KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432W Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal & Review

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

Also notice the AK47x Alaskan Thunder x Brainstorm Haze #1 is producing trichomes in vegetative growth.

this might be an LED thing; I was looking at mine with a 'scope, and the Original Sour Diesel that I was putting into the 12/12 tent had loads of tiny little trichomes all over the inner parts of the leaves..

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

Except for the photographs that I have just taken the AK47x Alaskan Thunder x Brainstorm Haze #1 has not been under a LED light panel and only under Florescent lights from germination.

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

ah, so it's not an LED thing then.

on another question; do you use cal/mag through flower, or is it a veg stage supplement?

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

I have been using 5 milliliters of Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus per gallon for my plants in vegetative growth and in flower. I have noticed better growth even in vegetative growth under Florescent lights or under the Twilight Groups LED 432 watt Spider COB LED grow light since I have been using a calcium and magnesium supplement.

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

I use Active Eye Growroom Glasses to protect my eyesight from damage from the Ultra Violet and Infra Red wavelengths in the light emitted by grow room lighting. I originally purchased the Active Eye Growroom Glasses to protect my eyesight from damage from the Ultra Violet and Infra Red wavelengths in the light emitted by High Pressure Sodium lights I use for flowering. I have found the Active Eye Growroom Glasses will also protect your eyesight from Ultra Violet and Infra Red LED light from the LED light panels as well. The Active Eye Growroom Glasses color is a little blue but you can see the leaves and read your plants health very well under the LED light panels.

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

cheers for the cal/mag info - I, too, have noticed a definite surge in growth since adding it, but just wanted to be sure it was for all stages. I use only organics, so the only one available to me here was HUMBOLDT Nutrients Equilibrium, and it seems OK so far.

I would introduce a calcium and magnesium supplement containing calcium nitrate and magnesium nitrate Such as Botanicare's Cal-Mag Plus after 2 good weeks of vegetative growth from a seedling. Cal-Mag Plus and CaliMagic are synthetic calcium and magnesium supplements. If you are using a natural source of calcium and magnesium based calcium and magnesium supplement such as General Organics CaMg+ you can start to add at the start of vegetative growth. I use Botanicare's Cal-Mag Plus at 5 milliliters or 1 teaspoon per gallon as a calcium and magnesium supplement for the majority of my cannabis plants.

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

I originally ordered Cal Mag, but it wasn't organic, and I was advised it would kill all of the organic nutes I had in the soil already, so I thought best to stick with the pure organics, and the HUMBOLDT range where the best reviewed that I could find. it's a very thick, milky liquid, and has nitrogen - 1%, nitrogen phosphate - 1%, potash - 2%, calcium - 20%, magnesium - 2% & iron - 0.34%, all derived from rock phosphate, calcium carbonate, crab meal, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulphate and iron oxide - I just like going natural :peace:

I purchased some after you mentioned then before.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THESE GLASSES.

Without these glasses, I would be trying to resell my two little LEDs.
Without thess glasses, I feel the eyestrain in seconds and have "green vision" for minutes after I leave the room.

I purchased these Active Eye glasses after a previous post.

I love the way they work!!

When not wearing these glasses, I feel eyestrain within seconds. After leaving the grow area I see the world in green for several minutes.

Without these glasses, my little LEDs would be looking for a new home.

I'll do better with full goggles for coverage, but until that point, these work great!

Flower Day 06 Hindu Kush #3 clone #2

Hindu Kush #3 clone #2 continues to be sprayed with a Silver Thiosulfate solution daily. I mixed up a fresh batch of Silver Thiosulfate spray.

Silver Thiosulfate Solution

The Silver Thiosulfate solution is made from

Part A: 0.5 gram of Silver Nitrate mixed into 500ml distilled water
Part B: 2.5 grams of Sodium Thiosulfate mixed into 500ml distilled water

20 milliliters of part A and 20 milliliters of part B were mixed and shaken together.

360 milliliters of distilled water was added to make 400 milliliters of Silver Thiosulfate.

King,

How and when to apply? I'm taking notes for future. Is this applied to just one plant and then mix it with another at a later stage?

Thanks in advance...

Re: KingJohnC's Twilight Groups LED 432w Spider COB Seed Cabinet Grow Journal and Rev

The Silver Thiosulfate solution is sprayed daily only on the plant that you wish to produce female pollen sacks on and create Feminized pollen to pollinate the remaining female cannabis plants that you wish to produce seeds on.
