Landrace Genetics 101

I have several Zamaldelica beans so I'll be watching this plant closely. Wide leaves for a 100% Sativa.
 
I grew a couple of Zamaldelica crosses that Ziggy made pollen chucking in a tent with Purple Haze, Golden Tiger, Panama and one other I can't recall.

They both had a similar growth habit - fairly narrow and tall - but neither one was particularly fluffy. The one I harvested had denser buds than this next one, which will probably come down this coming week. The leaves were a typical narrow sativa though, not fat like yours. At the end, they both ended up with those flimsy blades that curl and dry up. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So, dunno.

The smoke is great! It reminds me very much of DrGrinspoon, which is Thai/HOG/Panama. A nice potent rush, solid high, easy fade.

I have done a 'pretty good' search of people who grew from seed. And I see it on others first single leaf. On 420mag, Curly Beav, I think had something like it early on as a sprout.
Now that you mention it I could have been the water I soaked the seed in, I normally use distilled, but cannot swear to it. I know the earthbox it is planted in has had nothing but distilled.

Indeed I remember Curly Beav having similar questions when he ran it earlier this year, about the wide leaf. Not 100%, but i think it is a Malawi trait. ....here is a picture of Curly Beaver's ZamalDelica from back in April, almost the same age as mine. Look very similar.

:thanks: That sounds perfect. I am gonna run through Dr.Ziggs old grows see if he had any that looked like that.


The seed came in the breeder pack from ACE thru seeedsman. I got 2 seeds left:cheertwo:

Yeah the Lilly I have in flower which is nearly pure sativa from the Congo has those long spindly salad fingers!

now I remember you had that scrog. i dunno how i am gonna train besides tie downs...
And you had the outdoor 'hoop house'. Man, i love that picture by the water.:thumb:
 
Here's an Erdpurt. It's a much smaller plant but it's looking like the whole thing is gonna be one big bud. I've never grown one before so not sure what to expect. I only vegged it for 3.5 weeks (from when it popped) and it is at 5.5 weeks of 12/12 here.

Big difference in height between this one and that old Acapulco Gold!

I also have a couple Bangi Haze plants in there but can't get to them at the moment.
