and night with a variation of 2C-3C .The humidity also varies now from 40-50%at night and 55-65% throughout the day . I am thinking keep the heat on during the day and off during the night ? will see what gives
@LEDRF - I have raised the light at almost 3 feet so I can get better coverage . Is that to far up or will it be fine ? I think it covers the area a lot better now .

happy growing

If you are still having humidity problems here is a potential solution you may want to try (it may cost some in electricity bills but it does work). Put a window air conditioner in the window. It has to be one with an actual temperature control, not just low to high. Then use a space heater in the room with an automatic temperature control as well. Set the space heater temp the same or higher than the one set on the air conditioner. The space heater forces the air conditioner to run sometimes. While it runs water is condensing out and leaving the room via the drain hole. I've used this method to good effect in my grow area. You may have to make minor adjustments with temperature differences to get the humidity level you want depending a bit on the outdoors conditions. If your grow area is fairly well shut off from the rest of the house (you know, closed doors at a minimum) this should work to keep your humidity down as well as moderate your temperatures.

Why buy a air conditioner and a heater to take care of a Humidity problem? Why not just a Dehumidifier? I've found mine on craigslist for 25bucks and it has the added benifit of adding heat to the room for me

I needed the air conditioner for temperature control anyways. I had a bit of an issue during the summer around here.

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

No more problems . The passive intake with the 6INCH stand fan blowing through and moving the evac from the fan next to the window and turning the heat on in that room also has solved all my problems . I still keep the little window open day and night so temps don t go to high in the room and that the hot/damp air has somewhere to go but it seems like a wining solution . I should say the dehumidifiers I bought earlier this week are not sucking any water from the room or very little , the tent walls are no longer wet . just great !
Temps during the day MAX 80F , during the Night MIN 65F
Humidity during the day MIN 55% - MAX 60% , during the night MIN 40% - MAX 45%

Do they ? I have no idea how the bud is going to develop as this is my first real grow so I am enjoying the process tremendously .I just find myself staring at them :)) Looking forward to sampling them

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

Yes it does look like good nugs will be plentiful. I've been growing for about a year and I still find myself just mesmerized watching their leaves flutter in the fan's breeze, just thinking about the day when I cut them down and hang them up to dry. Then ahhhhhhhhh finally the sweet tast of success!!!!! :Namaste:

Re: LED Grow BlackDiamond/Perfect Sun - Autopot - NL x Haze - Haze Auto - NL Auto - L

i changed the res today . only aded 0.5ml cal/mag per L or water and 1ml A + B and 0.5 ml explode . got a ppm of 6-7 , ph as usual 5.8 .
inside the tent the smell is not too bad but when I pinch the buds and then smell my fingers, WOW, smells like Lemon ! can t wait to roll a big fat one :D
