Sounds like someone is going to be having some fun . CLShrooms and now weed too? Sounds to me like a party.
Looks like another fun weekend for Lady C. I can’t wait for my turn. CL.It is going to be a busy day, so I have started early.
This is one of the Tidal Wave Jar cakes after the third dunk. Just a few more off that one, and I will be done with it.
I have one Tidal Wave cake in the dunk right now from the second round of jar inoculations. I'm hoping to get one of the Pan Cyans' in a dunk today or tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
I can't either!Looks like another fun weekend for Lady C. I can’t wait for my turn. CL.

Yes, I am using distilled for the dunks. What a great picture! I love watching them grow......
When you give them a dunk are you using distilled water?
Oh geez, the same here. I have fans blowing all the time with the indoor plant grow, which is now in two separate rooms, so the air circulation is constantly moving. I have to wait 20 minutes or so before I start in the SAB. LOLI think you will find once you start using a pressure cooker and the SAB your contamination will be reduced. I have not lost a single grain spawn jar in a loooong time. My problem lately is some contamination in my dub tubs, about 25%. I usually lose 1 out of 4 shoeboxes of the substrate. It is what it is though.........My Laboratory is far from ideal lab conditions.
Sounds Like a Sunday afternoon tea party is in order. I just found a recipe off a guy I follow on Tictoc. After you make the tea you add cacao and honey. Supposedly the shrooms are a vascular constrictor and the cacao is supposed to negate that side effect of the shrooms. Just got my cacao and raw honey the other day. When I get off call It's tea time for me.Oh geez, the same here. I took a look at the rice jars I had done last week, and it sure looks like Mycelium starting. My fingers are crossed.
Currently waiting on another delivery of supplies, and getting things finished up. Tomorrow will be a no work on anything day. I have a friend coming over and we are going to try a couple of fresh Tidal Wave shrooms.
Well, my Lemon tek is ready...we might go for that. We'll see.Sounds Like a Sunday afternoon tea party is in order. I just found a recipe off a guy I follow on Tictoc. Lemon Tek for the win!Well, my Lemon tek is ready...we might go for that. We'll see.
Let us know how that cacao does. I have a lot of that in my pantry and I always keep raw honey on hand, because I make greek yogurt for Mom once a week using it.
Did you happen to watch a video on YouTube about trichoderma actually seating itself permanently into the plastic tubs? It may have been one of PGT's, I can't remember. No have not seen that or heard of it. I give them a good scrub and then give them a 70% isopropyl wipedown. Next time I will make sure I scrub behind the ears.....Thx for the heads up.Did you happen to watch a video on YouTube about trichoderma actually seating itself permanently into the plastic tubs? Here's the video, it was a short vid with a cell phone:No have not seen that or heard of it. I give them a good scrub and then give them a 70% isopropyl wipedown. Next time I will make sure I scrub behind the ears.....Thx for the heads up.
I thought you were taking the day off.....things are lookin good.UPDATE: 12-17-23
Here's one of the rice jars from last week. It looks like mycelium....I hope it's mycelium. LOL
I'll wait a few days and give it a good shake to disperse the mycelium. I have a couple of other jars, rice and birdseed that are looking promising.
The second pic is mycelium that had been transferred from another petri dish, and it's spreading very well. This one was from liquid syringe spores. The lump is just agar from transferring. I need a little practice on that to get less of a chunk during transfer, I dug a little too deep.
It is impossible to get a sharp image through the plastic petri dish, but I wasn't going to open that up to do it.
I was up way too early....again. LOL So, I'm taking the morning to get things organized here and doing some reading up.I thought you were taking the day off.....things are lookin good.
Birdseed works great too. I just fish out most of the big black floaty seeds and the rest is mostly millet!!I have pressure cookers, and an Instant pot max that does pressure cooking which I use for the pint jars. (I do a lot of canning)
Millet seems to be popular, but the prices are a bit high. I have a bag of popcorn here that will never be used. LOL
