Landrace Genetics 101

The site is still in it's infancy but i saw some exciting bagseeds of a seller from India. I can see that it has a good future because it could help us find some hidden treasure from different countries with the help of different sellers of bagseeds around the world. Different landrace strains that is still undiscovered just like the many landrace strains on the mountains of India or hidden farm in Jamaica. The connections of landrace enthusiasts are much closer now. It's like ebay of bagseeds.

I'm getting curious now. Since I believe India is the most rich country in terms of landraces, What landrace strain you wish to have from India?

I would want some of the strains from the punjab (pakistan/India border) near Lahore where the Nihung Sikhs have been living in villages practising horsemanship, sword, rifle, and cannabis use techniques since before rifles were invented. I'm guessing it's a pretty good sativa if they can swordfight under the daily influence :)
 
Some nice close-ups of my ACE seed's Panama x Malawi. This is 4 weeks under a 400w, actually 3 under an MH (to mitigate stretch) and only about 1 under an HPS.

Didn't quite get the net filled out to be a proper scrog, but the trellis kept these girls from blowing out of the tent like I feared.

That one was very pretty, I almost bought some of those myself. ACE listed this one as their top yielder though, so given that plus that it's a limited edition I decided to grab some of it while I could. I still need to try their Golden Tiger and Bangi Haze

Oh man... I bought that seed a few years ago and it never popped. I really wanted to see it grow. It was the most money I have paid for one seed. You know the weather was horrible at the end of that year so maybe its better that it didn't pop.

They do love crossing that Malawi with stuff. I've been meaning to grab some some seeds of that.

Anyone know what ACE's "breeder's pack" things are all about?
 
Ace breeder packs have beans from 3 different females and their Killer Malawi Male. The females used are the Old Killer Malawi, New Killer Malawi and I believe a New Red Malawi female.

I've got some on the way too.... I've been waiting for the release.
I'm also working on some of Nierika's Acapulco Gold at the moment, the first two were males so hoping for a female this time around, I'll be real happy if it works that out that way.
