Thank you Pennywise!
The Oaxacan is has always been a very heavy plant and the Nepali isn't a slouch either. These need a long veg time to get stock enough to carry large buds, these were grown outdoors and brought in to flower at about 5 ft tall in ten gallon buckets. From seeds to flower under light they would be much slighter. But clones can carry a good one ounce bud plant in a sea of green. A couple years ago I flowered 16 cuts in a 4x4ft area plants about 2ft tall, in 2 gallon pots each and they yielded a full pound. I suspect this cross could come in just over that, in same set up.

Hey Van Stank!
Thank you. Outside these yielded 2.5 ounces in two gallon pots mostly organic very low feed. These had a very cherry berry smell.
The sisters were repotted into 10 gals fed well and brought in to finish under Spectrum King LED. Which this is my first run with Spectrum King. These are looking like 6 to 8 ounce plants? Outside these finish fast by mid Sept. I kinda messed up the indoor grow when one of my new timers stalled in the on position. Not sure how long but some plants started a heavy reveg on the tips some I snipped off for he pics, that's also why you may see some new white hairs. The inside plants that looked like clones of the outdoor plants got more massive and took on a more pine forest smell with berry undertones.

Beauties there tropics. Some of the most pleasing colors with vermontman's buds. Was trying to hold off buying more beans but that Oaxacan is calling my name. Nepali sounds a good one to cross it to. Sounds like perfect chill out weed.

Hello Yesum!
Thank you!
I think you will find these really different from anything else, and very worth growing. These do like a longer veg time to put on the Mass these took on, These were outside and brought in about 1/5 into flower. Would love to see a grower like you give these a go.

That would be interesting, I have seen some outstanding LST jobs here that give hope of it maybe possible for me to use them...if I grow a single female and top it and the LST it like crazy. Would they respond poorly to topping and trying to LST to limit their size enough for a 18 inch by 18 inch by 36 inch tall box? That is the largest cardboard box in a closet I think I can get away with without any possible attentions. That Oax sound terrific, but I imagine that Nepali is no slouch either. I have always been intrigued by Nepali.

BTW
Got those Bubblegum autos to have some auto genes and they were cheap..3 for under $30 with shipping plus the freebies. Next up is Purple Paralysis. A little more to my type...just a little. Never had anything with Lavender before....of course I've never had almost anything high quality either. Sad but true. That is why I am so amazed at what is posted here...they look like mutant plants, but all they are is scientific grown.

:)

I honestly do not know all the ins and outs of LST and I do not want to mislead you. I do know that Oax ix a long cycle plant in other words to gain massive bud size the plants need to be a chronological age of a couple months. That being said I have flowered clones of her at 20 inches tall and yeilded 1 ounce per plant in 2 gallon pots. The Nepali typically doesn't like sharp changes in light cycle. they start flowering at 16 hours of outdoor light starting mid July here?
If you do try them please post.

That 1 ounce yield from 20 inches may be ok. I have experience in orchard management and pruning fruit trees and MJ plants follow the basic rules of that. Maybe an indoor sativa grower can give info on the possibles. There is a number of dwarfing trees methods and encouraging fruit buds production over woody support structure. The Nepali flowering like that isn't surprising. I imagine the altitude they came from need early flowering to mature seeds in time for the cold. Imagine. Have to be another to give a report for you to review, but somebody will be getting them to try...I'm sure and they'll make a grow journal. At 20 inch start flowering...how much circumference did it get? I underestimated that box size..more like 15 inch x 2ft x 3ft high...small, but one decent sized plant could be grown. Thanks.

You are 100% correct about the altitude also this Nepali was brought to Denmark and grown for years which is a much further north Latitude than here hence much longer days in June And July so plants that finish in Denmark mid Oct finish here mid Sept it would seem.
Well as far as circumference I had 16 plants in a 4ft x 4ft square area with 360 watts LED light first LED grow. that fit 16 cuts in two gallon buckets and harvested 1 good pound sea of green style, So about 1 square ft per plant?

Many years in Denmark? It sounds like a very refined example. Wow on the production and it being possible to fit that many plants in and them not be a real jungle tangle. I did a C-99 and tied it down in a circular shape following around the rim of the pot. That absorbed quite a bit of vertical growth into the side shoots. It worked well in keeping the plant small for a small space and get full light exposure. Recall the general rule in pruning is that one leaf in full sun is equal to 9 in the shade. Higher quality fruit is produced as well. MJ must work like that as well. Thanks for that info...I find the history of strains very interesting....a sign of age? lol

Thanks and wish you well on the seeds.

This probably isn't the best thread to ask in, because they're not landraces - more like they have some claim of having one or more landrace parents. However, it's possible that someone who is subscribed to this thread has tried these strains in their search for something sativa(ish). They're Sensi Seeds strains, so I can provide links:

So... Anyone have any experience with one or more of the above? Preferably recently, but any at all would help, I suppose.

hey TS, my closest experience with the SS Mex is Dinafem Diesel, I have grown a lot of them, it's a very good strain, one of my top five. nicer buds than a straight sativa

I read an article saying it's what is in Dinfems Diesel (afgh x SS Mex)?

I'm not sure that rule works in my garden. yield seems to be based on canopy size and canopy thickness when entering flower.

If I have an 18x18" canopy 2 inches deep, I expect 1-1.5 oz
if I have an 18x18" canopy 5 inches deep, I expect 2.5-4 oz.

They both have the same number of leaves in sunlight.
The thicker canopy has thicker branches and roots to support it.

Sativa vs hybrid doesn't seem to make as much difference in yields as individual strains.
Just my garden, your mileage may vary :)

I am also amazed at anyone who can get 12x12" canopies in a sea of green. That takes work!

Very nice info Radogast....and btw....is Radogast as in "The Brown"?
lol

Terrific movie character...one of the better from that movie.

Radagast the Brown (in the movies) has a deep appreciation for The Shire's weed :)

He was originally Radagast the Grey in Tolkeins manuscripts (to pair him with Gandalf the Grey, like the two Blue Wizards?) but Tolkein changed him to Brown by the time the books were published.

Radagast is friend to the birds and animals - He's the one who sent the eagles to rescue Gamdalf from atop Saruman's tower. I have no idea where the eagles came from in the Hobbit movies, but presumably Radagast was meditating somewhere and sent the eagles to save the hobbit and the dwarves in their time of dire need. :)

And yes, I mispelled Radagast when I entered my screen name. I'm more Gandalf-y in real life, but Radagast keeps a lower profile than Gandalf, none of that flashy fireworks and leading armies stuff.

At the risk of being chaistened for off topics discussions? Did not know that grey/brown. I've read the trilogy a couple or three times, but not the related like The Silmarillion.
