Landrace Genetics 101

At the risk of being chaistened for off topics discussions? Did not know that grey/brown. I've read the trilogy a couple or three times, but not the related like The Silmarillion.

I've not read the Silmarillion (I like plot and and adventure more than backstory) but the girl is Tolkein Nerd (sometimes converses in Elvish-one of them) and has an encyclopedic knowledge, Also a vast knowledge of 70s and 80s rock and pop music.

It's only logical that J.R.R. Tolkein smoked cannabis.

My money is on Tolkein smoking Indica over Sativa. I'm finding Sativa's to be a big family favorite this year, much more than hybrids.

He was originally

Huh... I was assuming you chose the nickname because of the Slavic God of hospitality of the same name (when translated to English). Learn something every day....

That gives small space sativa people consideration for your Legacy strain. I see you are also a modest person. You can fit plants in like that and such uniformity?...your expertise is well evident. I am very envious of your Legacy strains*

WOW GATO!
That's one hell of a compliment and thank you!

Just wanted to pop in and show off some pics of my Panama x Malawi...

I decided to flip today because I couldn't get a lot of good information on how much this strain will stretch but as it's a hybrid of two 100% landrace Sativas I decided I'd better quit waiting much longer. Most are telling me they're gonna blow out of this tent lol

Well, I've got my journal for the grow started up if anyone wants to stop in and see how it's going. Not only is it my first time growing Sativa, but my first time using a water-only organic soil grow. Second time using a scrog. So yeah, flying by the seams of my pants on this one.

I've been spraying them to keep the humidity up. Without it it hovers in the 16-32% range, this at least keeps it in the 28-37% range. I've been putting LABS in the spray and feeding the soil with it too but past that just 100% water.

Hey everyone,

Conrad asked me to swing by and share some pictures of my 70's Maui Wowi that I have growing. I started to attempt sprouting these seeds I found back at the end of June and posted here asking for advice on how to go about it.

I did get lots of advice which helped me get this one and 3 others to pop out of the rooters in a half a dozen tries. Out of 6 attempts with 6 seeds each time, I got a total of 4 to pop out of the rooter. I lost one from my last attempt so now I am down to this one and 2 in the veg tent with 2 fresh clone cuttings. This one popped out of the rooter on July 30th and was finally flipped to flower 10 days ago.

This is Hayley;

She is sharing the flower room with one CKS White Widow clone and 3 CKS Purple Kush Clones taken the 1st week in July

I did no training on her or her clone room mates and they are all growing in 5 gal smart pots with Coco Coir under 2400 Chinese watts of Burple (580W at the plug) using the complete Skunk Labs nute line.

She is 46 1/2" tall and the stretch is starting, I have around 30" max that she can go before I run into light /heat issues so it will be a fun 12-14 weeks ahead!

I took two clones from her along with some more WW so the other two surviving Maui's have company.

The original plan was to sprout a male & female, lock them in a tent and let them make lots of seeds, but sprouting 40 year old seeds is not so simple in my case! Eventually my chances will get better and with any luck one of the two in the veg tent will be a male.

Conrad seems to think this gal show a lot of Afghani traits, the fans are in between Sativa Narrow and Indica chubby, they are quite long and growing her with the Kush & Widow gives a nice comparison.

I do have a journal with a lot of pictures that documents how and what I did to get 4 out of 36 seeds to pop along with my last grow and cloning process, many here have dropped by so if you haven't check it out...the beer is cold and the last harvest is cured!:passitleft:

Great drop, man. Thx!

And it was coming seedless sometimes or so I heard.

What I had in the 80's was seedless and it cost 175 an ounce. Which doesn't sound like much to some, but for me at that time it was expensive. Decent Columbian was 40 from the guy I was getting from. It sort of surprised me. I was thinking Hawaiian? Thinking it was be a skull popper, but it wasn't. Very potent but also very smooth.
