Landrace Genetics 101

RSC landrace from Sinai. It's been picky. Even in Doc's calcium inundated soil it had the large spots on the leaves and hollow stems. I dosed her with calcium carbonate and Epsoms and the issue seemed to calm down. The stems are now solid and the spots on the leaves have stopped spreading upwards for the most part.

I have the sativa leaning pheno. It doubled in height over any of my other same age plants. It also started to throw pistols at around 5 weeks of 16/8. She's been in flower under 11/13 lighting now for about a week.

Hey man!
Nice retrieve on her. Curios currently running a strain that showed just as much deficiency and as your plant. I corrected it mostly with bumping up cal/mag and added kelp spray.
I am using new lights currently.
my question is what lights are you running her under?

Thank you. I was puzzled as my soil is loaded with calcium, but evidently she wanted even more.

I'm running quantum boards. 4k in veg and 2.7k in flower.

Are the Quantum boards white LED? Because I am running Spectrum king for first time and before this I never had issue with dificencies Now with white LEDs I am really having a struggle, with the same kind of leaf damage.

They are full spectrum. I just upgraded from off brand blurple LEDs. This usher only plant I've had issues with excepted for self inflicted ones from transplanting and topping to early.

I've had a problem with mag deficiencies using the blurples which I've read is common. I've not ran a plant solely under the quantum's yet. This will be my first to finish that has been under full spectrum from the beginning. My other strains look just fine though and I'm not expecting any issues like this. It's just a picky plant.

I've got a back up of her in case the smoke is outstanding. The plant is having too much trouble to use her for breeding stock though. Hopefully I find a keeper in the seeds I have left.

You have to increase nutrients across the boards with Quantum boards. My big tent is running 4 quantum's and I've increased my ppm by maybe 1/2 again.

This is a topic I need to learn more of. Ive never run led always hid. That quantum board should be here any day now. So the plants need more nutes to cope with the light?

I think that is a very fair assessment I have also bumped up my cal/mag, my base nutrient 20-20-20 I have also started foliar with these and maxicrop for added micros also move the lights up a bit. its funny that differences in light spectrum would require such heavy tweaking in supliments.

I've got some on the way too.... I've been waiting for the release.
I'm also working on some of Nierika's Acapulco Gold at the moment, the first two were males so hoping for a female this time around, I'll be real happy if it works that out that way.

I think I got my Acapulco Gold female.
She's a tall lanky one.
