Landrace Genetics 101

The stuff we had access to always had seeds except for the Thai Stick that drifted in around the first two months of the year like clockwork. The better stuff like the California Sensimilla, Maui, Red's, and Gold's maybe had a couple dozen seed in a oz...the Mexican ditch weed had a 1/4 oz.:laughtwo:

I think we were paying between $100-150 a oz for the better stuff back in the late 70's where the Mexican was $40-60 depending how dry the supply was.

Hawaiian Strains are great, here some Federation Seeds Hawaiian Sativa i've grown last year.:Namaste:

Purple Oaxaca79SKULL x Baglung Nepali aka Purple Satellite. :Namaste:
DSC032156.JPG

OOOOH! You got some of them!

I imagine Most people will likely focus on the Oaxaca79SKULL, but not me. I want that Nepali more than the Oaxaca! Imagine one of the seed sources will eventually get that hybrid, but not likely the Nepali from him. Maybe the Nepali will be found on a search, but I very much doubt it will be as refined as well as the provider of what you got has.

The green monster of envy is loose! Envy sucks!

Sorry for being vague...I'm an excitable person. Knew who it was done by and his posts in the thread and saw that it is from BlueHemp, but cannot obtain from them. Seems they are the only source. Do not do paypal and such. I was interested in the Nepali for it's flowering behavior. Tropics said it flowers when it goes below 16hrs light and his saying it is the fastest maturing sativa becasue of it. That was the feature...sort of behaving like an autoflower. I guess and thanks*

No Problem! :) You can get the BlueHemp Nepali from Derg Corra Collective, this Seedbank is specialized in the reproduction of the old lines of BlueHemp Switzerland. Leb27, Maroc, etc. Just google for Derg Corra Collective and you should find what you're looking for, it's the first entry on google. They accept Bank Transfer and Cash in the mail. :thumb:

xlnt thread, folks! Lots of good information & I'm really glad there's still so much interest in these older strains!

I love this topic about landrace. I'm always excited to learn more about the different landrace strains from different part of the world. Have you heard of a bagseeds exchange? It is called bagseeds.com (Mod sorry if it is not allowed to post the link, Just delete it.)

The site is still in it's infancy but i saw some exciting bagseeds of a seller from India. I can see that it has a good future because it could help us find some hidden treasure from different countries with the help of different sellers of bagseeds around the world. Different landrace strains that is still undiscovered just like the many landrace strains on the mountains of India or hidden farm in Jamaica. The connections of landrace enthusiasts are much closer now. It's like ebay of bagseeds.

I'm getting curious now. Since I believe India is the most rich country in terms of landraces, What landrace strain you wish to have from India?
